Chapter 17
Hello again guys. I started a new book and although the concept is trash, you should go read it. It's called Wild Life (I know, really original.). This is to make up for the days I've missed. -S
Third-Person POV
The squad has a two-week break and are yet to decide how to spend it. The Sisters want to go visit their dad but they have to figure out how to transport everyone there. Laf and Herc don't really care where they go so long as they're together and the same goes for John and Alex.
John's POV
I sat on a chair while Angelica and Eliza were having a heated debate in our dorm. "Y'know, we don't all have to come, you know that right?" I told the bickering sisters. "We can't leave without any of you!" Angelica exclaimed. Peggy walked in ignored her sisters completely.
"They do realize that they could just rent a van or something." Peggy muttered to me. I nodded.
"But they insist everything must be "perfect" ."I sighed. I told them what Peggy had told me but as I suspected, they despised the idea. Shrugging, I checked on Alex and he was quickly typing away on the computer.
"What's the plan?" Alex asked without looking up.
"They're still trying to figure out how to transport all of us in the fanciest way possible." I sighed shaking my head.
"Did you tell them it wasn't necessary for us to be transported in anything fancy?" I nodded and he finally looked up. "I'll have a chat with them in a bit. I just need to finish this up." He said and started typing faster. Oh Alex...
Peggy's POV
When I have a good idea, it's overlooked and when someone else has a bad one, it's acknowledged and considered. I hate being overlooked all the time. I stalked out of John's and Alex's dorm and headed toward my own. What's the use, I'll never be noticed by my own family no matter how hard I try. I covered my face with my pillow and screamed all my anger away. What would be enough to impress my sisters, what!?
Thomas' POV (A few days ago.)
I walked to Alex's dorm for the umpteenth time. What have I gotten myself into? The door slowly opened to reveal an exhausted Alex. "Yes Jefferson?" Alex asked wearily. Poor Alex, hope he's alright.
"I-I just wanted to apologize for all the trouble I've caused." I said as I hung my head in same. He blinked, nodded, and closed the door. That went way better than expected.
"Well?" James asked eagerly.
"I did and he accepted my apology." I said. He gave me a huge hug and thanked me for going through with it. I shrugged and discussed random stuff with him for the rest of the day. I'm glad I have you Jemmy.
Maria's POV
Peggy had told me how she was treated by her family. I felt really bad, so I decided to get her something special. I carried it in a bag and stopped by her place. She should be here. I knocked and Peggy slowly opened the door. When she saw me she immediately brightened "Hey Mari! What are you doing here?" Peggy asked. I handed her the bag.
"I thought you'd be sad, so I stopped by." She graciously took the bag and let me in.
"My sisters are in a friends dorm at the moment, so you're fine." She told me. I nodded and sat with her on the couch. We told each other terrible jokes to make the other laugh.
"I didn't know I knew such bad jokes." Peggy giggled.
"Me either." I confessed. We continued laughing and joking around until I decided it might be time for me to be heading home.
"See ya later Pegs!" I called as I left.
Eliza's POV
"I really do think you should at least try to acknowledge Peggy's presence every once in a while." I told Angelica sternly. "We have made her feel bad since she was born and it's only now that she decides to come to us about it." Angelica huffed, knowing that I'm obviously right.
"Bye John." I waved and pushed my sister back to our dorm.
(Time skip because I'm out of ideas.)
We walked inside to see Peggy sitting on the couch. She saw us and immediately bolted into her room. "And we scare her too." I muttered. What was Peggy doing just sitting there, because the Peggy I know is unable to sit in one place for very long. I sighed and went over to Peggy's room. I knocked and called out her name, but she did not answer or even call out. Why are you two being so difficult.
Alright, I have finished with yet another chapter. You guys deserve it, after all, you gave my book nearly seven hundred reads in under three weeks. You guys are amazing!!! Sadly, all good things must come to an end and I will have to wrap up this book pretty soon. I'll try to make a sequel if I have the motivation and story line. -S
