Hey guys! I've been thinking about writing another book simultaneously with this one. It will still be a Modern AU, but it has a different story line and it focuses mostly on Hercules Mulligan and Lafayette (Mullette). I don't know if you would want to read that though. Anyhow, on with the story. -S

     Thomas' POV (Right before James left.)

 "Jemmy..." I said, trying to reason with him. Why does he care so much about Alex and his little posse.

"Don't call me that!!" He yelled. He grabbed a bag that had tissues and cough drops in it and stormed out of the room before I could stop him. The door slammed, indicating he was gone.

"James..." I whispered. "I'm so sorry..."

     Angelica's POV

"Peggy, what is the problem." Eliza asked sweetly. 

     "The problem is that I have been living in your shadows' for much too long and I need to live my own life, which you both have shielded me from for the last time." Peggy said, rather quickly. That's when I realized that we had been way too overprotective of her. But, we did it out of love. 

"I'm sorry that feel that way Peggy, but we tried to protect you all these years because we care about and love you and we just wanted to set a good example." I said reasonably, even though I did not fully understand how she was feeling.

"Yeah, you wanted to set a good example, yet, you go around attacking men!"  Peggy snarled, obviously referring to the "Alex Incident" which none of us liked bringing up.

"I thought we agreed not to discuss that!" I howled.

"No, you two agreed when I wasn't here." She spat. "Overlooked, as usual." 

     Laf's POV

     "Laf, do you know where Alex and John went off to?" Herc asked me that afternoon. John had said he was taking Alex somewhere, but he wasn't specific. Of course, if I told Herc that, he'd go ballistic and search the ends of the earth for them. But, why am I bad-mouthing him when I am the same way?

"John said he was taking Alex somewhere, but he didn't tell me exactly where. But don't worry mon amour, I'm sure they'll be back sooner or later." I explained. Herc sighed but nodded.

"If they aren't back by nine, I will go out and personally escort them home." He grunted. I just rolled my eyes at him.

     Alex's POV

     I was being dragged across the streets of New York City by John. "Where exactly are we going?" I asked for the fiftieth time. He didn't answer. John finally stopped in front of a store and told me to go in. I did as walked in, I noticed this wasn't just any store, it was a book store. But, I don't have much money. That didn't stop me from looking around and flipping through a couple interesting books. 

"I know you really can't afford much of anything and I know that you don't like people giving you things Alex, but I brought you here for me to buy you some books, my treat." He said generously. 

"B-but how are you going to pay for that, I tend to read a bit too much for my own good." I mumbled. 

"My dad. He gave me so much money that I don't know what to do with it. Not to mention he's paying for basically everything." John said. I slowly nodded and accepted the fact that I probably wouldn't get out of this.

"Thanks John." I said as I continued flipping through a couple different books.

     I'm going to end it there. I'm working really hard to get another chapter out today, but I don't know if that'll be possible. Thank you guys for almost five hundred reads!!!! ou guys are insane!! Thank you again for reading!! -S
