Lilly's POV

It was my turn to be sorted... The Sorting Hat said, "Hmm... Very, very powerful. You want no one to know that secret... Hmm... Very Slytherin worthy..." I pleaded, "Please, please be Gryffindor... I want to be the same on as my father..." He smiled and said, "Very interesting. You are cunning and perceptive as a Slytherin, but you are very caring and kind... But you are brave as a Gryffindor, but not a show off... Very, very, very intelligent, but not self-absorbed... Not a Ravenclaw, but very close... Hmm, modest like a Hufflepuff and very loyal, but at rare times a bit cocky... Ahh, I see your future since you have viewed it yourself... Right, then, oh right! You cannot be categorized Miss Black... you have a part of each house..."
"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"
"Better be GRYFFINDOR!" I sighed and said, "Thank you..." I sat at the table I wanted.

As conversations continued, Seamus Finnigan, an Irish lad said he was a Half-Blood, Dean Thomas, British was Muggle-Born, and Neville Longbottom was a pureblood.
Seamus asked me, "What are you Lilly?"
I said, "I don't know, I am an orphan. I've lived at Hogwarts all my life..."
I smiled as Harry asked, "How?"
I said, "Hagrid found me outside the gates and I was brought in. He is like my stepfather, Professor McGonagall, is like my grandmother, Headmaster Dumbledore is like my grandfather, the staff is like my aunties and uncles, and the students were my friends and sisters and brothers..."
Hermione asked, "What was your view on seeing this place for the first time?"
I stared off into space and said, "The first day I came here... Seeing the grounds, a curious child I was, I explored everything at once... I just flew and flew and every since then, I have been here. With the exception of going to the Ministry. It was amazing." I smiled at the thought.
Ron asked, "How are you working with the Ministry?"
I replied, "I have certain powers the Ministry is interest in. Since I'm able to change my age, they allow me to work with them during the summer and I return here to help out the teachers."
Neville asked, "So your powers are?" I said, "Teleporting, wizard magic, flying, element control, age change, disguises, seeing the future, reading minds, duplicating things, speak to animals, making somethings seem different from the eye, and I'm discovering more each year..." They looked astonished at me. I smiled and said, "First years, all the same, always amazed at things..."
They laughed and Seamus asked, "How do you not know what blood you are?" I said, "I was never told, and it wasn't discovered... I'm thinking a pure, but I'm leaning on half or Muggle-Born like Hermione..." They nodded and the conversation ended...

I lead them to the tower with Percy and I went up to my own private room. It had everything I could ever want it was like a house. Big on the inside and small on the outside. I smiled and went to bed. Today was my first day, but I know this year is going to be brilliant! :)
