I caught Halimeda as she suddenly fell, her skin felt cold as the small dog before us shifted into a large beast.. Some amalgamation of a Snake, lion and goat. Hali had told me enough about greek Mythology to know.. This was a Chimera.

It walked towards me, poison dripping from it's mouth. My eyes shut as I prepared for an Attack until I heard something like a battle cry, I looked over to see Alina trying to stab the Chimera with a pencil but with no affect... I was going to die....

Suddenly, a flash of blond lept into action, taking the monster out with one strike. When I looked up to see who our saviour was, she had her grey eyes focused on Halimeda who's breathing had already become dodgy as she was likely poisoned when she was bitten. The woman kneeled down to feel Hali's forehead as she muttered "The poison has spread quickly...". The woman scooped my friend from my arms and carried her to a cheap rental car before talking with herself again "We can try and heal her on the ship.." and "Where was Echidna?". I wanted to ask her so many questions but all that came out was "Who are you?" And she instantly sighed and ended up replying "My name is Annabeth, Annabeth Chase." At that moment, Alina fangirled really hard but didn't say anything about the books we enjoyed together.

I looked over to Ivy who had been extremely quiet since the Chimera appeared "Are you okay?" I asked her as we slipped into the car.
"Nothing... I'm okay." Ivy replied softly but I knew she was lying... I didn't push her as it may have been personal. The car drove off and I fell asleep on Alina's shoulder.
