Knock knock knock

Allison quickly wiped away her tears as Tanya entered the room.

"Are you alright?" she asked

"Yes" Allison snapped
"I have a headache so could you please leave me alone"

"But we have to go for Diwali shopping" Tanya cried

"I don't care!" Allison cried back

"Fine" Tanya fumed
"We don't need you anyways"

"Aghh" Tanya said
"She is so rude. And impossible!"

Fasina bit her lip anxiously
"Let me try"

Tanya was taken aback. Fasina was rather shy and she and Allison didn't get along well because the two were opposite to each other.

She did not know that Fasina hadn't forgotten about that time Allison had smiled kindly at her.

She gently opened the room and walked towards Allison.

Allison sighed without turning
"Go away" she said loudly and turned to see Fasina holding an onion, cut into two halves

"Take these" she smiled
"They'll help in faking a temperature"

Grudgingly, Allison accepted the onion as Fasina sat down beside her

"It's about your parents isn't it" she asked gently

A heavy feeling weighed on Allison's chest.
"Yes"

She felt a tear slide down. Soon she found herself rambling on about how her parents never payed any attention to her as they were so busy. They never had time for her

"Maybe it isn't as you think" Fasina suggested
"Maybe your parents don't realise that you miss them. Have you ever talked to them about this?"

Allison shook her head

"You should. This begavious seems unintentional. Maybe they just wanted you to enjoy and make new friends. Talk to them and get everything sorted out"

Allison nodded thoughtfully and smiled

"Thank you" she whispered

Fasina squeezed Allison's hand reassuringly
"You can thank me by coming to the mall. Shopping can do wonders"

Allison let out a small laugh
"That it does"

Tanya glared at her brother, not ready to give up.

"What!" Taran finally said

"Give us the money and you can go wherever you want to" Tanya said smoothly

Taran scowled.
"No ways"

"Okay. Lets go to Gucci and then Prada, girls as Taran escorts us"

Her brother's eyes widened as he hurridely handed over the money to Tanya who smirked.

"Stay around" he said and dissapeared into the crowd

Tanya turned to Fasina and Allison

"So now that we are free we are going to buy sarees!"

"Sarees" Allison pronounced the word with doubt

"Oh they are traditional dress of India. You guys need something for a sovenier"

Fasina shrugged at Allison as Tanya led the two into a huge shop with sarees of various materials and sizes

"Wow" Allison said

"This" Fasina said
"Is going to take time"

2 hours later the girls left the shop with one saree each.

Allison had bought a sleek dark blue and beige saree whereas Fasina had a pink and beige sarees with intricate purple designs.

The two of them had insisted that Tanya should get one for herself too so Tanya settled on a seagreen and white saree with black patterns. (AN: See the picture above)

"Oh god, my feet hurt" Allison complained

"This is just the start dear, we still have to buy suits" Tanya purred, waging her finger towards another shop

"We don't need any more soveniers" Fasina said with wide eyes and Tanya chuckled

"But suits are what you two are going to wear for Diwali, tomorrow"

The girls let out a groan and followed Tanya into yet another shop.

"What is this?" Allison exclaimed, looking at a piece of cloth that looked like a silky frock as Tanya giggled

"These are suits"

The girls took a long time deciding between the beautiful and ornate pieces of suits and by the time they were done it was lunch time

They dumped themselves on the benches of Pizza hut and ordered something before dropping from exhaustion.

"I am so tired" Fasina said

"Me too"Allison groaned

"At least we are done now" Tanya said with a sigh

"The shopping was fun" Allison admitted

"Eating will be more fun" Tanya said as their order arrived

And with that the three girls attacked at the food

"How do you even wear this!" Allison screeched

"It's so heavy!" Fasina gasped

Tanya giggled as she took a picture of the unsuspecting duo. Allison had wrapped her dark blue saree around her waist loosely, which was the reason she was looking like a stuffed up teddy bear. Fasina had wrapped it a little too tightly and had somehow pinned it with her help but she couldn't manage to keep the "Paloo" ( AN: Its the piece of cloth that comes on top of the shoulder. Refer to pic) on top of her shoulder as the piece of cloth kept slipping away

Tanya helped Fasina adjust the paloo
and told her to losen the saree a little and told Alliso to tighten it up.

When Allison came out next the saree was about perfect.

"I feel like I have been mumified" she muttered

"How do you walk in t- whoa!" she cried as she tripped and her face had a chit-chat with the ground

"Isn't this heavy" Fasina said, remerging from the bathroom having pinned the paloo with a safety pin.

Tanya giggled. You guys look perfect Indians
