Chapter 4

Third person's pov

Mrs. Park stared at Hyunjae with wide eyes, shock etched across her features. Hyunjae, his breaths still unsteady, managed to speak through gritted teeth.

"Get out! I am not like him! I hate him, and I hate you!" he cried, his voice was trembling and his eyes were red.

Before Jungkook could respond, Hyunjae's eyes rolled back, and he collapsed to the ground in a heap.

"HYUNJAE!" Jungkook exclaimed, panic coursing through him as he rushed to his son's side. He gathered him into his arms, cradling him close as he pleaded for him to open his eyes.

" Baby, open your eyes."

" Hyunjae!"

Sujae, his face pale with worry, knelt beside them, his hands shaking as he gently patted Hyunjae's cheeks in a desperate attempt to rouse him.

Jungkook's mind raced as he assessed the situation. "Sujae, call Hyunjae's doctor," he instructed, his voice urgent. "And tell the guards to take Mrs. Park out."

Sujae nodded, his fingers fumbling as he dialed the doctor's number on his phone.

"Tell the guards to take me out?" she shouted her tone laced with indignation. "I am in my brother's house, understood?"

"Your brother is in the grave," Sujae said sharply,"If you want, I can leave you there, and no one will ask you to get out from there."

Mrs. Park's eyes widened in shock at Sujae's boldness, but she quickly regained her composure,

"Wow! Your stepmother has manipulated you to an extent that you're not even caring about your blood relationships," she sneered,

Sujae ignored the shouting women and called the guards.

Mrs. Park's protests fell on deaf ears as the guards arrived to escort her out of the house. She stormed out in a huff,

"I can go by myself, but don't come to me when this mother of yours shows her true colors," she spat, her voice echoing in the hallway as she made her exit.

And soon after 15 minutes the doctor arrived.

After 30 minutes.......

After about 30 minutes, the doctor finished checking up on Hyunjae. He sighed and looked at Jungkook and Sujae.

"Well, physically, he seems fine," the doctor began, his tone serious. "But his PTSD has been severely triggered."

"It's important not to ask him any questions about what happened," he advised, his words directed at Jungkook and Sujae. "Let him process things in his own time."

The doctor continued, his voice gentle, "In terms of treatment, we need to adjust his medication," he explained. "The last time I saw him, he was doing relatively well, but now he's clearly disturbed."

Jungkook nodded, his mind throbbing,  "What do you suggest?" he asked, biting his nails in tension.

The doctor reached for his prescription pad which was in his bag, jotting down a few notes. "I'll prescribe a higher dosage of his current medication to help stabilize his mood," he said,"And I'll also add a few additional medications to help manage his symptoms in the meantime."

Jungkook nodded, "Thank you," he said and tried to give a small smile but failed.

The doctor gave him a reassuring smile before leaving.

As the doctor left, Jungkook and Sujae exchanged worried glances before entering Hyunjae's room. Hyunjae was still groggy, his eyes fluttering open as they approached.

Jungkook wasted no time in comforting his son, gently laying beside him and stroking his hair with tenderness. "It's okay, baby," he whispered soothingly,

Hyunjae muttered something which Jungkook didn't understood but he surely knew that Hyunjae was trying to comfort him because he had a smile on his face,

Turning to Sujae, Jungkook beckoned him closer with a warm smile. "Come here, baby," he said softly, opening his arms.

Without hesitation, Sujae nestled into Jungkook's embrace, resting his head against his mother's chest. Jungkook enveloped them both in a protective embrace.

With a kiss to each of their heads, Jungkook murmured, "Sleep now, hmm? Eomma is here."

Slowly but surely, the tension in the room began to ease as the warmth of Jungkook's embrace enveloped them. Hyunjae and Sujae soon succumbed to the comforting embrace of sleep, their breathing steady and calm as they nestled against their mother's chest.

After ensuring that both of his boys were peacefully asleep, Jungkook gently extricated himself from their embrace. He carefully adjusted their blankets, making sure they were snug and warm, before quietly slipping out of the room.

As he stepped into the hallway, the weight of the recent events pressed heavily upon him. Leaning against the wall, Jungkook closed his eyes and took a deep breath, willing himself to stay calm.

"It's okay," he whispered to himself, "You're fine, Jungkook. Calm down. Breathe."

He repeated the words like a mantra, trying to calm himself down.

After a few minutes, Jungkook straightened up and decided to go for a walk. He needed some fresh air to clear his mind and gather his thoughts.

At Taehyung's House..........

At the dinner table everyone was present and the atmosphere wss calm until Heejin cleared her throat dramatically, catching everyone's attention.

"Yah, eonni and donkey, listen to me," she announced.

Taewon quickly retorted, "You're the donkey, not me!"

Taehyung who had been using his phone smacked Taewon's head without looking and said, "Apologize to your noona,"

Taewon recoiled theatrically, as if he'd been zapped by an electric shock. "You never take my side," he grumbled, shifting in his chair with exaggerated indignation.

Taehyung raised an eyebrow, setting his phone aside for a moment. "Kim Taewon, I said something,"

With a resigned sigh, Taewon muttered a half-hearted apology to Heejin, rolling his eyes for added effect.

Heejin gave Taewon a teasing smirk before continuing, "As I was saying, APPA MET HIS PAST LOVER IN THE GROCERY STORE."

A hush fell over the dining table and Taehyung looked up from his phone. Soohyun and Taewon immediately latched onto their father, bombarding him with questions.

"APPA, WHO IS IT?" Soohyun demanded eagerly, her eyes wide with curiosity.

"Who is it? Are they pretty? Are they older than you?"

Taehyung gently pushed his children away. "Uff, stay back, it's hot, you know," he said, wrinkling his nose in mock disgust. "And I can smell both of your sweat."

Soohyun shot back. "Could be your own!"

Taehyung sniffed his shirt theatrically and shook his head. "No, it's definitely yours," he declared with a grin,

" Oh gosh, why does nobody showers in this house." Saying this, he got up and sprayed the room freshener.

The three rolled their eyes.

After the dinner.......

After dinner, Taehyung slipped on his shoes, preparing to head out for a stroll. Taewon, noticing his father's movements, piped up, "Appa, are you going somewhere?"

Taehyung nodded with a small smile, "Yeah, I was just going for a little walk. Want to join me?"

Taewon shook his head, rubbing his back. "No, my back hurts."

Taehyung let out an exaggerated sigh. "It seems you're the old one, not me."

Taewon rolled his eyes, saying, "It only seems, Appa, but you're the oldie here."

Taehyung pretended to be offended, mock-glaring at his son. "You brat," he chuckled. "Come on, let's go for a walk."

But before Taehyung could convince Taewon to join him, his son dashed off to his room, leaving him standing there with a bemused expression.

Taehyung muttered to himself, "I'm only 45. Why are my own children calling me an oldie?"

With a shrug, he stepped outside the house, ready to enjoy his night stroll alone.

After a few minutes of walking  Taehyung decided to make a quick trip to the convenience store but suddenly without warning, rain started pouring down.

" Gosh, the weather was fine just a few minutes ago."

Taehyung started running, hoping to find shelter before he got completely soaked. But in his haste, he collided with someone, their bodies crashing together in an unexpected embrace.

Instinctively, Taehyung reached out and caught the person around the waist, their faces mere inches apart. As he looked into the stranger's eyes, a sense of déjà vu washed over him. Those doe eyes seemed oddly familiar, stirring something deep within him.

Lost in his thoughts, Taehyung didn't even notice the rain soaking through his clothes, plastering his hair to his forehead. Suddenly, a passing car sent a spray of dirty water flying, snapping him back to reality.

Blinking away the droplets, Taehyung realized the awkward position they were in and quickly released his hold on the stranger. But before he could utter a word, the stranger spoke up.

"YAH, DO YOU HAVE NO MANNERS?" Jungkook exclaimed looking towards the dissappearing car. "I HOPE WHEN YOU GET OUT OF YOUR CAR, YOU WOULD FALL ON MUD."

That voice...........

Taehyung watched as Jungkook turned away, muttering a quick "thank you" before darting off towards the nearest shelter.

Left standing alone in the rain, Taehyung couldn't stop thinking about the man he had encountered with, Wasn't this the same person he had seen earlier? He looked so similar to someone.

With Jungkook........

Returning home, Jungkook was drenched from head to toe, rainwater dripping from his clothes and hair. He squelched through the doorway to find his two sons, Hyunjae and Sujae, waiting for him.

"Hyunjae, Sujae, when did you wake up?" Jungkook asked, "And Hyunjae, why are you out of bed? The doctor told you to rest."

But before Jungkook could say anything further, Hyunjae rushed forward, exclaiming, "Eomma, oh god, you're all wet! You're going to get sick like this!"

Sujae quickly grabbed a towel from the nearby closet and draped it over Jungkook's shoulders, nodding in agreement with his brother. "Why did you go out in the rain without an umbrella?"

Jungkook shook his head, trying to explain. "When I went out, it wasn't raining! And why are you out of bed, mister?" He said looking at Hyunjae.

Hyunjae crossed his arms, looking slightly offended. "I woke up because I was thirsty, and you weren't in bed. Do you know how worried I was?"

"Eomma, don't disappear like that! You know how hard it was to keep Hyung from calling the police." Sujae said in a high pitched tone.

Jungkook's eyes widened in surprise. "The police?"

Sujae nodded, "Yeah, because he thought someone broke into the house and kidnapped you!"

Before Jungkook could respond, he let out a loud sneeze, followed by another one. Hyunjae shook his head, tutting, "Look, now you're already sick."

Jungkook waved off the concern. "It was just a sneeze. I'm human, I can sneeze—" He was interrupted by yet another sneeze.

Hyunjae's eyes widened in alarm. "Oh gosh, three sneezes in a row! You're definitely getting a fever. Go and shower immediately. I'll get your warm clothes."

Jungkook opened his mouth to say something, but Hyunjae cut him off. "Do you want to get even more sick? Go and quickly take a shower."

With a pout, Jungkook muttered, "Sometimes I wonder if you're my father or if I'm your mother," before trudging off to his room to shower.

After taking a warm shower, Jungkook emerged from the bathroom wearing an oversized black hoodie with a matching black bow in his hair.

Jungkook has long hair like this,

He flopped onto his bed, feeling a bit better after the shower, but his mind kept drifting back to the encounter in the rain.

As he lay there, lost in thought, the memory of those familiar sharp eyes flooded his mind, causing him to let out a frustrated cry. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WHYYYY WHYY WHYYYYY JUST WHYYYYYYYY DO I HAVE TO REMEMBER THAT BADTARD!"

Suddenly, he heard the creak of his bedroom door opening, and he looked up to see Hyunjae and Sujae standing there with a mixture of concern and confusion on their faces. Hyunjae held a handful of medicines and a glass of water.

"Eomma, is it that person again?" Hyunjae asked, eyeing Jungkook's expression.

Jungkook shot him a glare, his lower lip jutting out in a pout. "YES, IT IS! SO WHAT? HUH? SO WHAT!" he exclaimed, his voice rising in frustration. He kicked his legs back and forth childishly while still lying on the bed. "I WANT TO KILL HIM AND EVERYONE THAT LOOKS LIKE HIM!"

Sujae glanced at his brother with wide eyes, then back at Jungkook. "Hyung, I'm going to my room. I don't want to be murdered at such a young age," he said with a nervous chuckle before quickly retreating to his own room.
