"What's gotten into Nue?" Naruto asked. "That's not our Nue-sama anymore. She must be under some kind of controlling jutsu, and I'm guessing he's the caster." Maria said, pointing at Madara. "He must be the reason why she wasn't waking up before." Sasuke stated. 

"What do we do? How do we get her out of his control?" Ino asked. "Wait a second. Maria, you can control people by making eye contact with them, right?" Shikamaru asked. "Yes." Maria nodded.

"Maybe if you can get close to Madara, you could probably make him undo the jutsu on Nue." He said. "Even if I could, I'd have to get as close to him as possible." Maria said. "I'll make a clone and have it assist you in case Madara tries to pull any strings." Hashirama offered. 

"Thank you, Lord First." Maria said. "All right! Now let's get our friend back!" Naruto said. "Hai!" Maira nodded in agreement.

Madara narrowed his eyes at the ninjas as they talked amongst themselves. "They're trying to formulate a plan to take Nue from me. But their plan won't get far," He said before looking at Nue. "Nue, take care of them for me." 

"Yes, Master." Nue replied and dashed towards the ninjas, her first target being Naruto. Luckily, Naruto saw her coming and was able to duck under her attack. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

A dozen clones of Naruto surrounded Nue as she stood there calmly, ready to fight all of them. "Get her!" One of the clones yelled before all of them charged at Nue. 

Nue was prepared as she took out two guns and began shooting at the clones. One of them aimed to punch her, but she jumped over him and shot it in the back. Nue did a front flip and slid across the ground, slipping between a clone's legs. 

She created a machine gun in her hand and shot at all the Naruto clones as she quickly got to her feet. Her plan was to get rid of all of the fakes and focus on getting to the real Naruto. Nue looked past a few clones she had let live and spotted the real Naruto. 

"Found you." Nue said before running towards the real Naruto while dodging or killing/disposing of Naruto's clones. As she got closer to Naruto, her weapon changed from a machine gun to a katana. "Nue-sama!" Maria called. "Nue-sama, onegai!"

Maria quickly got in front of Naruto, protecting him, just as Nue was about to stab him. "Nue-sama, please listen to me! Hear me!" Maira begged. "Ninja Art: Restraining Pillars!"

Just as Nue went to stab Maria, her body froze for some reason. "Nani?"

She noticed her body wasn't responding to her and she was forcefully flung back until her back smashed against the two stone pillars that were formed in an 'X' formation.

"Lord Third!" Maria said, looking at him, noticing he was the one who casted the jutsu. "Maria, if you can, reason with her! Maybe if she remembers you, she'll snap out of it!" Hiruzen said. "Yes, sir!" Maria nodded and faced Nue.

The restrained girl glared down at ninjas as she struggled to get free from the pillars. "Nue-sama, please! I know you're still in there! Hear my voice! Can you at least recognize me?" Maria called to Nue.

"Please... Try and remember. I miss you, Nue-sama. I also miss meeting that little girl who always had a smile on her face. Please, let me see her again. Let me see you again, Nue-sama. Come back to us!" Maria said.

Nue frowned as she struggled to free herself from the stone pillars. "Hmph. Surely, this isn't the best you can do, Nue. I know you can do better than that. Now, show me your true power." Madara said. As if hearing him, Nue's eyes flashed purple before raising her head.

With a loud scream, Nue used all her strength and broke free from the pillars. "Watch out!" Choji yelled as the pieces from the stone pillars came falling down. Everyone did their best to avoid the falling rocks and Hiruzen looked around. 

"Nue's gone!" He informed. "Where is she?" Hashirama asked, looking around as well. Everyone was looking around until Nue appeared, grabbing Sasuke's throat. "Nue-chan, don't!" Naruto called. "Don't do it, Nue!" Sakura chimed in. 

Sasuke grunted as his hands grabbed Nue's wrists with both hands, feeling her grip on his neck tighten with each breath he took. "You will die." Nue said. "Snap out of it, Nue! Please! You don't wanna do this!" Maria said.

"My orders... are absolute." Nue said. Thinking that was enough, Madara snapped his fingers, signaling Nue cease and desist. Nue dropped Sasuke to the ground and floated off the ground before flying towards Madara.

"He's controlling her like she's some kind of pet to him." Naruto said, frowning at how his friend was being treated.

"All right! Let's go! We can't waste another second!" Hashirama said. Everyone got to work and began to fight again. The ninjas went in groups, following clones of Hashirama, in attempt to stop the Ten-Tails.

While everyone was doing their jobs, another of clone headed off to deal with Madara and Nue while Maria tagged along. "Madara might have a few tricks up his sleeve when we get there. I'll cover you." The Hashirama clone said to her. "Hai." Maria nodded. 

"Now then, time to deal with you. Madara, sorry to keep you waiting." The Hashirama clone said, once he and Maria approached him. Nue stepped forward and got in front of Madara, preventing them from coming any closer to her 'Master'. 

"No..." Madara set his weapon down and sat down on the ground. "A clone is no fun. I'll wait for the real one to show up." He said. "You will release my Mistress from your jutsu at once." Maria commanded as she took a step forward.

When she did, Nue summoned a gun and aimed it at Maria. "And what will do you if I don't? Haven't you forgotten who I have by my side? With Nue's strength and loyalty, there's no doubt that you'll lose." Madara explained with a smirk. "Nue-sama is not your pet!" Maria snapped.

"I never said that, now did I?"

"You act as if she is your pet. Now, return my Mistress to me!"

Madara stared at her with a bored look on his face. "Nue, do you recognize this woman?" He asked. "Not at the slightest, Master." Nue answered. "Nue-sama..." Maria was shocked to hear those words, but she knew she couldn't let her emotions control her now.

All that mattered was breaking Nue from Madara's control. "This is the last time I'll say this. Release Nue-sama from your jutsu." Maria said. "I don't know you, lady." Nue said, the gun still aimed at the maid. Madara yawned as he refused to do what Maria said.

"I take it if I don't do as you say, you'll fight me, right?" Madara asked. "I will do what I must." Maria answered. "And I won't let you anywhere near my Master." Nue said with a frown. "Looks like she's going to fight." Hashirama said.  

"Then, please allow me to handle Nue-sama." Maria said, her eyes narrowing slightly. "Got it." The Hashirama clone said, giving a nod. 

"Nue... Attack." Madara ordered. Without hesitation, Nue shot at Maria three times. Maria quickly shielded herself until a wooden wall emerged from the ground in front of her, shielding her from the bullets. "Go!" The Hashirama clone said.

"Hai! Leave it to me!" Maria replied before running towards Madara. Nue got in front of him and quickly did a few hand signs. "Water Style: Acid Spit!"

Maria dodged Nue's attack and continued to run forward. "Forgive me, Nue-sama!" Maria said as she took out her katana. She drove the blade into Nue's shoulder, blood spurting out. Nue was unfazed by the attack as she stared straight ahead, then glanced at Maria.

Maria looked up at her, shocked at how Nue was unfazed by the attack; It was like she couldn't even feel it. She quickly took the sword out of her shoulder and leaped back. Nue stared at her and her wound began to heal quickly.

Once it was healed, Nue moved her shoulder around and turned her attention back towards Maria. The maid frowned slightly before running forward again, her attention on Madara. When she made a grab for Madara's throat, Nue kicked her hard in the stomach, sending her flying back. 

Maria skidded back on her feet and looked at Nue as she stayed standing in front of Madara. 'She's preventing me from getting to him. He knows what I'm trying to do, so he's using Nue-sama as his shield' Maria thought.

Due to her thinking, she noticed Nue summon a katana. She cut Maria's cheek, making her gasp and leap back, getting away from Nue. "I need to focus." Maria told herself. She went into her weapon pouch and pulled out the Kiragani Blade.

Maria managed to get her hands on the blade for precautionary measures. "I'm sorry, Nue-sama. This won't kill you, but it will hurt you." She said. Maria ran towards Nue as Nue did the same. She aimed to punch Maria, but the maid was able to dodge her attack and stabbed Nue in the side.

Nue gasped and kicked Maria away before holding her side with one hand while blood ran down her body. "If I could just get a few more hits in, that should be able to slow her down. But I need to move fast before she recovers quickly." Maria muttered to herself.

Using her skills, Maria swiftly attacked Nue again, cutting her body left and right. Because of this, Nue's moves were getting sloppy and she wasn't able to keep up with Maria. Nue panted slightly as her body was covered in cuts from the Kiragani Blade.  

"Kill you... I'll kill you..." Nue panted. She glanced back at Madara to make sure he was safe, then closed her eyes. When she opened them, her eyes had changed from red to purple. Nue let out a roar as she summoned tails behind her, each of them corresponding with the tailed beasts.

"No way... How is she able to do something like that?" Maria said in fear and shock. Madara smirked at Nue's ability as he continued to watch the show.

Before Maria could blink, Nue was quickly in front of her. She punched her in the jaw, sending Maria flying back. "Maria!" The Hashirama clone quickly caught her and skidded on his feet. "Nue, don't you see what you're doing?! Snap out of it!" He called to her.

Nue cracked her neck before breathing out a huge ball of fire towards the two ninjas without preforming any hand signs. "Water Style: Raging Waves!"

Maria's water collided with Nue's fire, creating steam around them. As they were covered, the Hashirama clone created a wooden dome around them. "Are you all right, Maria?" Hashirama asked her. "Yes, I'm fine." She confirmed.

Both of them gasped when wooden dome was destroyed by none other than Nue. She spun her body around and her tails hit the Hashirama clone, sending him away from Maria. Nue grabbed Maria's throat and lifted her in the air, squeezing her throat.

Maria grabbed Nue's wrist with both hands as she gasped for air. She looked at Madara, remembering her objective. "I apologize once again, Nue-sama." Maria said before kicking her body upwards, kicking Nue under her chin.

Nue let go of Maria and grabbed at her face, giving the maid the opportunity to run towards Madara. Before Nue had a chance to try and apprehend Maria, the Hashirama clone got in her way, fighting Nue. Maria looked back and stopped, seeing the clone deal with Nue.

"Hashirama-sama!"

"Go! I can handle her! Just hurry up and get to Madara!"

"Hai!"

Maria ran again, turning her attention back towards Madara as he sat there calmly and quietly. While Nue fought with the Hashirama clone, she glanced at Maria as she was very close to approaching Madara.

"Don't interfere!" Nue said, angrily. Just as Nue was about to run after Maria, her body was restrained by wood, thanks to the Hashirama's clone's jutsu. Nue grunted as she struggled against the wood's hold before smirking to herself.

She created a black gun in her hand and aimed it at Maria. She pulled the trigger and shot Maria in the back of the leg, making Maria gasp and fall to her hands and knees. Madara smirked at Nue's performance as she broke out of the clone's wood restraints.

Before the Hashirama clone had the chance to restrain her again, Nue created a light purple force field around him. Now none of his technqiues will work on her since he's trapped inside the field. Nue walked over to Maria as she was paralyzed from the shot.

"No... I can't give up... I can still do this..." Maria said, weakly as she tried standing to her feet, but Nue shot her in the shoulder, making her fall back down on her knees. Madara noticed this as he watched with a bored look on his face.

"She's like the cockroach that won't die. But I'll admit, she has guts." He mumbled. Maria gripped her shoulder wound as blood trailed down her arm, but she refused to give up. Maria weakly stood to her feet until Nue grabbed a fistful of her hair and ruthlessly threw her to the ground.

Maria's body roughly bounced off the ground, creating a small crater when she made impact. "Maria!" The Hashirama clone called as he slammed his fists against the force field. He wanted to help her, but there was nothing he could do from inside Nue's force field.

Maria grunted slightly as she struggled to stand to her feet, her legs shaking. "It doesn't matter... how many times you knock me down, Nue-sama... I am... I am going to save you..." Maria said. Madara narrowed his eyes at the persistent maid.

"That's enough, Nue. Stand down." He ordered. Madara stood to his feet and walked over to the weak and injured maid. Once he was on front of her, he grabbed her neck and lifted her off the ground. "No, Madara! Don't!" The Hashirama clone yelled.

"You just don't know when to quit, do you? I guess servants like you never learn." Madara said as he held her in the air. Blood trailed down Maria's chin as her head was tilted towards the sky, her hair covering her eyes. "What's the matter? Have nothing to say?" Madara asked.

"Watashi wa..." Madara stared at the maid as she tried to speak. "I... only have one thing to say," Maria quickly grabbed Madara's wrist and looked into his eyes. "It's over, Madara." She said. Madara's eyes widened, realizing he had fallen into a trap.

"Nue!" He called to her. "Master!" Nue quickly ran forward in attempt to save her master, but Maria came prepared as she lunged the Kiragani Blade into Nue's abdomen. Nue cried out in pain and fell to her knees as the blade was still impaled into her stomach.

She grasped the handle of the blade with both hands as she tried to pull the blade out, but the pain was too much for her. While Nue was down, Maria made eye contact with Madara and his eye color matched her. Now he was completely under his control.

"Undo the jutsu on Nue-sama now." Maria commanded. Madara did as she said and let go of her before performing a few hand signs. "Release!"

Nue's eyes seemed to glow for a second until they faded. "What the...?" Nue looked up at Maria as Madara released her throat. "Maria? Where... What am I doing here? Where am I?" Nue asked. "Nue-sama, thank goodness you're back!" Maria cheered.

"What?" Nue looked at her in confusion until she grunted slightly, seeing the Kiragani was still impaled in her stomach. "We have to get you back and have you healed." Maria said as she was by Nue's side. "Go. I'll deal with Madara." The Hashirama clone said.

"Hai." Maria nodded her head to him and picked up Nue, carrying her away to be healed. Once Maria and Nue were far away from the Hashirama clone and Madara, Maria released Madara from her control.

Alternate Ending to Nue being released from Madara's control

"I... only have one thing to say," Maria quickly grabbed Madara's wrist and looked into his eyes. "It's over, Madara." She said. Madara's eyes widened, realizing he had fallen into a trap.

"Nue!" He called to her. She quickly ran forward in attempt to save her master. Nue frowned and quickly ran forwards to save Madara. His eyes appeared red as he was now under Maria's control. "Release Nue from your jutsu now!" Maria quickly ordered Madara.

He released Maria from his grip and performed the hands signs to release Nue. Maria quickly glanced at Nue and noticed she had summoned a scythe in her hand and was quickly behind Maria. "Release!" Madara said.

Maria gasped as Nue jumped up, preparing to swing the scythe down on the maid's head. Scared, Maria quickly shut her eyes and waited for the scythe to pierce her, but she didn't feel anything. She opened her eyes to find Nue on the ground with the tip of the scythe inches from Maria's head

"What...?" Nue straightened herself up and closed her eyes with one hand over her head. The force field around the Hashirama clone dispersed as Nue opened her eyes, looking at Maria. "Maria? What's... going on?" She asked.

She looked down at the scythe in her hand before tossing it aside. "Nue-sama, you're back! Thank goodness!" Maria cheered, hugging her Mistress. "What happened? Where am I?" Nue asked.

Maria smiled at her until she fell forward against Nue's body. "Maria!" Nue quickly caught the exhausted maid. "Take her to the healers! I'll handle Madara!" The Hashirama clone said. "But what's going on? How did I get here?" Nue asked, desperate for answers.

"There's no time to explain, just go!" He said. Without a second thought, Nue picked up Maria's body and ran to where the healers were.
