Chapter 6: Fights and Old Family
The Leaf Village hasn't changed a bit. Everything looked the same to me. Kakashi immediately took me to Tsunade to confirm that I was alive. I frowned as Kakashi pushed me forward so I walked towards Tsunade.
I couldn't kill the bitch because I still had the chakra restraining wrapped around my body. "It's incredible. I didn't think you were alive. The ANBU searched for your body, but they couldn't find it." Tsunade said. I remained silent as I stared at her emotionlessly.
"What's wrong with her, Kakashi? She's not talking." Shizune noticed. "Nue's a bit... mute, at the moment. A friend of hers who worked with her recently died." He explained. "You mean got murdered." I corrected him in a bitter tone.
Tonton stared at me with a frown. I glared at him, then growled as my eyes changed purple. He oinked in fear, making me smirk as my eye color went back to red. "Hey! I heard Nue's alive and she's in the village!" Kiba burst into the room, along with Naruto, Sakura, Squad 8, and 10.
Everyone's eyes were immediately glued to me once they saw me. "I don't understand. How can she be alive? The ANBU couldn't find her body." Shikamaru said. "That's because my body was moved, dumb shit." I said, coldly.
"We thought you were dead." Ino said. "I am dead. Now how long are you going to keep me restrained like I'm some animal?" I demanded. "Are you going to behave?" Kakashi asked. "Depends on how long you keep me tied up like this." I answered.
Kakashi thought about it before taking the ropes off me. "If you were alive this whole time, then why didn't you come back to the Leaf?!" Kiba yelled. I smirked, but it quickly faded as I was in front of him with a kunai knife near his neck.
"To be honest, I don't care if you did miss me. You killed my friend, and I'll never forgive you for that. Not ever." I said with a frown.
"Nue, why are you doing this?" Choji asked. I took out two black guns and aimed them at all the squads. "It's best if you don't ask me that..." I made my way over to the window and opened it. "Otherwise, I'd have to kill you." I said, winking at them.
I jumped out the window, falling towards the ground, then did a front flip, landing in a kneeling position. I quickly stood up and made a run for the gates. I was almost there until I was stopped by Ibiki and some ANBU Black Ops.
"You're not going anywhere, Nue Houjuu Satori. Surrender now." Ibiki said. "Like hell I will." I said, coldly. The ANBU Black Ops charged at me with their weapons; Three of them charged at me from the left and two of them came at me from the right.
I rolled my eyes. "Predictable." I mumbled before killing the three men on the left with my tails; I made my tails drive into their chest once they got close to me. As for the two men on the right, I cut off their heads with my wings.
That was way too easy. Using my speed, I ran towards Ibiki and made a grab for his neck. Ibiki quickly grabbed my arm and twisted it behind my back. I smirked before stomping on his foot and smashing the back of my head into his face. He let go of me and stumbled back while holding his face. I didn't have time to laugh. I need to get out of here. I ran for the gates again, then fell forward when something sharp and heavy pierced my back.
I grunted slightly as I made impact with the ground. I attempted to stand up, but a foot stomped on my shoulder, forcing me back on the ground. I grunted as Ibiki pulled a giant shuriken piece out of my back.
So, that's what pierced me. "Get the hell off me!" I snapped before stabbing his ankle with a kunai knife. He stepped back with a grunt, which gave me the opportunity to get up and punch him in the stomach. I jumped up and kicked him in the face, making him fall to the ground.
The kick was pretty hard. I could've broken his jaw. Damn it, why didn't I break his jaw? Oh, well. Next time then. I turned away from Ibiki as he passed out on the ground and I started to walk towards the gates.
"Nue Houjuu Satori," I let out an angry sigh. "Which asshole is it this time?" I said as I turned around. I got hit in the face by wood, making me tumble on my back.
Hold on. I got hit with wood?
I looked up and glared at a jonin as he stared down at me with a frown.
"Fucking ninja." I said with a smirk. He responded by kicking me in the face, making me black out instantly.
Tsunade's POV
"Are you sure?" I asked Yamato. "Yes, she killed our best men and almost killed Ibiki. She didn't even try to hold back." Yamato explained. I looked through the window of Nue's hospital room as she slept. Yamato knocked her out pretty hard.
Did the Akatsuki brainwash her? Maybe she's under some kind of jutsu? "What should we do, Lady Tsunade?" Shizune asked me. "I'll ask her a few questions when she wakes up. In the meantime, get Kakashi's team prepared for the next mission." I said.
"Yes, ma'am." Yamato said before leaving. I looked back at Nue. "What did they do to you, Nue?" I murmured as she slept.
Nue's POV
I grumbled as I opened my eyes, staring up at some ceiling lights. Fuck, I let my guard down. 'Way to go, you fucking idiot' I thought to myself. I tried to sit up, but something held me down. I looked to my side and saw that my wrists were tied to the sides of the bed with ropes.
Really, Tsunade? -_- Stupid woman. It's gonna take more than that to hold me down. I took out a kunai knife that was hidden in my sleeve and began to cut through the ropes. I was free from my left restraint. All that was left was the right restraint.
I immediately stopped in my tracks when I heard footsteps coming this way. I got back in position as the door was being opened, revealing Tsunade. "What do you want?" I said, coldly. "Nice to see you, too, Nue." Tsunade said, sarcastically, rolling her eyes.
She walked over to me and sat down by me. "Get out." I ordered, bitterly. "I thought you would be happy to see me." Tsunade said. "Well, I'm not. Now, get out." I repeated. "Nue, you need to listen to me. I don't know what Akatsuki's told you. But what they said is false." She said, trying to reason with me.
"I said, get out. I'm not gonna say it again." I said in a much colder voice. "Nue, what's gotten into you? I don't understand why you're acting like this. We're your friends. Whatever Akatsuki's done to you-"
"SHUT UP!!!" I shouted as I kicked her in the chest, making her fall off the bed. She may have had my wrists restrained, but she didn't have my legs restrained. "Lady Tsunade!" Shizune came running in and assisted Tsunade.
I yanked off my right restraint and jumped off the bed before walking over to the door, passing Shizune and Tsunade. I walked out of the hospital, not bothering to cover up my wings and tails. I'm done hiding who I really am. I hate having to hide, period.
I walked around the village for a bit until I stopped near my house. "I wonder..." I trailed off. I wonder if anyone is still living there. No, it's a stupid thought. Iri and Maria probably left the village. I walked away, but was stopped by Kakashi.
"What do you want now?" I demanded. "No need to be harsh, Nue. I just came to see how you're doing." He said. "Why would you care? All you humans care about is yourselves." I said, coldly. "Who told you that?" Kakashi asked.
"No one did. I can see it clear as day." I replied. "Anyway, I heard you killed some ANBU Black Ops today, and without mercy." He said, changing the subject.
"Yeah, so what? I'm sure they wanted to die."
"What makes you say that?"
"Because humans are destined to die sometime. So, I just helped them welcome death."
"You surely have changed."
"If you're done antagonizing me, get lost. I have somewhere to be."
"No, I don't think so. You see, someone very close to you wanted to see you."
I rolled my eyes. "And who would that be? Hinata?" I asked with a frown. "No, your sister." He said. "Sister?" I grunted slightly when I was hugged unexpectedly. "Nue! Thank goodness you're alive!" I know this voice.
I frowned and pushed the person away from me and stared at the face of Iri Satori. She doesn't look like she's changed at all. Well, she did get taller, but she was still into the whole Christmas theme. (see pic above)
"Nue, what's wrong? Are you sick?" She asked as she gently placed the palm of her hand on my forehead. I slapped her hand away and glared at her. "Move on, Iri. Your sister is dead. She has been for three years." I said, coldly.
Iri gasped at my comment and I pushed past her. "Nue, are you there?" Pein was contacting me. I went to my old house and sat on the floor, cross-legged, so I could connect with the Akatsuki. "They're you are, kid. We thought you were dead like Sasori." Kisame said.
"Nope, not dead. Just been taken captive in the Leaf." I answered. "Welcome back. I was beginning to think you were leaving us." Pein said. "I don't feel like small talk, Pein. Can we just get down to business please?" I asked.
"Okay, then. I need you to stay in the Leaf Village a little bit longer." Pein said. "Oh, I see. You're trying to get rid of me, right?" I said calmly, in which Hidan laughed. "Shut up, Hidan." Kakuzu said.
"He's not saying that, Nue. We still need you. We're just trying to get things situated." Konan explained. "What sort of things?" I asked. "Hi, Nue-chan!" A guy with a swirly mask said. "Hello, it's nice to meet you, and you are?" I asked.
"This is Tobi. He's Sasori's replacement, un." I looked to my side. "Deidara?! I didn't know you were still alive!" I said, surprised. "Missed me, kitten, un?" Deidara asked with a slight smirk. "I'd appreciate it if you didn't call me that." I requested, calmly.
I turned my attention back to Pein. "Sir, are you sure Tobi is capable of being an S-rank criminal? I don't mean to sound rude or anything. But Tobi doesn't seem like the criminal type." I said. "Looks can be deceiving, Nue. Tobi is a lot stronger than you think." Pein explained.
"Tobi won't let you down, Leader-sama!" Tobi said, saluting him. "He kind of sounds like a child." I murmured to myself. "Wait in the Leaf until I call for you." Pein said to me. "Yes, sir. Shall I kill my so-called "friends" while I'm here?" I asked. "No. You may do as you please. But do not kill them. They'll pay soon enough. All good things come to those who wait." Pein said.
"I've heard that before," I sighed. "Very well. I shall wait." I said before signing off. I moved my wings and tail around before stretching.
A girl with short black hair, white cat ears on her head, and red eyes stood in front of me as she wore a black off-the-shoulder sweater with black shorts while she was barefoot. She blinked her red eyes at me as she stared at me.
"I don't normally kill animals, but you do look like something that would annoy me." I said out of boredom. "Well, you certainly don't look so happy to see me." She said, emotionlessly. "Do I know you?" I asked. "You, of all people, should recognize me. After all, I was your pet." She said.
I blinked. "Misaki? My cat that the Uchiha gave me as a gift?"
"In the flesh."
"How did you get like this? And why do you look so down?"
"While Maria and Iri were training, Kiyoshi and I traveled to the Hidden Cloud Village and met a witch doctor. Growing tired of being animals, we asked her to turn us into humans. However, there came a price for our humanity." Misaki explained.
"And that was price was taking away your emotions?" I guessed. "Yes." She answered. "Is Kiyoshi emotionless, too?" I asked. "Well, in a way. He barely shows his emotions." Misaki explained. "But in a way, you guys got a good deal out of it." I said.
Misaki shrugged her shoulders. "This witch doctor... What can you tell me about her?" I asked.
"Well... She's a lot older than she looks."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"You'll know when you get to see her, but something tells me, you won't ever get the chance. If you do, however, get the chance, go to the Cloud Village. Here's her card."
Misaki handed me a small white card before walking away. "Where are you going?" I asked. "To look for Kiyoshi. I'm sure he's at his usual spot." She said before leaving the house. I looked at the card she gave me before stuffing it in my pocket.
I stood to my feet and walked to a grassy field. I sighed as I lazily fell on my back on the grass and locked my fingers behind my head.
"It guess there's a few things that's changed in the Leaf." I muttered, referring to Misaki and Kiyoshi. I closed my eyes, falling into a deep sleep.
After a while, I heard footsteps approaching me. "Hey, Nue-chan," I didn't open my eyes since I knew who it was. "Is she sleeping? But it's the middle of the day." Choji said.
"Get lost." I mumbled as I knew they were staring at me. I sighed before siting up and looking at them. "What do you want?" I demanded. "We were just wondering where you were, Nue-chan." Naruto said. "I thought I told you not to add -chan to the end of my name." I said, coldly.
"Man, you sure have changed. But I don't remember you having those weird looking things on your back." Choji said. I frowned at him. "Go to hell." I said. "Did you fall off the wrong side of the bed this morning?" Shikmaru asked.
"Leave now, or I'll kill you." I said, lying back on the ground as I closed my eyes. But they didn't stay closed for long when I felt someone else's presence. "There's someone here," I pointed towards a building from afar. "They're sitting on that building over there. A few meters away from us." I mentioned in a lazy tone.
Suddenly, creatures made of ink started attacking. I stayed where I was casually laid there on the grass. "Nue-chan, look out!" Naruto called. I sighed and used my wings to kill one of the ink creatures. "Now I have to kill him because he attacked me." I said, standing to my feet.
I looked towards the building, where I spotted a ninja sitting on a roof with a paintbrush in his hand. "Stay here!" I ordered the three ninjas that were with me. I ran forward while activating my kekkei genkai.
I was already in a bad mood and this guy was only making it worse. The ninja made more drawings and made them attack me. This guy has no idea who he's dealing with.
