Nue's POV

"First, I have to take care of these guard dogs." I said, glancing at all the samurai. Using my speed, I went past all of them, killing them all with my wings and tails.

"Stop her!"

"She's too fast!"

I smirked as I grabbed a samurai's head and ripped it off their body. I raised the head over my mouth, tasting the blood that ran from the end."Delicious! So very delicious!" I threw the head away, then looked at the Raikage.

"I want more," I took a step forward, slowly approaching the Raikage. "More blood. More power. Give me more!" I shouted before darting towards him. I tackled him to the ground and sat on his stomach. I smashed both of my fist onto his chest, making him cough up blood.

I smirked at his reaction and kept pounding my fist onto his chest. "Lord Raikage!" The sensory type ninja called out in worry. Blood got on my face and clothes as I started punching the Raikage with both hands.

Karin's POV

I'm scared just looking at her. Her chakra level is through the roof. It's also cold and dark. What's happened to her? This... isn't the Nue I know. The Nue I know doesn't normally act like this. What's happened to her? Who is she?

Nue's POV

"You little brat!" The Raikage punched me in the face, sending me flying away from him. I did a backlip and kicked off the wall, dashing towards Sasuke, stopping by his side. I stood on my hands and feet as I smirked at the samurai.

"The fun has just begun." I said as some samurai were still living. I was about to attack until one of them suddenly caught fire. But the flames were black just like when Team Taka and I fought the Eight-Tails. I glanced at Sasuke as I noticed his Mangekyo Sharingan was activated.

'His eye is bleeding. Is that supposed to happen?' I thought as I noticed his Susanoo ribcage was activated as well. "Sasuke, behind you!" I warned. "Lateral Bolt of Pain!" The Raikage was quickly behind Sasuke, getting ready to strike.

I was too slow to protect him as I thought it was over. But I was wrong again when the black flames surrounded the ribcage. "Don't underestimate the Raikage!"

I gasped as the Raikage struck Sasuke, sacrificing his own arm. "Sasuke!" I called as he slid across the ground before coughing up blood. I panicked when the Raikage wasn't done yet as he was about to slam his attack on Sasuke as he was down.

"You're finished now! Guillotine Drop!"

"Inferno Style: Flame Control!"

The black flames surrounded Sasuke's body to prevent the Raikage from striking again. Just when the Raikage was about to clash, sand quickly got in between the two ninjas. "This is...!" I trailed off when I recognized where the sand came from immediately.

While the sand separated the Raikage from Sasuke, I took this opportunity to kick the Raikage away from Sasuke. "Are you okay?" I asked, helping him up. "Gaara of the Sand." Sasuke grunted as I helped him up.

"Reinforcements." I informed him as I felt my power from the Raikage fading. "My time's up already? But it hasn't even been that long. It should've lasted for at least another hour." I said, my eyes changing back to red.

"All you samurai stay back. This is a problem fro the Shinobi World. There is no need to become casualties." Gaara announced. "Why do you interfere, Kazekage? Your answer will determine your punishment." The Raikage mentioned.

"If you had continued with the attack, the black flames would have further injured you. Besides, I wish to speak to Sasuke Uchiha and Nue Houjuu." Gaara explained. "There is nothing we need to talk about." I said, coldly as I pulled Sasuke's arm over my neck and held his waist.

"I have come to realize that making vengeance one's bred of life does not resolve anything. It's not too late for you two. Don't withdraw into your own world obsessed with hatred, or you won't be able to return." Gaara warned.

"So, if I were to return, what is there for me?" Sasuke asked with a smirk. "That same old bullshit, huh? What's next? Are you going to tell me that what I'm doing is wrong?" I taunted. "Nue, wasn't it you who said you were going to make things right?" Temari said.

"I said no such thing." I denied. "Something's not right. Nue's eyes are different than the last time we saw her. It's like... something else is controlling her." Temari said.

"Controlling me? Ha! Don't make me laugh! I know what you guys are trying to do! The moment you fill my head with words, you'll take advantage of me and strike at the right moment! I know how you humans operate, but it's not going to work! Not this time!" I snapped.

"Sasuke, Nue. The three of us are quite alike. We all walked through the darkness of this world.  So your eyes should pick up even the faintest glimmer of light. In the past, or even at this moment." He said

"Don't give me that! You don't know a damn thing! You humans are all the same! All you do is use me, hurt me, take advantage of me! I'm done listening to your words! I'm done being taken advantage of! All of that ends here. Right here... right now." I said as I made my eyes change purple.

"I shut my eyes a long time ago. The things I seek now lie only in the darkness." Sasuke said to Gaara. I narrowed my eyes at Sand ninjas as I heard them talk amongst themselves. "There's no use talking to them, Gaara. There's no path for them now." Kankuro said.

"Hold on a sec, Kankuro." Temari stopped him as she narrowed her eyes at me. "It's not her. That's not Nue." She said. "What are you talking about? It is her." Kankuro argued. "No, it's not! Look at her eyes! It's... something else. Can't you see it?" Temari said.

"Okay. But if that's the case, how do we get her out?"

"We just have to tap into her."

"How?"

"I'm not sure."

Now, it was Gaara's turn to speak. "Nue, if you're still in there, please listen. I know you're still in there. Hear us." He called. "Oh, I'm here all right... AND I'M GONNA RIP YOU APART!!!"

I dashed forward, about to strike, until Gaara's defense interfered. 'He's quick! Faster than he was in the past!' I thought before leaping back over to Sasuke. "His defense is impenetrable. Not even your flames will get to him. Got any bright ideas, Sasuke?" I asked, sarcastically.

As if he didn't hear me, he used his Inferno Style anyway. "You block my Inferno Style well. I'm impressed. Your ultimate defense is in good shape." Sasuke said. "Idiot. I could've told you that." I said, wanting to slap him over the head. 

3rd Person's POV

As the ninjas got ready to attack, Nue began to giggle darkly. "Bring it on. I'll kill you all."  Nue threatened. "You're a liar." 

Nue's adoptive older sister suddenly appeared as a phantom as she wrapped her arms around her. "You won't kill them. I know you, Nue, and I know you won't kill them. This isn't what you want. Snap out of it before you make a mistake." Iri said, softly.

Nue grabbed her head when she heard her sister's soft voice. "What the...? Why...?" Still having hold of her head, she stumbled back, grunting as if her head was in pain. 

"You're a liar." Iri repeated. "Iri..." Nue whispered. Gaara heard her when Nue whispered her sister's name. "Hold your fire! Do not attack!" He ordered his siblings and the other ninja. "What? Why?" Darui demanded.

"Just wait a second. I want to see something." Gaara said as he stared at Nue. Even Sasuke glanced at her when he noticed her odd behavior. "Iri... No, that's impossible! You're dead!" Nue said, placing her hands over her ears as she closed her eyes tightly.

"It's me, Nue. It's okay now. I'm right here. Listen to my voice." Iri said, softly with a smile. "No! I... I...!" Nue trailed off as her body began to shake with confusion, fear, and sadness. "It's not too late to change, Nue. It's not to late to do the right thing. You can still save them. It's never too late." Iri said before disappearing.

Nue's body stopped shaking as she opened her eyes and her hands slipped off her ears. When her eyes landed on Sasori's puppet body, which was now Kankuro's weapon, Nue immediately snapped out of it.

"Sasori!" Her bright purple eyes went back to her original red color. Nue's mind snapped back to reality as she remembered everything and everything that's happened to her. If Madara were here right now, he'd probably be thinking this with anger: "How the hell does she keep getting out of my control?!"

"What's... going on?" Nue placed her fingertips over her head as she was confused of where she was. "Avoid Nue! Fire!" Gaara ordered. Everyone attacked at Sasuke, being sure they avoided Nue. Unfortunately, Sasuke was able block the attack with his Susanoo.

Nue shook her head, then looked at Sasuke as he cracked his neck. His Susanoo attacked and Gaara used his sand to protect his siblings. But Sasuke had other things in mind as he planned to take the whole place down by taking out the pillars.

Nue's POV

I looked over at the samurai as they tried to escape from the crumbling ceiling. "Whoa! What the hell's he doing?!" Suigetsu yelled as he pinned to the wall by a blade with elecrtricity running through it. Doesn't Sasuke care about his comrades?! What if they die because his shit?!

"Suigetsu!" I quickly flew over to him and yanked the blade out of his midsection, letting him fall to the floor. "Nue? You... saved me?" He asked, a bit weakly. "Come on! We've gotta go!" I said. I helped him to his feet as I wrapped his arm over my neck while holding his side.

"Where's Jugo?" Suigetsu asked. I looked around until I spotted him stuck in the wall. I used my chakra threads to peel him off the wall and yanked him over to Suigetsu and I. "This guy's out of his mind." I said as I held Jugo under my arm, holding his waist.

I used the Body Flicker Jutsu to teleport Suigetsu, Jugo, and myself over to Gaara's team. "What now, Nue?" Suigetsu said. I gritted my teeth and closed my eyes tightly while yelling out, "Shield!!!"

I created a huge force field, big enough to protect everyone. Giving it my all, I kept the shield up until the rocks from the ceiling stopped falling down. "Is everyone okay?" I asked everyone. "Yeah, we're fine. Thanks, Nue." Kankuro said.

I disbanded the force field and fell to my knees, exhausted. "You saved us. Thank you, Nue." Jugo said. "It was nothing." I said, panting slightly. "Summoning Jutsu." I summoned Kyo as he appeared before, scratching his ear with his foot.

"Heal Jugo." I ordered. "Right." He went over to Jugo and began to heal his body. "Is that a dog?" Suigetsu asked. "I'm a summoning, not a dog, you faggot!" Kyo snapped as he healed Jugo. "Well, sor-ry." Suigetsu replied, sarcastically. "I don't sense Karin anywhere." I informed.

"Sasuke probably took her with him to catch Danzo." Suigetsu said. "You have to get there before he does. Now!" I ordered the other ninjas. "The rest of you may go. I want to discuss some things with Nue." Gaara said.

I looked at Gaara as his siblings and the rest of the ninja headed off to stop Sasuke. "Gaara, this isn't the time. We have to go." I said. "Nue, there's something I need to tell you. I've been meaning to tell you this for a while." He said.

I stood there patiently as he went on. "Nue... Ever since I met you, you were like my light. I've always looked up to you after everything you've done for me. You were always there for me when I needed you most. You were the only one who could pull me out of the darkness. But the day I found out you were dead, I was once again pulled in. I felt alone... afraid... helpless... But when I saw you in the Sand Village, a wave of happiness flew over my body as if I was being lifted off my feet. You... made me feel that way. You made me feel... happy again." Gaara explained.

"Gaara, I... What are you trying to say?" I asked. "Nue, what I'm trying to say is... I... I love you. I've developed a crush on you the first time we met until my feelings for you grew stronger. I love you, Nue." Gaara confessed.

I blushed as my eyes widened. "You... love me?" I asked. "Yes, I love you." Gaara repeated. I blushed harder when Gaara hugged me. "G-Gaara?" I stuttered. "I love you, Nue." He said again. My eyes softened as I looked at him.

"Gaara, I... I'm sorry, but I... don't feel the same way about you." I said. I gently placed my hands on his shoulders and broke the hug.

"You were my friend, Gaara, and you still are. But somebody... has already stolen my heart. And I can't forget about him because he... means everything to me. He was my light, and I miss him dearly." I said, referring to Deidara.

Gaara looked at me with a bit of hurt and disappointment. "I'm sorry." I apologized. "It doesn't matter." He said. "Come again?" I asked.

"It doesn't matter if you do have feelings for someone else because I still love you, and I will never stop loving you. All I want is to make you happy and I will keep doing what I need to do in order for you to keep that happiness." Gaara said before putting something over my head and around my neck.

I looked down, seeing that he had placed a small hourglass around my neck. "Gaara..." I looked at him with a light blush as he kissed my cheek. "It looks great on you." He said with a smile. I smiled back, softly.

"Thank you, Gaara. I have to go now. When I come back, there's a lot of things I have to tell you. Things involving the person who's beside all this." I said. "I'll be waiting." Gaara said with a smirk. I smirked back, then faced Kyo.

"When you're finished healing Jugo, take him and Suigetsu someplace safe." I ordered him. "What kind of place?" Kyo asked. "I don't care where. Just as long as it's safe." I said before flying off to catch up with Sasuke and Karin.

When I found them, I noticed Sasuke was about to get splashed with lava. I quickly tackled him out of the way so the lava missed him. "Why'd you do that? You let Danzo get away!" Sasuke snapped.

"I was trying to protect you from that! You're welcome, by the way!" I snapped back while pointing at the lava that was slowly oozing in front of the hole I just went through to save his sorry ass.

"Sheesh. I can't believe I'm risking my butt for you," I stood to my feet and looked at the substance that blocked Sasuke's path. "Lava Style. Of course." I said as Sasuke stood to his feet as well. Some lady started saying some flirtatious things, making Karin insult her.

"Lord Tsuchikage, if you're not going to participate, then please, keep your head down." The woman requested while doing some hand signs. "Right, I forgot. This is the Five Kage Summit. This must be the Fifth Mizukage, Mei Terumi." I informed Sasuke.

"My, you're a well-informed little girl." Mei complimented. "I was taught by the best." I mentioned, rolling my right shoulder back. "It's too bad you're with the Akatsuki. I thought the two of us could get along just fine. And I must admit, you're pretty attractive for a girl your age." She said, somewhat pouting.

"Lady, you're barking up the wrong tree." I said. "Idiot! Instead of fighting, tell them about Madara!" Eun said. "Shut up, Eun! I'm busy here!" I shushed her. I quickly grabbed Karin, tackling her to the ground, and shielded her as much as I can when Mei shot her Lava Style technique. 

"Are you okay?" I asked Karin. "Yeah, I'm fine." She responded. I smiled at her in relief, then looked at Mei as she ran out of the room. "Sasuke." I realized as I got to my feet. I stopped abruptly when I spotted Zetsu's body on the floor. "Is he really dead?" Karin asked.

"Can't tell. Watch after him for me. I'm going to help Sasuke." I informed before running out of the room. That was originally my plan until I nearly ran into a wall made of lava. "Shit," I punched the wall, but that didn't do anything.

I summoned my gun and tried shooting at the wall to break its defense, but my bullets got sucked into the wall. "Damn." I cursed under my breath, knowing there was nothing I could do about this lava wall.

I went back inside the room and approached the ninja with the sword. "Hey, you!" I called. "Stay where you are, Akatsuki!" He said, raising his sword at me. I stopped walking towards him and stayed where I was, staring blankly at him.

"If your hands keep shaking like that, your aim will be off." I informed. "My aim?" He repeated. I actually lied about the part of his hands shaking; They were never shaking. I only said that so he would get distracted.

When he looked at his hands, I took out my gun and aimed it at him. The guy flinched as he saw me take out my gun. "Chojuro, was it? I need you to listen to me. If you lower your weapon, I won't shoot you." I said.

He swallowed the lump in his throat and slowly lowered his sword. "What I'm about to tell you is very important, so I'll need you to listen carefully because I will only say this once." I said. A small bead of sweat roll down the side of his head as he gave a nod.

"I am no longer apart of Akatsuki. My name is Nue Houjuu and I have information involving the man who's really pulling the strings here." I said. "Nue Houjuu? The one who escaped from the Leaf Village Prison?" He asked.

"I didn't escape. I was kidnapped. A man named Madara Uchiha took me away because he needs me for some sort of plan. A friend of mine, Megumi Kuro, told me he was working on a project called Tsuki No Me." I explained.

"Project Tsuki No Me? What's that?" Chojuro asked. "I'm not sure. But it's what I need to find out, and I need your help to do it." I said. "Wait, how do I know you're not lying?" Chojuro asked, suspiciously.

"It's the truth, I assure you. This man is going to start a war. You must stop him before he starts that war. Inform your Mistress and the other Kages. Tell them about Madara Uchiha and the war he's starting. You have to hurry before his plan becomes a success." I said.

I gasped when I saw something slowly covering his body. "What?! Hey!" Chojuro tried getting the stuff off, but he was failing. I looked at the other ninjas as they were in the same situation he was in. "Zetsu?" I said, recognizing his chakra. So, this is his doing. But why? What for?

I quickly went over to Karin and covered her head with my arms when the wall that was sealed off suddenly crashed open. "Sasuke! Are you alright?" Karin asked him. "I say, he's fine from the looks of it." I said, unshielded her head.

I quickly grabbed her and jumped over the table as there was a thud behind us. "I feel that the game is getting harder." I said as I held Karin, bridal style while in a kneeling position. I set her down and rose to my feet.

"So, you're the brat that took down Deidara, huh? Well, I have no grudge against you, but many shinobi want you dead. So, goodbye." The Tsuchikage said. "Oh no!" Sasuke doesn't have enough energy to take care of this guy! I have to do something!

"Particle Style: Atomic Dismantling Jutsu!"

"No/Sasuke!" Karin and I said at the same time.

I was too slow to save him as Sasuke got trapped inside the cube the Tsuchikage created and disappeared forever. "Sasuke's chakra is gone. All gone. No, it can't be...! No...!" Karin said in disbelief. "Sasuke... No..." I fell to my knees while staring at the floor with wide eyes.

"I failed. Itachi... I failed to protect him..." I whispered. Now, he could never forgive me. I broke his promise. "Yes, that's right. It's gone because I've disassembled his body to a mere molecular level. And you'll be next, girl." The Tsuchikage said to Karin.

"No," I slowly rose to my feet while aiming my gun at him. "You'll have to get past me first. I won't let you harm her." I said, placing my finger on the trigger. The ninjas that I battled earlier finally got here and started demanding where Sasuke was.

"What took you guys so long?" I asked. "I knew I couldn't trust you, Nue."

My eyes widened in terror. "Uh-oh." I mumbled before turning around. Standing there was none other than Madara Uchiha. But he wasn't alone. Holding over his shoulder, was an unconscious Sasuke. "Sasuke!" Karin said in relief. "No way. He's alive?" I said as I couldn't believe my eyes.

I could've swore he was done for. When did Madara even save him? "Karin, stay behind me." I said, getting in front of her. "My name is Madara Uchiha. I am here to explain something to you all, and once you understand it, I'll ask you a question." Madara informed.

"What is it?" The Raikage asked with a frown. "It's about my plan. Project Tsuki No Me." He said. The Raikage, being the stubborn idiot that he is, lunged at Madara with an attack, but he went right through his body.

I gasped when Madara began to suck Sasuke up through the hole of his eye. "Anything Akatsuki... is bad news and honestly, won't make any sense." The Raikage said. I retreated my gun by my head as Sasuke was gone.

"Return Sasuke right now!" The Raikage commanded. "That will depend on your response to what I'm about to tell you." Madara said. He jumped down in front of me, making me frown and take a step back, protecting him from Karin.

"Go. Heal Sasuke." Madara said. Karin screamed as she got sucked up from Madara's eyehole. "Karin! Bring her back!" I shouted. "You're really becoming a nuisance. I knew I should've done a better job breaking you, you Houjuu scum." Madara said, angrily.

"Damn you!" I went to attack him until he took the Kiragani Blade and stabbed me in the stomach, leaving the knife there. "Argh!" I fell to my knees, gripping the handle of the knife while blood dripped onto the floor. "I'll deal with you with later." He said.

Madara grabbed the handle of the knife and kicked my shoulder while pulling the knife out, making me land on my back. I glanced at him with a glare as he sucked me up as well. "Nue!" I laid on my back as Karin was by my side.

"Hang on! I'll heal you!" She said, rolling up her sleeve. "No," I grabbed her hand, stopping her. "Don't. I'll heal eventually. Just take care of Sasuke." I said. 'Yeah, right. After being stabbed with that blade, I doubt I'll be able to heal myself' I thought.

Karin looked at me with worry. "Karin, I'll be fine. Just take care of Sasuke. Quickly." I said, giving her a reassuring smile. She gave a nod and aided Sasuke. I weakly smiled at them as my body wouldn't heal myself. I guess the Kiragani Blade does more damage than I thought.

I looked around, trying to figure out where we were. It took me a while, but I figured it out. "So, this is what it looks like. Not what I pictured." I mumbled to myself. "Nue, where are we?" Karin asked as she was healing Sasuke.

"We're in his world. Madara's world."
