Chapter 43: Torture Session
3rd Person's POV
The word was quickly spread as villagers talked amongst themselves about Nue's escape from the Leaf Village Prison.
"Hey, did you hear? Nue Houjuu escaped from the prison last night."
"Wow, really?"
"Yeah, can you believe it?"
"I knew we couldn't trust a monster."
"I saw it coming."
"At least she's out of the village."
"I hope she never comes back to the village."
"Yeah. Me, too."
As Naruto was walking by the gossiping villagers, he heard everything. He didn't want to believe it. In fact, he refused to believe it. There's no way Nue would escape like that. He quickly headed over to the prison to find out the truth.
Once he was there, he saw some jonin inside Nue's cell, examining the scene of her escape. "What's going on?" He asked Ibiki, who was also investigating the scene. "We're trying to find out how she was able to escape." He said.
Naruto thought back to when Nue was easily able to slip through the bars of the cell. But she wouldn't really escape. She told him that she would stay in prison until she served her sentence. That way, she would gain the villagers' trust. There's no way she'd violate that.
Something sparkled off the ground, which caught Naruto's eye. He walked inside Nue's cell and picked up the sparking object. "This is Nue's necklace. She's never taken this off. So, why..." Naruto trailed off as he gazed at the necklace.
That's when all the pieces started coming together. "She didn't escape." Naruto mumbled. "What was that?" Ibiki asked. "Nue-chan didn't escape. She couldn't have." Naruto said. "Look," He showed Ibiki the necklace Nue wore.
"This is Nue-chan's necklace. There's no way she'd abandon this." Naruto said. "So, what?" Ibiki asked. "What if Nue-chan didn't escape? What if... What if she was kidnapped?" Naruto asked. "If that's really the case, then who would kidnap her?" Ibiki asked.
And that's when Ibiki figured it out. He remembered Nue mentioning that there was someone else pulling the strings in Akatsuki. What if that someone pulling the strings was the one who kidnapped Nue? But what would they need her for? What did they plan to do with her? What was their plan?
Nue's POV
"Ow... My fucking head." I mumbled as I placed a hand over my head. I gasped when I remember I was taken away. I quickly sat up from whatever I was laying on and out of the room I was in. When I got outside, I was realized I was in the Eastern Hideout of the Akatsuki.
"Why... am I back here? What am I even doing here?" I frowned while gritting my teeth. "Welcome back, kiddo." Kisame greeted from behind. "Where's Tobi?" I demanded, glancing back at him.
"Dunno." He answered. "Don't play dumb!" I snapped. I turned around, grabbing the front of his cloak with both hands. "Tell me where he is! Now!" I ordered. "I'm telling you the truth. I don't know where he is. He just comes and goes." Kisame said as he took my hands off his cloak.
I shoved past him and went back inside the hideout. "When I find that mask-wearing bastard, I'm gonna kill him." I said, coldly. I search the whole damn hideout until I got to the huge training room. Okay, it's actually more of an arena than a room.
"Tobi! Come on out, you bastard! Show yourself!" I shouted throughout the room. "Nue." Kisame said from behind as he stood near the door. "What, Kisame?" I snapped.
"Some girl who claims to be your lover is here, said, she wants to see you." He said. "You know I don't have a lover. Not anymore, anyways." I said. "You're so rude, Nue-kun, and after everything we've been through."
A kunai knife was suddenly thrown at me, so I leaped into the air and clung to the ceiling like a cat. "Nue-kun?" I repeated. Oh, shit. There's only one person I know who calls me by that name. I heard dark giggling until a figure show themselves from the shadows.
"Of course. It had to be you," I let go of the ceiling, landing on my feet. "Megumi Kuro." I said, coldly, with a frown. Megumi smirked at me before giggling again. "It's good to see you, too, Nue-kun." She greeted.
"How are you even alive when I killed you. Looks like I'll have to do it again." I said as I created a fireball in my hand. "We all have our secrets, Nue-kun." Megumi smirked. "Stop calling me that!" I snapped. I threw the fireball at her in which she dodged it while doing a backflip.
Megumi ran towards me while taking out a kunai. "This time, I'm gonna make sure you stay dead!" I said, taking out my gun. "Go ahead and try, bitch!" Megumi challenged. I shot at her and she dodged all my bullets.
"Damn." I mumbled. Megumi swiped me with the kunai knife, trying to cut me, and I did a backflip, dodging her attack. "Wouldn't you two rather just sit down and talk this out? You know what they say: Violence is never the answer." Kisame said.
"Stay out of this!" Megumi and I snapped at him at the same time. When she went to cut me again, I flew up into the air and shot at her. When I did, Megumi caught the bullet in between her sharp teeth.
I frowned at her while she smirked at me before spitting out the bullet. "Guns are useless against me, Nue." Megumi informed. "Yeah, I figured." I replied while making mu guns disappear.
"If you know that, then you should submit to me and be done with it!" Megumi said before charging at me. I lunged at her and pinned her down while her back slid across the floor.
"This time, I'm gonna make sure you never come back from the dead." I said as I created a fireball in my hand. As I was about to burn her face, a chain suddenly wrapped around my wrist. I glanced back at the chain and went to pull it off, but another chain wrapped around my other wrist.
The chains lifted me off Megumi, holding me in the air while Megumi took this opportunity to stand to her feet. "I believe that's enough roughhousing for today." My eyes changed purple with anger as I saw Tobi walking over to me.
"You!" I tried breaking free from the chains, but couldn't. "Let me out of this so I can kick your ass!" I snapped. "You always did have such a foul mouth." He commented in his dark tone. "Why did you kidnap me? What was your purpose? Answer me, dammit!" I yelled.
"The reason why I brought you back here is because we still have work to do." Tobi answered. "What work? It's over! Pein is dead! There's no point in being here when the plan is a failure!" I snapped. "Hmm... Then, let me explain it in a way that you'll maybe understand." He said.

"AAAHHHH!!!"
Pain shot up and down my body as my body was being whipped. Why don't I just break free? Well, I would if my wrists and neck weren't chain to the wall by chakra restraints. I was so weak right now, I couldn't even use my wings and tails to protect myself.
"Like Pein mentioned, you're a stubborn child that needs to be disciplined. He held back because he cared about you and thought of you as his own daughter. But me... I don't hold back." Tobi mentioned. I hung my head in exhaustion before glancing at him with a glare.
"Why don't you just... kill me... instead of torturing me?" I said between pants. "If I were to do that, my plans would be foiled. Besides..." I gritted my teeth from the pain as Tobi whipped me again. "It's way more fun to discipline you this way." He said.
"What sort of plans... do you have in store for me?" I asked while panting lightly.
"You'll have to wait until the end in order to learn that secret, Nue." Tobi said. "I've got two words for you, buddy: Fuck you." I said. Tobi responded by giving me another three lashes to the chest. The whips were painful and every muscle in my body ached.
"This is punishment for leaving the Akatsuki." Tobi said as he continued to whip me. I grunted with each whip that was delivered to my body. "You're... sick." I said.
"Thank you."
"It wasn't a compliment, you douche! Ah!"
My body twitched in pain as Tobi whipped me again. "Watch your tongue, Nue. Or I'll rip it out." He threatened. I glanced at him in exhaustion and rage. "That look in your eye," Tobi stepped forward and grabbed the front of my face.
"You want to kill me so badly, don't you? But you can't because your chained like a dog." He said. "Go and fuck yourself." I replied. My eyes widened with a cough when Tobi punched me in the stomach. "It seems you haven't learn your lesson." Tobi said.
I screamed in pain when Tobi whipped me near my stomach area. "Tell me what you know, Nue. How much have you told them?" Tobi ordered. I wheezed slightly, trying to speak. "Hmm? What was that? I can't hear you." Tobi said as he leaned closer so he could hear me.
I took this opportunity to spit in the eyehole of his mask. Tobi leaned back and looked at me, assuming he was glaring at me. "I'm not... telling you shit... asshole..." I replied with a weak a smirk. Tobi lifted his mask slightly and his hand went underneath it, wiping his eye.
Once he was done, he lightly traced his finger along the open wounds on my chest and stomach. "Your chest and stomach are covered in scars. It appears I've run out of room to punish you." He mentioned. 'Now, I wonder who's fault is that?' I thought, sarcastically.
"However..." Tobi's fingers snapped and the chains released me, making me fall to the cold floor. I couldn't move due to the amount of chakra the chains drained from me. "Your back is clear as day." Tobi mentioned. My eyes widened in terror. He doesn't mean...?
"Place your hands on the wall." Tobi commanded. I didn't move as I remained on the floor. I flinched in fear when I heard the whip crack against the floor. "Do it!" He ordered, nearly shouting. I shakily stood to my feet and place my hands on the wall.
"Why do you need me, anyway? With Pein gone, the Akatsuki is no more. It's over." I said to him while I face the wall. "That's where you're wrong, Nue Houjuu. This is just the beginning." Tobi replied. "The beginning?" I repeated.
What could be the beginning? What is he planning? "Everything is going according to plan, and I don't need you screwing it up for me." He said before grabbing the back of my shirt, yanking it off so my back was exposed.
"Then, why don't you just let me go?" I asked, glancing back at him. A small scream escaped my throat when I felt the whip harshly hit my back.
"Naïve little girl. Do you really think I'm that stupid? I know the moment I let you go, you'll go and tell everyone what I'm up to. And I don't need you spreading rumors." He said. I could feel the blood from my wound slowly trailing down my back.
A small whimper left my lips as Tobi whipped my back countless times. Seconds turned into minutes as minutes turned into hours. When will this torture end? How much longer can I endure this? It feels like an eternity.
"Now..." Tobi grabbed under my face and turned my head so I was looking at him while I panted from exhaustion and the pain. "Tell me what you know. How much have you told them?" He demanded. "Nothing... I told them... nothing..." I said with half-closed eyes.
"Liar!"
"No," I shook my head. "I'm not lying. I didn't tell them anything. Really." I whispered. "Looks like you need another lesson." Tobi said, letting go of my face. "No! Please... don't..." I pleaded, weakly. "Beggars can't be choosers, Nue." Tobi said.
I slouched forward on the wall as I couldn't take anymore. "Don't slouch," Tobi grabbed the back of my hair, yanking my head back so I would stand up straight. "Your punishment isn't over yet." He said. "Ah!"
Tobi lashed my back a couple more times as tears slipped down my face. "Please, Tobi.... No more... It hurts..." I begged. "Tell me what you know." Tobi ordered.
"I... I told them... that Sasuke joined Akatsuki... and you might be pulling the strings behind Akatsuki... But I... didn't give out your name... your real name... Mostly, because I... don't remember your... name..." I said, truthfully.
"Good girl," Tobi ran his fingers threw my hair before wiping a tear away with his thumb. "Now was that so hard?" He asked. "N-No..." I whispered. "No what, Nue?" Tobi said. "N-No... sir..." I corrected myself. "That's a good girl. It seems you have learned your lesson." He mentioned.
I slowly sank to my knees and collapsed on my side, panting lightly. I closed my eyes for a moment until I felt something drape over me. How long did this monster torture me for? It feels like forever. I glanced up at Tobi, seeing that he had thrown his cloak over my body.
"Remember what you've learn here today, Nue Houjuu. Next time, you won't get off so easily, and I promise you, your punishment will be much worst." He warned. "Yes... sir..." I whispered, tiredly. "Hmm." I flinched as Tobi picked up my body.
"Don't worry, child. I'm not going to hurt you anymore. We just need to get you healed up." He explained. I didn't talk back as he carried me to a room and laid me down on the bed. "Sit up." Tobi ordered. I sat up in the bed as I had the cloak was draped over my shoulders.
He took out a small container of healing ointment and began treating my wounds, gently spreading the ointment on my open wounds from the whip. I hissed in pain as the ointment stung. "Take off the cloak so I can get your back." Tobi commanded.
My body shook with slight fear as I removed the cloak from my body. "Lie down." He ordered. I did as he said and lied down on the bed. Tobi proceeded to rub healing ointment on my back as it continued to sting.
"Ow..." I murmured as he pressed his finger on the wound a little roughly. "I'm not pressing down that hard, am I? Then again, what will it matter? You'll heal, anyway." Tobi said. "Yeah, but... I don't heal right away." I explained, quietly.
"Hmm. My mistake." He said, and continued to spread the healing ointment on my back. When he was finished, he put the container away. "Stay here until you're wounds have healed completely." Tobi ordered.
I gave a small nod as I was too tired to speak. I closed my eyes and flinched as Tobi gently petted my hair. When he left, I slowly opened my eyes. I started to sob into my pillow while curling up into a ball.
That experience I just went through... was terrifying. I don't even wanna go through something like that again. "Hey, kid. Are you okay?" Kisame said as he opened the door slightly. "Get out, Kisame. Just leave me alone." I pleaded.
Kisame sighed in guilt before leaving, closing the door behind him. "Itachi... Deidara... I'm scared. I'm really scared..." I whispered as I held Itachi's necklace and Deidara's locket close to my chest. "I... I don't know what to do. Please... Somebody... Help me." I whispered.
I eventually cried myself to sleep. This is a nightmare. I'm living a nightmare. I have to get away from him. From that monster. I closed my eyes tightly while curling up into an even tighter ball, my face buried into the pillow
"I'm scared... I'm scared... I'm scared..." I whispered. "I have to get out of here. I... I have to get home. To my family." I whispered.
