Chapter 19: Here We Go Again

Nue's POV

We finally sealed the Two-Tails after three days. I watched as Yugito Nii fell to the ground and landed with a thud. I really felt bad for the Jinchuriki that we're collecting. But it was all for a good cause. "Now the Two-Tails has been sealed away as well. Only four more to go." Pein said.

Hidan sighed in relief. "Finally." He said. "Let's go to the Leaf. Hidan, Nue." Kakuzu said. "Right." I agreed. "The Leaf?" Deidara asked. "Kakuzu, Hidan. If you're really headed for the Leaf, a word of warning, un. There's a Jinchuriki there named Naruto Uzumaki. Be careful if you run into him, un." Deidara warned.

I remember when Deidara lost his arm and I also remember him telling me he got the crap beat out of him by Naruto. It must've been from the Nine-Tails inside him. "Oh, is that right? So says the little weakling who failed so miserably and had to have his own arm reattached by Kakuzu." Hidan said. I glared at him.

"Shut up, Hidan. " I said, coldly. "Better losing his arm than his head." Kakuzu replied. "You can say that again." I said. "What?! Hey, Kakuzu! Whose side are you on, anyway?! Hey, I thought we were partners! Partners are supposed to-"

"Shut up, Hidan!" Kakuzu and I shouted at the same time, interrupting Hidan. "Let's go." Kakuzu said, and he signed off. "Tch. Nue, you're on my side, right?" Hidan asked. "You wish. Go with Kakuzu. I'll catch up." I said.

"What did I do?" Hidan whined. "Just go, Hidan!" I snapped, and he signed off. I sighed. "Having a hard time dealing with him?" Kisame asked with a chuckle. "You have no idea. I just wish he would keep his big mouth shut for a change." I said as I placed my hand on my head.

"Hang in there a little while longer, kid. He'll shut up eventually." Kisame said. "I certainly hope so." I said before signing off. I opened my eyes and stretched out my wings and tails. I yawned and listened to Hidan as he stretched.

"Three whole days without moving. I'm so ready to rampage." He said before cracking his neck. "I'm in need of a nap." I said, yawning again. "Now, where's that cash cow?" Hidan asked. I looked at Kakuzu as he was walking away.

"Kakuzu?" I asked. "Hmm?" Hidan looked at him. "Hey, Kakuzu, where you going? The collection office is over this way." Hidan said, pointing in the direction of the collection office. "What are you, an idiot?" Kakuzu asked.

"What do you mean by that?" Hidan said as he got out his scythe. "They'll be expecting that. Do you wanna walk right into an ambush? No. This time we'll find a different way into the Leaf. After all, it's the Jinchuriki that we want. Anyway, it's been three days. The one with the bounty on him would have been retrieved by his comrades." Kakuzu explained.

"Yeah, I suppose you're right." Hidan said as he put his scythe behind his back. I looked at the scar on Hidan's neck, narrowing my eyes slightly as the memory of his head getting cut off came into mind. "Hmm? What are you looking at?" Hidan asked me.

"...It's nothing." I said before following Kakuzu. "And another thing." Kakuzu mentioned, turning around to face Hidan. "Hmm?" Hidan gave him a confused look.

Kakuzu reached into his cloak sleeve, trying to search for something. I raised an eyebrow in confusion. "What are you doing?" Hidan asked. He took his hand out of his sleeve, pulling out a headband.

"That scar on your neck is embarrassing. Cover it up." He said, tossing a headband over to Hidan, in which he caught it with one hand. "Hey, look at that. It's my headband. You went to the trouble of picking it up and keeping it for me? I'm touched. You're a pretty nice guy, Kakuzu, you know that?" Hidan cooed.

"Shut up. Come on, let's go." Kakuzu said coldly. "Hey, wait up! Let me put it on at least!" Hidan called as he was trying to tie the headband around his neck. I went behind him and assisted him. "One of these days, you're going to get him really mad, and he's gonna beat you to point you wish you could die." I warned him.

"Aw, you're saying that because you care about me." Hidan said. I frowned and pulled the headband back so I was choking him. "I swear, if you tell Kakuzu about this, I'll cut off your balls and feed them to my summonings." I threatened in a cold tone.

Hidan chuckled, unfazed at the fact I was strangling him. "You do care about me. Now, I'm getting the feeling you have a crush on me." Hidan said. "Ha! As if. I'm way out of your league. Come on." I said as I was finished tying his headband.

"I don't think you are. In fact, I think you're just my type." Hidan said before purring. "Let's just go, Hidan!" I snapped. "Okay, I'm coming." He said as I followed Kakuzu and Hidan followed me. "Come on, admit it. You two like me a little, don't cha?" Hidan asked.

"Either you shut up, or I'll kill you." Kakuzu warned. "You're embarrassed. I understand." Hidan chuckled. I smiled a small smile. I guess it's a little funny how he tries to push Kakuzu's buttons.

"Hey, Nue, I have a question for ya. You're almost seventeen, right? If you could, who would you date in the Akatsuki?" Hidan asked. "Really? We're discussing this now?" I asked. "I'm just curious." He said. I stayed quiet as I thought of Deidara.

Oh, yeah. That's right. Kakuzu and Hidan don't know I'm going out with him. "Hey, anybody in there?" Hidan asked, lightly knocking my head with his knuckles. "And there's the other thing about you. You're always spacing out like that whenever I ask you a question." He mentioned. "Sorry, I was thinking to myself." I said.

As we walked in silence, I saw a hawk following us. Kakuzu noticed it, too, and used his arm to reach out to it. I looked at him in confusion. When the hawk flew away, Kakuzu retracted his hand. "What the hell was that about?" Hidan asked.

"It was nothing. Nothing at all." Kakuzu responded. "Then, what was the point of..." I sighed. "Never mind. Let's keep moving." I said. "Right." Kakuzu agreed as he began walking again. I stayed where I was as I watched the hawk fly away.

"Wonder why he attacked you?" I mumbled. "Nue, let's go." Kakuzu called. "I'm coming." I called back as I caught up with them. We continued to walk forward until I noticed the Shadow Possession was trying to catch us.

"Hidan. Nue." Kakuzu whispered. "We know." Hidan and I whispered back. The three of us jumped out of the away while I was by Hidan's side. I quickly noticed kunai knives with paper bombs attached to them being thrown at us.

"Shit! Paper bombs! Hidan, Kakuzu! Look out!" I called to them. I used my wings and tails to block the attack just as the bombs went off. I jumped away from the smoke, skidding on my feet. "Watch out for the shadows, Nue!" Kakuzu called. "Kakuzu!" Hidan and I called.

I heeded his warning and saw the shadows stretching towards us. "Ha! We won't fall for that trick again!" Hidan said as he also saw the shadows coming towards us. "Hidan, Nue! Above you!" Kakuzu called. We both looked up, spotting more paper bombs.

"Look out!" Kakuzu called. I quickly jumped off the ground, flying into the air. "She can fly?!" Shikamaru said, shocked. I looked at him, then at the knives on the ground. "They didn't detonate." I mumbled. "Of course they didn't detonate. It was a trap." Eun informed.

"Looks like they've been had." I knew she was looking at Kakuzu and Hidan. Both of them were caught inside the Shadow Possession Jutsu. Shikamaru jumped tot he ground and glanced back at my trapped comrades.

"Shadow Possession Shuriken Jutsu. Achieved." He said. "Little jerk. How did you do it when I dodged your shadow?" Hidan demanded.

"What I threw at you were chakra blades. Not only do they absorb the chakra nature of whoever wields them, they compliment and oddment his jutsu." Shikamaru explained. "What the hell is this kid talking about, Kakuzu?" Hidan said, glancing over at him.

"Will you shut up, you idiot?!" Kakuzu said. "In short, having absorbed the user's chakra, the chakra blades become an extension of his jutsu. So, you see? I wasn't trying to hit you. I was aiming for your shadows the whole time. It's Asuma's gift to you. A little memento of the man you killed." Shikamaru finished.

"Not a bad trick." I commented. "The one worth $35 million, huh?" Kakuzu said. Oh, I get it. So this whole thing from the beginning was a distraction. The brat's gotten smarter, I'll give him that. "All right, then. It's time to finish this." Shikamaru announced.

"Hey! What's wrong with you?! Why you so quiet all of a sudden?! What the hell were you thinking, letting yourself get caught like that, too, huh?! Hey, you know what I think?! Things aren't looking too good for us! That's what I think!" Hidan shouted.

"Yeah, you're right. As a matter of fact, by my calculations, it's all over for you two. Right now." Shikamaru said, doing a certain hand sign that I recognize. "I know you didn't forget about me, Shikamaru." I said.

I raised both of my hands in the air, making a huge fireball. "Oh no, you don't! Ino, now!" Shikamaru called. They're here, too?! Shit!

Suddenly, I felt Ino trying to take over my body. "Eun... I need you." I said, quickly before falling victim to Ino's trap. "Just leave it to me." She replied.

Eun's POV

"Sorry, Ino. But I'm not letting you take control off her. That's my job." I said, smirking. I quickly grabbed her throat, choking her. "Ack! Nue... Stop..." Ino grunted as her hands wrapped around my wrists. "I'll let you in on a little secret, sweetheart. I'm not Nue." I said as I squeezed her throat tighter.

I used my tail and struck her through the chest. She gasped and instantly broke the Mind Transfer Jutsu. I smirked. "The only one who's going to control her... is me. Soon, I'll have full control of her, and then... It'll be my turn to have some fun. Just you wait, Leaf Village scum." I said, chuckling to myself.

Nue's POV

I opened my eyes as I found myself lying on the ground. I must've fallen to the ground when Ino had me in her Mind Transfer Jutsu. "All right, you're back in control again. You're welcome, by the way." Eun said from inside my mind. "Yeah, thanks." I replied, sitting up.

I placed my hand over my forehead and shook my head, trying to snap out of it. I looked over, seeing Hidan swinging his scythe left and right, trying to hit Kakuzu. "I can't control my body! Do something, Kakuzu! Do something!" Hidan yelled as Kakuzu tried getting away from him.

When Kakuzu backed up into a tree, I vanished towards him, getting in front of him. "Spiking Human Boulder!" I heard Choji yell. I looked towards the sky, seeing Choji about to attack us. I quickly made my eyes change purple and created a purple, force field.

Choji bounced off my shield and landed near Shikamaru. "Damn. It's just one surprise after the other with her." Shikamaru said. I glared at them with my glowing, purple eyes as I slowly made my shield fade away. "Kakuzu, are you aright?" I asked.

"I'm fine. That's a handy trick you got there. But you didn't have to do that. I could've just hardened my skin." He mentioned. "Right, I forgot physical attacks don't work on you." I replied, glancing back at him.

"So, what else, Nue? Any other surprises you have in store for us?" Shikamaru asked with a frown. I vanished in front of him, our noses nearly touching. "I have many surprises in store for you, Shikamaru." I said before smirking.

I roughly punched the top of his head, his face smashing into the ground. My foot rammed into his face and he tumbled a few feet away. "Shikamaru!" Choji shouted out of worry. I grabbed his throat and threw him over Shikamaru.

"All right! Way to go, Nue!" Hidan cheered. "If you know what's good for you, you'll be wise ninjas and stay down." I said, coldly. I turned away from them and began to walk back over to Kakuzu. I stopped in my tracks as I heard them getting back up.

"You've got to be kidding me. I told you to stay down." I said, annoyed. "You jerk." Shikamaru said as he stood up. "Asuma's gone because of people like you!" He said. "Shikamaru, what are you doing?" Choji asked, getting worried I would attack again.

I cracked my neck as I closed my eyes with a frown. "Okay," I turned around and ran at them. "Now, I'm really pissed off!" I snapped. "Nue, stop!" Kakuzu ordered, but I ignored him. "Dammit, I said, stop!"

I went to punch Shikamaru until Kakuzu's hand grabbed my wrist, yanking me back towards him. "What was that for, Kakuzu?! I had him!" I said. "You would've gotten yourself caught." He said. "Huh?" I raised a brow at him and noticed a shadow stretching towards me.

"Ah, now I get it. He was trying to bait me so I would go after him, waiting for the right moment to strike. Once I would get close enough to him, he'd trap me in his shadow. I guess I underestimated him. Good thing you caught me, Kakuzu." I said.

I looked over at Hidan as he began to laugh. "Be afraid. Be afraid, you ignorant heathens!" Hidan said to Shikamaru and Choji. "Kakuzu! Enough chit-chat! Let's counterattack!" Hidan called. "Damn, you're loud." I mentioned.

"Come on, hurry! Undo this idiotic jutsu already!" Hidan said, impatiently. "Right." Kakuzu agreed. I heard him gasp like he was hurt. Hidan and I looked at him and gasped in shock as a lightning technique was driven through Kakuzu's heart.

"No way." I murmured. "But how? I didn't even sense your approach." Kakuzu grunted. "Sorry about that." The person behind Kakuzu said. "There's only two people I know that can perform that jutsu. One of them is Sasuke Uchiha. And the other... is you, Kakashi Hatake." I said.

"Hey! What the hell is going on?! What's all that crap about physical attacks being useless against you?" Hidan whined. "Yeah. How'd you get behind the guy, Kakashi-sensei?" Shikamaru asked.

"Easy. From the signs that Kakuzu performed, his technique was Earth Style. Kakashi was able to read your sign so quickly. Plus, Earth Style is weak against Lightning Style. This is not your lucky day, Kakuzu." I explained.

"Are you saying you knew he was here the whole time, Nue? Why didn't you tell me?" Kakuzu demanded. "You're an S-rank criminal. You should've figured it out sooner. It's Kakashi of the Sharingan." I said, emotionlessly.

"Why, you... little brat!" Kakuzu grunted. I rolled my eyes at his comment and looked over at Shikamaru as his shadow was having a hard time holding Hidan's shadow. I knew he was at his limit. Kakuzu grunted before falling to his knees and Kakashi took his hand out of Kakuzu's body.

I watched emotionlessly as he fell face first into the ground. "Sucker punch to the heart, huh?! You're through?! I can't believe it! Just like that?! Man!" Hidan whined. "Shut up, Hidan." I said, frowning. "That's right, and you're next." Kakashi said as he started Chidori again.

Hidan still can't move. So, what now? "Nue! Hurry up and do something!" Hidan called. Kakashi charged at him with his Chidori. I quickly got in front of Hidan, hoping Kakashi would hit me.

But I was dead wrong when Kakuzu kicked him hard in the stomach, sending him through a tree. Hidan lightly chuckled, impressed that Kakuzu saved his ass. "And after all that tough talk of yours. Well, look who's done for now, huh?" Hidan said to Kakashi.

Kakashi coughed as he stood up. "Nue, I'm not done with you yet. When this is over, I'm going to make you pay for that little stunt." Kakuzu said. "What, because I let Kakashi strike you? Yeah, whatever. The Leader's threats are more scarier than yours." I admitted.

"Come on, Kakuzu. I'm sure Nue was just trying to have a little fun." Hidan defended me. "Regardless, she should know her place." Kakuzu said. "Yeah, yeah." I said, yawning. "Well, all right. Let's get this over with, shall we?" Hidan said. "That's the plan." Kakuzu replied.

He unbuttoned his cloak and threw it in the air. What the heck is on his back? Masks? Whatever it was, something inside him was trying to get out. I looked down at the shadow that was holding Hidan as it let go of him. and saw it letting go of Hidan.

"Damn. My Shadow Possessions' had it." Shikamaru said as the shadow retreated. Kakuzu grunted as the something that was trying to escape his back finally emerged. They looked like black creatures with masks on them.

"Whoa! Shikamaru, what are those things and why... why isn't he dead after that shot he took from the Lightning Blade?" Choji said. "Who knows? After going head-to-head with these guys, there's nothing that'll surprise me anymore." Shikamaru said as he wiped sweat off his forehead.

"Ah... There, that's more like it. I can finally move again." Hidan said. "And now that you're free..." I said. I did some hand signs before slamming my hands on the ground. Smoke filled the air before my summoning appeared.

"Let's have some fun." I said, smirking. "Whoa, what the hell is this? Some kind of pet of yours, Nue?" Hidan asked. "He's a summoning, Hidan. Not a pet." I corrected him. I climbed on top of my summoning and smoothed out his tiger skin.

"Now, then. Shall we let the slaughter begin?" Hidan asked. "Oh, yes." Kakuzu answered. "Ready whenever you guys are." I said.
