Luna wake up the next morning on September 1st. Today was her first day at Hogwarts, and she was going to start it of with a bang.

She went to her closet and pulled out her light blue jeans, blue and silver flower blouse, and a pair of silver flats. She also wore her family crest necklace that had a silver fox dangling from it.

When she was finally finished getting dressed Luna pulled her trunk down stairs, and also her cat named Stormtail. She named him after his tail, which had many grays. The rest of his body was pure black.

Luna called to her Mom and Dad, "Mum, dad, are you ready to go?"

There was a shuffle and then a thud as her dad came down the stairs, "Your mom is really sick right now, I will be taking you there alone. I am sorry." He said with worry in his tone, but mostly happy.

Luna looked up the stair. "Ok, but let me say goodbye to mum." she said as she made her way up the stairs.

Her father nodded. She finally got to Mara's room which was all the way at the top of a tower. Her mother was a Veela, so she liked height's.

"Mum? Are you doing any better, and I am sorry you could not see me off." Luna said to her mother.

Mara got to a sitting position and said, "Yes I am doing better, but why are you sorry. I am the one sick. So I'm sorry, but I know you will do fine." When she finished speaking, her mum laid back down.

Luna felt so bad for her mum, she had never gotten this sick. "It's fine mum, you just lie down. I will make friends and do well in school. I promise." Luna said as she went to the door, "Goodbye, mum. I will see you soon."

"Goodbye my little moonfox, Have fun." Mara said to her daughter not knowing what was in store for Luna.

Luna walked down stair's and grabbed her father's arm as they apparated out of the house and into station 9 3/4. "Dad, mum will be ok right?" Luna asked as they were walking into the station.

"Of course she will, she is tough. Now get on the train before I start crying. You are growing up to soon." Her father said pulling her into a tight embrace.

"Ok dad, Goodbye. And I can't always stay little forever. I'm sorry." Luna said with a smile and ran to find an empty compartment.

Luna looked around for what seemed ages until she found one. A girl with flaming red hair was sitting in there, she also had bright green eyes. Luna puled her trunk in and said "Hello, I am Luna Whiteblood. Can I please sit here?"

The girl looked up from the book she was holding. "Yes, of course. And I am Ginny Weasley. Nice to meet you" Ginny said pointing to the empty seat across from her.

Luna smiled and asked "Thank you, is this your first year?"

"Yes it is, I guess we will both be in the same dorm if we are placed in the same house." Ginny said brightly.

"Yes I do hope, What house would you like to be in. I think Griffendor would suite me" Luna said.

Ginny smiled at this, "All my bother's are placed into Griffendor. I will probably go there to. I can't wait for the year to begin!"

The train ride went by really fast, and Luna had so much fun. Ginny and her we becoming good friends by the end of it.
