-Flashback-

It was New Years and we were having a party at my grand mothers. Everything was perfect! We were singing and dancing, but I began feeling sleepy. I'm only 4 years old so it's pretty late past my bed time, my eyes grew heavy and eventually shut. Mama shook me gently, to try to wake me up.

"Come on sweetie, it's time to go" I rose up form my seat lazily, my legs numb from sitting down too long. I would occasionally fall now and then but my Mama would be there to support me. I noticed from the corner of my eye, Papa was there dancing very sloppily and tiredly.

We reached the door and Mama called over Papa. He trailed behind us slowly until he reached the fresh air, it seemed as if he had a burst of energy. He was leaping about very excitedly. We reached the end of the road and was about to cross. Our house just across the road, Papa was just crossing when a bright light came into sight. Mama told me to stay on the path as she went to push Papa out of the way.

A loud bang could be heard, people about a mile away could have heard it. Everything seemed to go in slow motion, I couldn't see much because the light was so bright but I couldn't help tears from falling. I knew what happened and it wasn't pretty.

A tall women walked up to me, and I heard several other doors close after her, that was probably her family. The thought of her family made more tears fall as I realised the other family I have was my parents and their gone.
My grandparents are too old to look after a young child.

"Are you ok?" The lady asked. I sniffled and nodded my head. The lights dimmed and I could see my parents lying there.

My world felt like it was ending. I had no home, no family and no one to give love too or to receive love from but little did I know that this was a start to A New Beginning.
