"Rainclan is attacking" Briarpaw suddenly heard her littermate yowl. "Briarpaw, Sparkpaw, Flameleaf, Lilycloud, Greysplash, Dovepaw, and Whitepaw lets go."Sunstar yowled. Briarpaw felt the energy ready for battle as she ran through the barrier with her clan mates. This was her first battle, and she would show Rainclan to never mess with her brother! The first cat she met was a dark red tom, with dark green eyes, she recognized him from the gathering, Pinepaw was his name. First she gave him a slash to the nose and nocked his hind legs from under him. But he reacted quickly and dogged her, and gave her a cuff to the ear that sent her flying. She suddenly saw Sparkpaw pinned to the ground, and struggling. Also a small unmoving shape with ginger, and white fur. Wait it was  Flameleaf he was dead her sisters mentor dead?!

"We will need to sit vigil for our fallen warrior." spoke Sunstar. The news surprised the clan that Flameleaf was dead. "One of the clans best warriors," Briarpaw heard her sister Sparkpaw murmur. "Let her mourn it will take time" said a voice behind her. It was Sparrowstep, he had just come out of the medicine den, with some poultices on his wound. Now he was going to visit his kit Skykit before vigil.
