Briarblaze was cold, but determined to stay quiet. Then Greysplash walked over to the two she-cats, and said, "you can go get some prey and then go to your new nest to sleep. I want you both for dusk patrol."
"Okay." They replied slowly their eyes blurry with tiredness.
Briarblaze grabbed a thrush for herself and Skypaw, she would miss him in the warriors den. He was going out on dawn patrol with Stormtail, Seaflash, and Sparrowstep soon. "He will probably be hungry." She thought as she trotted over to where he was standing.
"Hi!" Briarblaze called.
"Hi." He replied.
"Do you want to share?" She asked.
"Why not!" He meowed.
She settled down next to Skypaw and they took turns eating before he had to go out on patrol.
"See you when you get back!" Briarblaze yowled to him as she walked into the warriors den. It was warm and cozy inside the den she was so tired she could sleep for a moon. Sparkleaf was sleeping next to Dovesplash so Briarblaze went to her nest and let sleep overcome her.

When she awoke again it was sunhigh, and Skypaw was back. He was practicing with his mentor, who was also her dad Stormtail. Stormtail was teaching Skypaw how to hunt birds. Briarblaze went over to lay down in the sun, and watch them practice. She thought about how she, and her former mentor Lilycloud had done that. Briarblaze remembered having her front paw way to far out, and the other way to far in. She purred with amusement as Skypaw had trouble tucking his back paws in. Her father looked like a big badger compared to the small grey apprentice. Briarblaze could now just roam the forest whenever she needed it maybe with Skypaw too. Tonight was going to be her first gathering as a warrior, but there might be some tension between her clan, and Rainclan.
