Lakepaw's tail drooped he was exhausted from treating wounds. But he knew that his litter mates warrior ceremony was going to be held soon. When Icestorm came rushing over, "Were there any major injuries?" She asked worried. "Nope." He replied happily. "Good." She finished. He walked over to the medicine cat den to put the leftover herbs away. "Let all cats old enough to catch prey gather here to hear my words." Sunstar yowled. Lakepaw trotted out of the den trying to be happy for his sisters. But he couldn't help wanting to be getting his name with them. "Sparkpaw and Briarpaw," Sunstar started. "You have shown great courage in the battle today. So I will make you a warrior in return. Do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and protect and defend the warrior code even at the cost of your life?"
"I do." They replied together.
"Then by the powers of Starclan I give you your warrior name, Sparkpaw from this day forward you will be known as Sparkleaf. For your former mentor Flameleaf who taught you most of your skills. Briarpaw from this day forward you will be Briarblaze. Starclan honors your courage and loyalty, and I welcome you both as full members of Roseclan." Sunstar yowled.
"Sparkleaf! Briarblaze!" The clan chanted. Lakepaw walked up to the two new warriors, and called them by their new name. "He should be happy shouldn't he?" Lakepaw thought. He was too tired to think any more about it. He was just happy that he didn't have to sit out on this windy leaf-fall night. Lakepaw sighed as he lay down in his nest, and waited for sleep to come.
