It was a beautiful sunny mid-afternoon in the Unova Region in a place called Tempest City, a beautiful city in the Southwest of Unova not far from Aspertia City. It was home to many attractions being, including the Evolution stone shop and a Psychic-type gym, one of the most challenging dreams that pokemon trainers can face here in the Unova region once they can officially begin their Pokemon journey. However, the gym now contains a sign saying closed.

This city was the home of a fifteen-year-old teenage boy named Liam Crystal, who was walking home from the park after waving bye to his best friend.

Liam is a slightly pale young man who has a growing six-pack. He has long, bright teal hair that stops at his upper back and pale blue eyes. He was wearing a long red sleeve shirt with blue flames on it with, grey pants with ripes in them, and green and white tennis shoes. He was wearing a black backpack with red flames on them. He had a blue-green grass snake Pokemon on his shoulder. This Pokemon was his Pokemon partner Ivy the shiny Snviy.

"Come on, Ivy, we better get home," He said, looking up at Ivy on his shoulder.

"Snivy," Ivy said in agreement.

"Hilda and Hibert are probably eager to see you since we've been gone since 7:15 in the morning," Liam replied as he walked passed the stone shop on his way home.

Ivy nodded in agreement as she got more comfortable on Liam's shoulder as they continued the rest of the walk-in silence.

After a fifteen-minute walk from the park, Liam and Ivy had made it to a large blue house with a black roof and opened the front door as he walked on inside, taking his shoes off.

"Hey everyone, we're home!" Liam called out, closing the door behind him.

He then heard rushing footsteps as two six-year-old brown hair kids tackled him giving him double hugs and nearly knocking him to the ground.

"Goodness, Hilda and Hilbert, calm down. It's not like I have been gone for years," He said, laughing at their actions.

"Sorry big brother," Hilda said.

"Yeah, we just missed seeing you," Hilbert said, looking up at his big brother with his large brown eyes.

"It alright while don't play with Ivy while I take my bag upstairs," Liam said as Ivy got fn from his shoulder.

"Yay!" The twins cheered happily, running off to play in the living room.

'Those two have a lot of energy.' He thought, chuckling at their behavior as he headed upstairs to put his bag in his room.

Liam walked into his room, tossed his bag on a white desk, and headed to the bathroom to clean up after hanging out with his childhood best friend, Hector.

'A nice refreshing shower sounds good right now after playing a good game of Soccer with a few of our other school friends after school today.' He thought, walking into his bathroom and grabbing a pair of clothes to change into.

After a nice warm shower sixteen minutes later, Liam returned to the bathroom dressed in a black short-sleeved shirt with knee-length red shorts.

"That was a refreshing shower," He said softly, getting on his bed and lying down on his bag as he heard the door creak slightly.

He then glanced over and saw Ivy walking into the room and using her Vine whip to get up in the large bed with Zorua sheets on it.

"Ivy, hey there, why don't you join me in a nap after a fun sports game? You're pretty a decent Soccer player for a Pokemon," He said, smiling at Ivy as she curled up against his arm.

"Snviy," Ivy said, yawning.

Liam chuckled as he smiled at her as he started closing his eyes and falling on off to sleep pulling Ivy closer to his chest.

As hours went by while Liam sleeping, the sun began to set, signaling that he had been asleep for hours as evening was now here as he was woken up by someone shaking him.

Liam yawned as he opened his eyes to see a tall, cream-skinned skin muscular man with short spiky brown hair and brownish-red eyes. He was wearing a tight leather shirt and red pants.

"Emerald, aren't you too old to be taking naps," The nan said, chuckling at the young boy in bed rubbing his eyes.

"Ah, Father, you are never too old for naps," Liam said.

"Sure thing Emerald. Now get up. Your mother is almost done with dinner," His father said, smiling

"Alright, I will be right down after using the bathroom."

"Then I see you and Ivy downstairs at dinner in a few," His father said, walking towards the door and getting ready to leave the room.

Liam yawned as he shook Ivy awake before heading on to the bathroom.

"It's time to eat dinner. We head on down after using the bathroom."

"Snivy," Ivy said, getting down from the bed, ready to go as soon as Liam exited the bathroom.

"Hey, guys," Liam greeted as he entered the kitchen to see his father and siblings at the red kitchen table.

"How was your nap?" A tall, fair skin slim, and fit woman with long spiky green hair and teal eyes said. She was wearing a black long-sleeved tight shirt showing her stomach slightly and tight black and yellow pants with a hint of gray. This was Kristina or Krystal, a formerly well-known champion in Jhoto until she became a mother and took a different career.

"Great, Mother, so what's for dinner?" Liam asked.

"Spaghetti and breadsticks," Kris replied, placing a plate on the table hn an empty spot next to the twins.

"Where, Ivy?"She asked, grabbing a white bowl and filling it with Pokemon food and berries.

"She is coming down soon," He said, sitting down.

The next second, Ivy came down the stairs and ran over, and sat on the ground next to the chair Liam was in.

"She loves being you a lot," His father said, laughing.

"Yeah, I love being with her too, especially when I got her back as my Pokemon," Liam said, smiling down at Ivy as she happily used Vine Whip to grab the bowl.

"I know it was hard with the new law that was made back when you turned eleven that you can't be an official trainer without a proper education but in eighth grade, everyone got their starters back. We got their first Pokemon if they were kids who couldn't go on a journey before the law was made," His father said.

"Yeah, not a fan of the new law, but I get it too many kids were getting hurt being reckless, thanking they could stop members of criminal organizations, " Liam commented.

"With you, we didn't have to worry about that. You were always sharp for your age Emerald."

Liam shook his head at his father at the name Emerald, and the rest of dinner was in silence until his mom spoke up.

"I have something to tell you three," Kris said.

"What, momma?" The twins asked.

"Yeah, what is it?"Liam asked.

"I must tell you we are moving from Tempest City," Kris said.

"What..." Liam said, shocked, nearly choosing I his food until Ivy headed him a glass of water.

"Thanks, Ivy."

"Were we going, momma?" Hilda asked.

"To Viridian City in the Kanto Region," Kris replied.

"When are we leaving?" Liam asked curiously.

"We leave the day after tomorrow in the morning."

"So I have a full day to say bye to my friends," Liam said.

"I get Hilda and Hibert don't have any objections being six but Liam, you're okay with this?" Kris asked.

"Mother, I'm not some little kid who is going to complain; sure, moving and starting a new school is not fun, but it happens," He stated."For any reason, we are moving to Kanto?" He asked.

"Yeah, I will be running a brand new Pokemon Daycare there," Kris said.

"That's right, and I will be the new Psychic gym leader in Aura City, which isn't too far from Viridian City and Pewter City. So me and my pokemon and the ones I have been watching for you will be coming with us. The house has pretty room for your Pokemon from your first journey to roam in the yard since the house is right near the daycare," His father explained.

"That's great, so I can still see them, but won't it be hard coming hom to see us being in a different city?"

"Hey, with the new law, there are not as many trainers since most of the older adults already have careers, so I won't be as busy now. You have to be 18 and have graduated high school doesn't mean I won't have challenges, but either way, it won't be a problem, Emerald."

"Right, so does this school have anything different from my current one?"

"Not really, a couple of after activities like your old school, the same, and a few different ones like Pokemon performances. It's like theatre but with your Pokemon putting on shows with you, "Kris explained.

"Sounds interesting, so like every sophomore, we can carry up to four Pokemon with us to school to use in the Double Battle classes. We started learning about this year?"

"That right. As for the twins here, they are going to Pallet Town Elementary it, a small town where Professor Oak lives and once gave out starter Pokemon to beginning trainers before the new law was now, but now he hands a few to the school at Viridian City High for eighth graders, unlike your old school starting in 6th grade to 12th grade. This school starts in 8th grade."

"Alright, sounds good. At least it is not too different will miss my friends but can't be helped," Liam said, standing up and putting his plate in the sink and head on upstairs with Ivy to get a good night's sleep after watching a bit of Tv.

This is the first chapter of A New Beginning. Liam had just found out he was moving and going to start going to a new school. This is the rewrite of the old version of Viraidan City High, as you can already see many differences in the old version. I hope you enjoy reading it.

Also in the future, I will make a book where they go on a journey after finishing school.
