~(Red's P.O.V)~

It was a few weeks after the wedding, everything had been going perfect! My family came over last week to visit us, and they were all so happy for me and Barney. They left yesterday, so now we had the week to ourselves. We had done a lot of recordings in the weeks before so we could spend a little time off together.

Now, Barney and I had been thinking about this now for a long time, even before the wedding and all of that. We had been thinking about getting a puppy!

You know, since we can't have a child together naturally, we decided getting a dog would be the best thing for us. We did think about adopting a kid, but we didn't want to do that.

So, today was the day that we were going to the dog shelter to chose the lucky puppy that was going to come home with us!

We had already bought the food and water bowls and pet toys and stuff, basically everything we needed we had, apart from the puppy of course.

"You excited?" I asked as we both got in the car.
"Heck yeah! I've been looking forward to this since we talked about it!" Barney replied.
"Me too!" I said and gave him a small kiss.

He started the car and we drove to the animal shelter. It didn't take that long, but it felt like ages, I was still so excited though.

He parked the car outside and we got out. I took his hand in mine as we headed inside. The place was filled with sounds of dog barks and many excited small children. But I think we were more excited than them, and I'm not joking.

We looked at every single dog in there, and it was pretty obvious me and Barney had both fell in love with a small white husky, it was so cute!

"So, is this the one?" Barney asked.
"Oh definitely!!" I said and smiled.

We asked the people at the shelter for dog we wanted, they made us fill out some forms and other stuff, then we were free to go.

The small husky was a little girl, so we had to think of names!
"What you thinking for names?" I asked Barney as we got in the car.
"I really like the name Shadow, but that's kinda taken by Shelby.." He said to me.
"Yeah.. Hmm.. What about Flo?" I asked.
(it's pronounced like flow, just spelled different, and yes yourpaljess I couldn't think of a name)
"Yeah! That's a cool name! Unique!" Barney said and smiled.
"So that's settled!" I said happily.
I turned back to check on Flo, but I only found her fast asleep on the back seat.

When we got home, Barney took all the stuff inside and I carried Flo in my arms. I carefully lay her on the couch, she seemed comfy of all of our cushions.

I walked over to Barney, he was just putting all the dog things where they should go.
I hugged him tight,
"I love you, Barney," I said to him.
"I love you too Red,"

This was another giant step in my perfect life, and again, I'm already loving it. I was looking forward to the rest of my life with Barney! I was looking forward to making more YouTube videos together with him, and I was looking forward to cuddling up in the couch with Barney and our new puppy Flo. I was looking forward to growing old together, I was looking forward to everything in our future..
