Klaus's POV

I can't believe I need to fake that I am best friend of Damon, why does this guy hates Stefan but doesn't hate Damon? The only good thing about this guy is the fact I can be with Caroline and I can use accent.

I went to Salvatore's boarding house and saw Damon drinking a bottle of bourbon.

"Hello mate. I heard that you were looking for me..."

"Hello Enzo. I just needed to talk to someone."

"I am here now..." I said trying to seem nice.

"I can't believe Elena drink the stupid cure..."

"What?"

How did Elena drink the cure? There was just one dose of the cure and was used on Katerina.

"I told you... We found another dose of the cure and Elena decided to drink it, and now Bon-Bon decided to link her life to Elena's, so Elena is sleeping and not aging and the day where Bonnie dies, Elena will awake with same age but will start aging..."

What? I can't believe Caroline didn't told me any of this. Wait, this means the doppelganger is human again... No, Klaus what are you thinking? Caroline will hate you for the rest of her existence if you did something to the doppelganger...

"Are you okay?" I asked trying to fake sympathy.

"No, but at least I have my bourbon." Damon said with a weak smile then it vanishes "I just... I really loved her. When I finally was happy this happens. I am sorry for what I did to Maggie James..."

"It's okay, mate."

"If wasn't your friendship I didn't know what would be of me." He said and I just drink the bourbon.

"You know what? I am tired of this, I need distraction. Talk me about how things going on between you and the Vampire Barbie..." I smiled just thinking about Caroline.

"I like her and sometimes seem that she likes me but other times..."

"She just has problems in trusting guys" Damon said looking at the ground and added "It's my fault"

"What is your fault?"

"She can't trust completely in guys because... because what I did to her when she was human. It was a time that I was just full of revenge and hate, I just want that my brother and everyone around him suffered..."

"What did you do to her?" I asked now angry.

"I compelled her to have sex with me whenever I wanted, I erase her memories and used her as my own blood bag..." Damon said and I put my hand in his trough and pushed him to the wall.

"How could you do that to her?" I asked angrier, then I felt someone pushing me to the other wall, it was Caroline.

"We need to talk in private." She said and went to the woods.

Caroline's POV

I was now on the woods and Klaus was behind me.

I can't believe he was all protective guy, who think he is? He is not my boyfriend or my father and I can handle myself.

"What the hell???" I shouted looking at him angry.

"I think that should be my quote. He used you when you were human, he..." he shouted back to me

"You don't have anything to do about my life. I am perfectly capable of handling myself."

"Really?"

"Yes. And you shouldn't had acted like that. You seemed like a stupid jealous boyfriend."

"He compelled you to..."

"I know what he did. But he is change because love change us, and make us better persons. He is not the same Damon Salvatore he was when we met."

"You know what? Maybe I am naïve. I did defend you and I almost get killed because of you. So..." I said walking away with tears in my face.

"Caroline..." He said when he grabbed my wrist "I am sorry. I just can't stand imagining you getting hurt."

I turned to see him and saw a tear falling from his eye. I can't believe that I did this to him, I hugged him and he hugged me back.

"Do you forgive me?" He asked still hugging me.

"Of course." I said then I broke the hug and looked at him. "I can't be mad at you for a long time Klaus."
