Serena's POV

"Serena,"

"Serena!"

"C'mon Serena it's time to go!"

I wake up to find a pair of bright blue eyes staring down at me. I jump and sit straight up in surprise, almost bumping my head into Bonnie's. I rub my eyes and yawn.

"Time for what?" I ask absentmindedly. Bonnie lets out an exasperated sigh.

"To go shopping of course! We have to get you ready for the dance tomorrow night!" She says excitedly. I roll over and snuggle back under the covers. I'm not ready for a shopping trip just yet.

"Just imagine Ash's face when he sees you all dressed up and pretty," Bonnie says, squealing. I look at her in surprise.

"What did you say?"

"Nothing," she replies innocently. I roll my eyes and lay back down, that girl is smarter than she lets on.

"C'mon Serena get up, we have stuff to do!" I pretend to be sleeping. Bonnie does what any little sister would and shoves me off the bed. I give her a well meaning glare then stand up.

"Alright alright, I'll go get dressed," I sigh, grabbing my clothes and my purse.

"Yay! I will go tell Miette that you are almost ready to go," Bonnie says, skipping down the hall.

Wait. Did she just say Miette?! I trip over my own feet in surprise, falling flat on the ground. I hear the sound of footsteps approaching.

"My goodness Serena, are you alright?!" A voice says, sounding concerned.

"Yeah I'm alri- hey!" I begin, then stop, realizing who the voice belongs to.

"Miss me?" Miette asks, grinning.

"Not particularly," I grumble. Miette laughs and helps me up.

"So how was your time alone with Ash?" A faint blush brushes my cheeks.

"Fine..." I reply.

"So did you guys kiss?" Miette asks. I almost trip again.

"No!!" I shout, turning bright red.

"Oh... what a shame... maybe next time," Miette replies smirking. I inwardly groan. How am I supposed to put up with this for an entire day?! Bonnie comes strolling down the hallway.

"Serena, why aren't you dressed yet?!" She exclaims.

"I got a little... sidetracked," I reply, glaring at Miette.

"Well you had better hurry Serena, we have a lot to get done," Bonnie says in a business-like tone. I giggle at her professionalism and nod, heading into the bathroom to get ready. Once we are all ready to go we all peek in on the boys in the living room, who are playing video games.

"What do you think you are doing?!" Bonnie screeches. Ash and Clemont sweatdrop.

"Playing video games..." Ash offers nervously. Bonnie facepalms.

"But the dance is tomorrow! I don't suppose you two already have a suit and tie picked out do you?" Bonnie scolds. Ash rubs his neck, embarrassed, while Clemont just stares blankly at Bonnie.

"Suit and tie...?" Clemont asks. Bonnie folds her arms and nods.

"I suggest you get going," Bonnie instructs, gesturing to the door. Both the boys sigh and go to get their shoes on. Bonnie looks smug.

"You have them wrapped around your finger don't you?" Laughs Miette. Bonnie shrugs.

"They would be lost without me." I forget how much Bonnie has grown up over the years. I smile watching her rush the boys out the door.

"Nooow, back to our shopping trip. C'mon let's go!" She says, hustling us out the door.

After about an hour of shopping my feet hurt and our arms are full of shopping bags. Miette and I are ready for a break but Bonnie is as energetic as ever.

"Bonnie... can we... sit... for a... moment," Miette huffs, reading my thoughts. Bonnie doesn't even turn around.

"Nope," She says, continuing forward.

"Please? We have been walking all day," I groan. Bonnie looks back at us to roll her eyes.

"But we haven't even got the dresses yet! C'mon, let's just go to this last dress shop and then we can take a break. Miette and I share an exhausted look.

"Well, she won't let us stop until we do what she says," I think. Miette and I both sigh.

"Fine," we say simeltaniously. Bonnie grins and leads the way to the dress shop.

I gasp as we walk through the door. Beautiful dresses are everywhere, in every color. They line the walls and hang on racks all over. We all look around in a daze.

"May I help you?" A sweet looking lady asks. Miette and I are still speechless so Bonnie answers for us.

"Yes please. We need two ballroom gowns for them," she says, pointing to Miette and I. The woman looks us over.

"Alright, right this way," she says, leading us to one end of the huge room. She gesture to several racks of gorgeous ballroom dresses. "These should do just fine, just let me know if you need anything else," she says. We all nod and she walks away. I run my hand over the different fabrics. Miette seems to be deciding on a color. Bonnie begins to rifle through the dresses.

"I can't believe we get to wear these," Miette says, holding up a green dress.

"Mhm..." I nod absentmindedly, still in awe of the amount of dresses. Bonnie holds up a pale pink gown.

"Miette this would look so pretty on you!" She squeals. Miette comes over, examining it. She smiles.

"It's beautiful, I'll go try it on," she says, taking the dress over to the dressing room. Bonnie and I continue looking. A minute later Miette comes back out.

"It fits perfectly!" She says, happily twirling in the gown. She does look stunning in it. The dress seems meant for her.

"You look gorgeous," I say honestly. Her smile looks even brighter.

"Really? Thank you," she replies earnestly. I can't help but smile back. Miette isn't so bad when she isn't teasing me. Miette goes to back to the dressing room to change. I go back to searching.

"Aha!" Bonnie exclaims from across the room. I peek over at her.

"What?"

"I found the perfect dress for you!" She replies happily. She reaches for the hanger and holds up a dress. It is a beautiful light blue, and seems to glow as it moves. It flows to the floor in what seems like shimmering waves. I stare at it in awe as Bonnie brings it over.

"It seems too pretty to wear..." I say. Bonnie hands it to me anyways. I walk over to the dressing room and close the door. Looking at it, I can't help but feels butterflies of anticipation thinking about trying it on. I change out of my normal clothes and slip it on. There is a rustle of fabric then it slides like silk on. The dress fits me perfectly. I can't help but shiver in pleasure as the cool fabric swishes back and forth. Then I look in the mirror. It looks beautiful... I look beautiful. I do a small turn, feeling like a princess. After admiring myself in the mirror a bit longer I step out of the dressing room. Miette and Bonnie turn around to look. They don't say anything. They just stand there staring, mouths slightly agape. I begin to feel self conscious. Tucking a lock if hair behind my ear I laugh nervously.

"It's too fancy for me isn't it," I say, glancing at the ground. Bonnie and Miette both blink and simultaneously shake their heads.

"No, it's just... you look..." Bonnie begins.

"You look beautiful," Miette says. I blush.

"Well I just don't know if I can pull if such a fancy dress," I say, rubbing my shoulder.

"Are you kidding me? You look like a princess! Man I can't wait to see Ash's expression when he sees you in that," Bonnie replies, grinning.

"Bonnie!" I exclaim, turning bright red. Miette grins and wraps an arm around me.

"She's right, he will be absolutely speechless," she says. I try to ignore them as they continue fangirling about the fantasies that await me.

"I'm gonna go change," I announce, but they don't notice and continue talking. Once inside the dressing room, I am reluctant to take off the beautiful dress, but eventually slide the silky fabric off with the promise of wearing it again tomorrow. I change back into my normal clothes and step out. I pay for both dresses (my Kalos Queen paycheck easily helps pay for them) and we head out. When we walk in the door of Clemont and Bonnie' s house Miette and I finally crash, tossing the shopping bags on the floor. I give a sigh of relief that this day of walking is finally over. I peek into the living room to find the boys exactly where they were before; on the couch, game controllers in their hands. Of course this time they have two shopping bags lying against the couch. I plop down next to Ash who gives me a quick glance if a greeting before returning his game.

"How was shopping?" He asks. I shrug and lean back.

"Meh," I reply. "You?"

"Meh," he answers back and we both chuckle. Miette peeks her head in the doorway.

"Well I should probably get going, it's getting late," She says. "See you guys tomorrow."

"Bye, see ya," we all chorus. After a moment I hear the door shut behind her. Bonnie comes and joins us on the couch.

"Do you guys want to watch a movie or something?" She asks. Clemont pauses the game.

"Sure, I was getting kinda tired of this anyways," he replies. Ash nods in agreement.

"What should we watch?" He questions. Bonnie smirks.

"Rom-Cooooom!" She says in a sing-songy voice.

"No way," Clemont complains, rolling his eyes.

"No we should, I love Rom-Coms," I say pleadingly. Ash looks defeated.

"Listen bro, with two girls teaming up against us we really have no choice," he says, chuckling. Clemont puts the remote down in defeat.

"Yeah, you're right. But I'm not gonna like it," he grumbles. Bonnie squeals and I clap my hands together.

"Well, let's get on with it, you two go on and choose a movie," Ash sighs. Bonnie and I scurry over to the movie cabinet and begin browsing. We end up deciding on one I have never seen before. We put the DVD in and the movie begins. Bonnie goes and snuggles up by Clemont and I sit back down by Ash. The thought crosses my mind that I am watching a romance movie, almost alone with Ash, but I brush it aside, not wanting to dwell on it at the moment. Instead I watch, and enter the world of deceit, comedy, drama, and most of all... love.

Well that was a terrible ending to the chapter. I'm really sorry, it was just getting too long and I needed some way to end it. The next chapter is going to be super cute (get ready fangirls and fanboys). It will continue pretty much right after I left off so you won't miss any of the adorkableness. I will update sometime tmrw (although idk when). Sorry for not updating for a while, I had some pretty bad writers block, but rewatching episodes 59 and 79 (and fangirling about 104) helped me get some new ideas. I will be updating all my books more regularly now that the semester is over. Be looking for updates in my other books too ;) You are probably sick of me talking now so bye!
