Serena had been back in New York for a few days, when Blair suggested that they go shopping. "Do you think that's a wise idea B, I mean what if you go into labor or something? Besides what could you possibly need? You and Chuck have enough baby things to have four kids." "I wanted to go shopping for you, you'll need some new outfits once you take that job with Chuck." "B, I have more than enough nice outfits to last me a while, and if I need anything else, I can always ask Jenny, have you seen her designs lately? They are among." "I have and they are, but come on, please S.. really need to get out of this house, besides my doctor told me that walking wouldn't hurt me, of anything it might help me." "Fine, but the minute that you feel any kind of pain, we leave." "Deal!" Blair said with a smile as she stood up from the couch to grab her purse.  The two woman had went to the mall, they had walked around a few stores before Blair asked "So have you spoken to Nate lately?" "No, not since he moved to Texas. Have you or Chuck?" "No, I mean I haven't, and I don't think that Chuck has, but I didn't know that my husband was talking to you. So.." Blair said just as a pain ran through her stomach, causing her to double over, and had Serena wrapping her arms around the shorter woman in. "Okay, that's it, we're talking you back home to wait for Chuck." "I don't we think that's such a good idea." Blair says just as her water broke.

In his office across town Chuck had been about to enter a very important business meeting, when Serena called his cell phone, telling him that Blair had went into labor. Now on the one hand this meeting was with some very important men who wanted to invest in his hotel chain, making him even more money than he already had, he knew that leaving could be very bad. But on the other hand he knew that if he missed the birth of his children, all the money in the world wouldn't save him from Blair's wrath, and now that Serena was back, he would be doubly in trouble.  So he found his assistant, and telling her Listen G, Blair has went into labor, so I need you to handle this meeting for me." "But Chuck, I mean Mr.Bass, I couldn't possibly.." "Look Georgia, I won't lie when Serena recommend you for this job, all of those years ago. Well let's just say that I had my doubts...but over the years you have more than proven yourself.  And I trust you completely, now get in there and make me proud." Chuck says turning to run out of his office, towards the elevator.

As Blair laid in that small, yet comfortable bed pushing and pushing, and pushing some more, she began to understand why she was an only child. Now even though this was probably the worst pain that the new mother had ever experienced, she honestly had no regrets, and couldn't wait until the moment that she would be holding her twins in her arms, it was six long hours later, but she had finally done it, she had given birth to the most beautiful babies she'd ever seen (not that she had ever seen that many babies) but still the few she had seen were not nearly as beautiful as hers and Chuck's. Blair hadn't even realized that she had fallen asleep, until she heard her hospital room door being opened. And in walked nurse Rose, followed by Chuck and Serena, we were each carrying one of the twins in their arms, making the new mother smile. as she says "Hand me my babies." with her arms out. Serena smiles as she gentle placed the little girl  she'd been holding into her mother's arms. Chuck was still holding his (their) son, when Blair says "Chuck, I would appreciate it if you'd let me hold my son, the son that I brought into this world." Chuck was holding his breath as he reluctantly laid the baby into his wife's arms. Chuck moved away from Blair holding his breath, knowing that any minute now Blair would see that he had done just what she asked him to and picked out a name for their son. A name that he was willing to bet would make her blow a fuse, not because it wasn't a good name, because it was, at least Chuck had thought it was, Blair on the other hand, would probably see it differently. Blair couldn't help but smile as she began looking her twins over, counting all twenty fingers, and twenty toes, it was as she was counting her sons tiny little that she noticed a little blue band on her sons left ankle. Upon farther inspection Blair quickly noticed that there was a name printed on it, that read Sebastian Bartholomew Smythe...Sebastian Bartholomew Smythe? Sebastian Bartholomew Smythe? Oh God! I think that I have been given someone else's baby by mistake, I need to call nurse Rose immediately." "Actually you don't, honey that is our son!" Chuck says in a very calming manner, which seemed to upset his wife more than she already was. Having not only known both of the new parents for most of her life, meant that Serena could tell that Blair was about to have a fit, but she had also known about the name that Chuck had picked out for their son, and she had wanted to tell Blair about it, but Chuck made her swear that she wouldn't, claiming that he would tell her himself. Which she now knew he hadn't, but that did not mean that she wanted to be drug into this, so she stepped in between the new parents, taking the babies out of Blair's arms, and placing a kiss on her best friends cheek as she said "Well this could get very uncomfortable, so I am going to take your children back down to the nurse's station, then I am heading home for the day, please promise me that the two of you will listen to each other, and not make a scene." Serena had just taken the twins to the nurse on duty when she heard "If you would just listen to me, you would understand." Knowing that she could hear the new parents fighting meant that everyone else on this floor could as well, and that is what had her turning back around towards Blair's room.
