My parents appeared to be happy with William courting me and so was I; they say that you know who the one is after a few moments with them and that's true. I met my William when walking in the streets with Louise, my step-mother; I nearly lost my bracelet that day, it had once belonged to my mother Elizabeth, he saw it on the street and chased after Louise and I to return it back to me. From that moment I knew that he was the one and then, a few days later, I had been taking to my father in the drawing room he appeared at the house to acquaintance himself with me. Him and his friend William Hare visited often and were well respected by my parents which filled me with relief. All was finally good in the house, my father had married Louise who was now expecting a child, I had William and I had even grown to be quite fond of Mary Pearcey.
It was a happy house and I couldn't imagine it being anything other than what it was - there was nothing that could ruin our perfect family. Soon there would be a new baby and a new marriage - perhaps after that it would be my baby rather than Louise's...
