i look out my window, wondering what he may be doing at this moment.

the skies were a blue that i no longer seen meaning to. i no longer seen purpose to.

i check my phone. no text messages.

i grab my bag and decide to take a walk, that's all i could really ever do these days.

i walk by the nearby park. i look down consciously away from the crowd.

"hey." i glance up at the sudden voice. it was a guy that i had seen around before but not often.

"hi." i say, making eye contact for a brief moment. i don't crack a smile. i no longer had to pretend. everyone now knew all that i've done and felt.

"you look lonely. Do you mind coming to hang with me and my friends?" he points across at a group of people who were sitting in a circle together near a large tree. i squint my eyes as the sun blinds me.

"uh, sure. i guess." i say nearly in a whisper.

i follow him over to his group of friends. i counted how many: there was six, counting him. four boys. two girls.

"lookie here, it's a wanderer." he says, as we approach them and he takes his seat. i stand, not knowing whether to sit as well.

they all look up at me and smile. they seemed very friendly and nice but didn't he? he seemed so life-like and delicate but instead he was hell-like and thorned.

"hey there. you should sit down and stay awhile. don't be shy. we don't bite." one of the two girls says. i sit beside her as she makes a space for me.

they all were smoking, something i despised but couldn't stop doing.

"could i?" i ask, awkwardly.

they laugh loudly and nod. where they sat was not out in the open in a park like you'd think. it was kind of hidden, like a secret place only the six knew of and now me.

i knew if i stick around any longer they'd see what he saw and leave. i stay quiet, listening to their sarcastic jokes and happy manner.

"do you need my name?" i ask, randomly. i just remembered that i didn't even introduce myself.

"we don't go by names. you earn a name. let's introduce us to her." they inform me.

i nod and bite my lip. earn a name?

"this is rocky, xy, and beanie." he says, pointing to the three other guys. rocky smiles widely and beanie waves.

rocky looked the type at school who'd punch you in the face for just looking at him. beanie looked innocent and careful. i look over at xy and he just stares at his cigarette, like it's the best thing in the entire world. i look down at my own and wonder what he sees.

"and my name is steel." he adds, with a flirty smile.

i let out a laugh and then stop suddenly realizing i just laughed.

he grins. he then points to the two girls who both look like they came out of a vampire movie.

"that is destiny and the other is vertigo." they smile at me warmly with their perfect white teeth and dark cherry red lipstick.

"youre going to be alot more difficult to name. you are so quiet and calm-like." beanie says, winking.

i shrug, with a grin. i've never had much to say anyway.

"well, how about we go have some fun tonight?" rocky says, getting to his feet.

"sounds like a plan. wanna come?" steel says.

i think for maybe a half of second and then smile and nod. "yes." i reply.

they all laugh and begin to discuss where and i smiled back because now i had some friends. and maybe i just won't loose anybody this time.
