I didn't expect children- I kinda fell into motherhood. Two beautiful souls have since, uttered this one word daily: "Muuuum!"

Sometimes it's still attached to little boy musings: "Muuuum! What's for dinner?"

"... Air?"

Other times their younger brains try accommodating my much older one. "Muuuum! Eeewww!"

"What? You telling me I can't?"

No matter how it emerges and what it's tacked on to, there's no more satisfying word than "Mum!" (Or as in our house, "Muuuum!") That drawn out sound in the middle? Within it is every shared memory, life-lesson, every bit of laughter... even some dark times.

Within it also, is LOVE.
