Alec had been obsessed with a song lately. He couldn't stop singing Second Chance by Shinedown. It was a great song and he just couldn't get enough of it.

He was curantly training in the training room while listening to his I-pod. He was listening to the same song he'd been so obsessed with and was completely unaware that Jace had just walked in ready to train. Then he stopped when ALec started to sing.

" My eyes are open wide and by the way I made it through the day, I watched the world outside, by the way I'm leaving out today.

I just saw Halley's comet, she waved. Said, " Why you always running in place?" Even the man in the moon disappeared, somewhere in this stratosphere .

He swung his seraph blade and hit dummy right in the face. Jace had brought out his phone and started to take a video of Alec singing to send to the others and show Alec. While he filmed it Alec kept on singing.

" Please don't cry one tear for me, I'm not afraid of what I have to say, this is my one and only voice so listen close its only for today.

As he continued to sing Jace couldn't help but be stunned at how well Alec sang. Jace wondered why he didn't sing more often. He just watched as Alec continued to sing.

And with that he finished singing. Jace sent the video to everyone and walked up to Alec. " Yo Alec." Says Jace.

Alec jumped and ripped his headphones out of his ears and turned to look at Jace. Then he saw the smile on Jace's face. " Please tell me you didn't see that?" Says Alec.

" I would but that would be lying." Says Jace.

Alec looked away embarrassed. Jace sighed and put his hand on Alec's shoulder. " Dude don't be embarrassed ok, you were good, very good." Says Jace.

Alec looked shocked. " Really?" Says Alec.

Jace nodded and Alec smiled.

( Later that night.)

" Dude I so whopped your butt in balance sword fighting." Says Alec.

" Did not." Spat Jace.

" Did to."

" Did. Not."

" Did t... " says Alec, but as they walked into another room they were both grabbed and a cloth was placed over their mouths.

They fought with all their strength but even that wasn't enough. Their sight started to darken and just before they passed out they saw a weird guy walk up laughing. " Nighty night my little Shadowhunters." And with that they fled into darkness.
