*Claire's POV*

I was home. I was happy. It was a dream come true, I never thought Morganville would be the place I loved wholeheartedly, yet here I stood, proven so very wrong. I loved it here, with the crazy vampires, the daily bitings, the constant fear of having every last drop of blood wretched from your innocent veins by a vampire so dizzy with hunger that they dont know whats up or down. Its insane to love this place, yet here I am, a complete contradiction of myself. A foolish brainiac. I was breathless with excitement as Michael wrapped his arms around me and smiled, he looked identical (no surprise being a vamp and all) with his messy blonde hair and ocean blue eyes. Eve joined our hug and we all had happy tears running down our faces. I wished this could last forever but I had things to do, as much as I wish I could just disappear from the spotlight, I would instantly be noticed as a pop star by one of the college kids. So I knew I needed to tell everyone, just not in the conventional talking way.

As we let go of our hug, Eve told me to stay in my old room if I wanted, I thanked her but I had already bought a home, surprisingly, next door to the Glass House. I was thrilled to be neighbours with them! We sat and talked for hours until the sun started to dim. The two refused to let me leave after 3 years apart, so I smiled and promised to come back as soon as I was unpacked which they insisted they helped me with. We all finally agreed and so I ran next door with my keys in my hand and walked inside.

It was a Founder House so the layout was identical to the Glass House. Whilst I was in the car on my way here, I had called my manager and told him to hire a moving company and send all my things here, which he had done straight away, he was great like that! I had also used the ride to buy the house on my phone, it went through shockingly fast, but in Morganville, not many people are moving in so the company that sells homes here is on the dot with timing! I started to unload everything from the van as did Eve and Michael. With Mikeys Vamp speed and strength, everything was in the living room in 5 minutes. I thanked them both so much and they went back home after more hugs of course! And I began to move things to their respective rooms. Thankfully the house already had most of the necessary furniture, although I truly disliked most of it. I smiled as I suddenly realised that my Manager had packed EVERYTHING from my house. Even my sofas and my bed too! I was thrilled, and so I knew I had a lonnnggg night ahead of me. I put everything in its places and smiled, only 3 hours! My room was already the perfect shade of baby pink and the other rooms I left alone for now. Eventually, I might make one an office, another a studio and recording room and leave the last as a guest room. Id decide some other time.

I checked the time, 1am, and called Eve to see if they were still awake. Of course they were, so I went back to their house and joined them for the rest of the night. We played board games and talked and drank abit too. Eve was asking a few questions aswell "Ok ok ok, so you left here for three years, but as soon as Mikey texted you, you came back? Thats too cute!" I smiled lightly, "Kind of, I always felt like I was missing something whilst I was gone and I couldn't work out what it was, then I got that text and I realised that I missed home, where there was crazy stuff every day and drama at 4am for no reason and the vamps and the blood and the love and friends and my family, I just missed Morganville, home."
Michael smiled at me with kind eyes "Oh Claire... thats so sweet, we missed you so much, like you have NO clue, Eve was going crazy, Myrnin was going even more crazy, who even knew THAT was possible!" I snorted a laugh "Oh leave him alone Mikey!"

We all talked for hours more, just about happy things and birthdays and Christmas's we had missed together. Just the little things that meant so much. I then pondered a question in my mind, I desperately wanted to know why they wanted me back now but didn't want to upset anyone. I wasn't sure if I was going to like the reason they needed me. But I had to know. "Hey Mikey?" I began "I was wondering why it was that you wanted me to come back specifically now?" Micheal gave me a little smile as he answered, "Well, Myrnin was telling everyone about this thing he just finished working on, apparently hes been working on it for about 4 years now and he was so happy. When he said 4 years, I knew that meant you had probably helped him with it while you were here and I knew you would want to see it finished so I texted you. Also, everyone missed you like Hell. You were what kept everyone sane, and alive quite alot!"

I smiled and thanked him, I had a strange feeling I knew what this invention might be, but I suppose I would see when Myrnin was ready! For now we were all tired, and so I spenr the night sleeping in my old room, they hadn't changed a thing about it! I smiled and breathed in deeply the scent of the home, before I climbed into bed I hugged the wall and felt its warm embrace. I then feel soundly asleep to the silence of the moon.

When I woke up, I walked downstairs and realised how early it was, 8am, considering we hadnt slept until about 3am that was very impressive. I left a quick note letting them know I had gone back to my new house next door. I walked in and smiled, I really had done a good job decorating last night. I had to go to the shops today to actually get some food in, so I went upstairs and grabbed a shower, I then put on a short red satin dress, some black velvet thigh high boots and a denim jacket. I applied a full face of makeup and curled my hair. I put in some gold hoop earrings and and gold princess ring and smiled at myself in the mirror. My vibrant red lipstick perfectly matched my dress. I thought back to when I first came to Morganville, Monica Morrell was always a bitch to me. Now I looked 10x better than she ever did if I do say so myself. I flicked my hair back and walked down the stairs, grabbing a red, small, satin handbag and placing my phone and purse in it as I got ready to walk to the shops. As I stepped oit of my house, I noticed my 2 favourite cars had been delivered here too! My manager was awesome. I should really apologise for telling him I quit when I didnt.... oops. I texted him an apology quickly and he was fine with it! I wasnt sure if I wanted to take a car or walk, I chose to walk, the weather was gorgeous and the sun was perfect. I slipped back into my house and grabbed my shades and then left once more. I passed my cars (A Lamborghini Huracán Evo Spyder in glossy black and a Range Rover Vogue in deep red) as I walked out and began a stroll down the street. As I walked past people looked at me, openly gawking. Not many people in Morganville wore a tight dress and heels on the daily i suppose! I passed Common Grounds and glanced inside to see Oliver staring at me, I smiled at him and he, shockingly, smiled back. I got to the shop and bought all the groceries I would need to last me a couple weeks. I then realised that I had to carry all this back. I decided to call Eve, assuming she was up.

"Hey CB! Whats up?" I smiled at her cheerful voice "Heyy! Could you do me a favour? Im at the shop and bought a bunch of stuff and forgot that I would have to carry it home, could you go into my house and grab the keys for the Lamborghini and drive it here and pick me up please? I left a key to my house with the not I left earlier!" I practically heard her jaw drop "Oh My Freaking God.... You have a Lamborghini!? That's awesome!!! Ill be there in a couple minutes!"

I thanked her and hung up, deciding to pick up a few more bits while I was here like some flowers for the living room and some chocolates and sweets and treats. I checked out once again and then walked to the shop entrance to see Eve pull up looking amazed. I smiled at her as she gawked at my car and told me all about how amazing it is. I laughed lightly and agreed that it was awesome! She helped me put all the shopping in the back seats and then she hopped into the passenger seat and I got into the drivers side. I smiled at her cheekily. "Wanna go real fast?" I said with a grin. "Hell yeah!" Eve said, grinning ear to ear.

I smiled and drove away from the main part of town and went to the border. I knew Amelie would be mad that I took Eve out of town but hey, oh well! It was only to go on the motorway and get some real speed. We went up the motorway pretty quick and Eve looked amazed. Heh, she was in for a treat now then! As we got to the next town, I turned around and came on the ither side of the motorway, heading back to Morganville. And I put my foot down. We were breaking all kinds of speed limits and laws but oh well! I didnt go any faster than 170mph with the roof down, as we neared the towns border, going extremely fast, I caught a glimpse of Amelie, Oliver, Myrnin and Michael stood there. In the daylight. What? I realised Amelie would not be happy about my speed so i slowed us down and stopped at the others.

"That was THE coolest thing I have ever done!" Eve exclaimed, her voice an octave higher than usual. "Ill take you alot faster next time if I put the roof up!" I laughed.

Michael looked at me as I got out the car and shook his head at us. The others looked stunned as they took in my car, my apparent love for speed and my outfit. I gave them all a smile and walked around to stand by Eve.

"You just went in a Lamborghini, with the roof down, at a ridiculous speed, with another human in the car with you, whilst you drove in 6 inch stiletto heels?" He asked exasperated. "Yep, and I drove better than you could even dream of! This car is my baby, I know exactly how to drive her in stilettos!" I smiled lightly at him.

Then I suddenly realised I hadnt asked the burning question I had. "How the Hell are you all out in the middle of the day, in normal clothes?!"
