Human reactions

AN: I couldn't control myself and had to write another fic. After the windblume event I fell in love with Bennett and Razor's dynamic, these two deserve so much love!

Summary: after some cuddles turn into unexpected tickles, Bennett teaches Razor about tickling.

After being stuck in the equivalent of a prison for Barbatos knows how long, Bennett thought that Razor would be tired of hanging out with him. But even after the Windblume festival ended, Razor still wanted to go adventuring with him as much as possible. Razor had shown him as much of Wolvendom as he could, giving him a tour of where he grew up, where he trained, and even introduced him to some of his lupicle. After showing so much, Bennett decided that he wanted to show Razor some of his own favorite places.

This trip would take them to Starsnatch cliff, where they would be able to see the brilliant sunset over the ocean and watch the dandelion fluff float away in the breeze. Unfortunately, partially due to the distance they traveled, and partially due to Bennetts luck, they were only able to make it to the base of the cliff by the time the sun was almost done setting. They decided to set up camp at the base of the cliff instead so that in the early morning they could climb it and watch the sunrise over mondstadt.

They set up a tent to cover their heads and a fire in front of it to keep warm once the sun fully went down. They had packed food in advance for this trip, so they wouldn't have to risk Bennett trying to cook something. All things considered, it was a nice setup. The tent would inevitably fall down some time in the middle of the night while they slept, but that was to be expected. Until then, they were both content sitting in front of the fire as night fell and the stars appeared in the sky.

As Bennett laid against the wall they had propped up their tent against, arms behind his back in peaceful bliss, Razor sat down next to him.

"Tired?" He asked his adventure buddy.

Bennett smiled and nodded, his eyes closed in his relaxed state. "Just a little. I'll probably go to sleep in a little while, I just want to enjoy the warmth of the fire first."

Razor nodded in return. "Razor tired too."

He then proceeded to lay his head down on Bennett's stomach, using him as a human pillow. Bennett flinched in surprise, his eyes quickly opening. He hadn't been expecting his friend to be in a cuddling mood. Razor noticed his sudden reaction though.

"Bennett okay?" He asked, concerned he had hurt his friend by laying on him.

"Y-yeah." Bennett stammered, blush rising to his face. "I just didn't expect that."

Bennet didn't usually get this flustered over physical affection, but when it came to Razor he couldn't help but feel butterflies. From a simple hug to holding his hand as he helped him after a fall, it all made his stomach do summersaults, especially when it was so out of the blue like this.

"Razor sleeps with lupical most days. Laying like this helps keep warm."

Bennett didn't mind, he was enjoying the extra warmth his friend was providing, but that didn't stop his face from flushing at the situation.

"Don't have to lay on friend." Razor said.

"No, it's alright." Bennett interjected. "I'm just not used to it." Though he still felt those butterflies, Bennett had to admit that he enjoyed the feeling of Razors warmth as he laid on him.
"It is comfy though." he admitted with a content smile. To emphasize this, he stretched his arms up as he took a deep breath and let the rest of him relax. He closed his eyes and let himself take in the warmth of the fire and Razor. In turn, the wolf boy laid his head back down.

Comfortable and nestled onto Bennett's stomach, Razor nuzzled his head on his friend as he would with his wolf family. Little did he know that the combination of his long hair and nuzzling was sending ticklish flutters all over Bennett's torso. Bennett's eyes suddenly shot oppen as a fit of giggles suddenly escaped him.

"Rahahahahahazor!" He protested through his laughter, trying to not squirm around too much and knock his friend off. "Yohohohr tickling mehehe!"

Razor stopped and looked up and into Bennett's eyes as innocently as a child. Razor was unfamiliar with a lot of human words, and so far none of his friends had taught him this one.

"Ti-ckle?" He tested out the word himself, trying to sound it out. "Don't know this word."

Bennett had to take a moment to stop his giggling. "You don't know what tickling is?"

Razor shook his head no.

Bennet tried not to show his surprise on his face. He had assumed that something like tickling would be universal, but perhaps it was experienced differently in the world of wolves.  Even if he was ticklish, he had probably never had a name for the sensation until now.

"Well, Tickling is when you touch someone in a way that makes them laugh." He explained. "Maybe you've actually felt it before but never had a word for it. I guess that laughing is more of a human reaction to it."

Razor's confusion still showed as he tilted his head to the side, almost akin to that of a puppy. Bennett found that so adorable.

"What it feel like?"

Bennett was starting to feel flustered by just the thought of tickling. He tried not to let his shyness overwhelm him, but couldn't suppress the blush growing on his face.

"It's kind of hard to explain." He rubbed the back of his head in thought. "I could show you. Only if you want, of course."

Razor didn't hesitate for a second as curiosity filled his eyes. "Okay. What Razor do?"

Bennett might have been shocked if it was anyone other than Razor he was having this interaction with.."U-um. I guess you should just lie down on your back."

Razor did as he asked, laying flat on his back under their tent, eagerly waiting for more of Bennetts instructions.

"Now what?"

"H-here." Bennett stammered. "I'll hold your arm above your head. You'll probably move around alot, so don't be too surprised, okay?"

Razor nodded his head, giving the okay for Bennett.

"Just tell me to stop whenever you want, alright?"

Both of Razor's arms were tucked behind his head as he nodded again. Bennet used one of his hands to hold down one of his arms to make sure it stayed there. He started gently running his fingers over his ribs. As he did so, Razor started flinching and scoffs of laughter could be heard.

"F-funny feeling." His face was scrunched up and into a grin as he held back his laughter.

Bennett giggled to himself. Razor really was adorable. He decided to switch from his ribs to under his arm, and immediately the reaction was much more dramatic. Razor's arm tried to shoot down to his side, but Bennett held his arm up tight at his head.

"Feheheheals really weihihihihird!" Razor was full on laughing at this point, his giggles much more light and fluttery than Bennett thought they would be. The sound made Bennetts own heart flutter. He grinned even brighter as he started scribbling a bit rougher on the sensitive underarm, sending Razor into even more of a giggling fit, starting to squirm left and right.

The feeling was actually familiar to Razor. He would sometimes feel it when he was snuggled up with his lupical as their fur would brush against his neck, or when they would lick his face. But the sensation had always been mild, resulting in no more than a twitch and a slight smirk. Now with Bennetts fingers scribbling all over his underarm, the feeling was much more intense. As much as he tried, he couldn't suppress his laughter as the tickling sent shock waves through him. His arm involuntarily tried to shoot down to protect the sensitive area, and when he found it couldn't he began squirming even harder.

"Reahahahahahly weihihihiHIHIRD'' Razor's light laughter suddenly became cackles when Bennett experimentally scribbled his fingers just above his underarm on the bicep. It was less common of a tickle spot, but he knew it could be REALLY effective on some people, and it seemed like Razor was one of them.

Bennett started feeling more and more confident as he saw how hysterical Razor's laughter was becoming. It was like all the butterflies he had felt earlier turned into warmth in his chest as he looked upon his friend.

"Ohhhhh," he cooed. "Looks like I found a really good spot! Tickle tickle!" The teasing seemed to make the ticklish sensations all the more extreme, as Razor finally reached his breaking point.

"AHAHAHA, okahahahay! Razor neheheheheds brake!"

Bennett stopped his wiggling fingers and let go of his arm.

"You're even more ticklish than I imagined!" He said, laughing along with Razor as he pulled his arm down. Giggles still escaped Razor as he tried to stop laughing. "You okay?"

Razors giggling finally started to die down, but a grin was still plastered onto his face as residue tingling lingered everywhere Bennett had tickled him.

"Tickles feel funny." He stated matter of factly, still a bit out of breath. "But Razor liked feeling. Like Bennetts poem. Feel warm and tingly."

Bennett's smile got all the more bright. Barbatos, Razor was cute.

"Yeah, I enjoy the feeling too." He exclaimed. "I'm a little bit shy about it though, so I haven't told many people."

Razor turned to him. "Bennett want turn?"

There were those butterflies again. This time Razor could see his friend's face turning red, but it didn't really concern him. He just assumed it was from the warmth of the fire. Meanwhile Bennett didn't think he'd be able to form a sentence if he tried.

"Y-you want to... have a go?" he gave an attempt at an answer.

"That a yes?" he asked. "Razor want Bennett to laugh too. Make Bennett happy." His face was lit up bright as a the Liyue sky during the lantern rite, a look so innocent and jovial that Bennett couldn't possibly refuse, no mater how flustered the thought of being tickled by his companion made him.

Instead of answering, he just layed down on the ground like Razor had, an excited grin on his face as the anticipation made him giddy, though he tried not to let it show too much. Razor took this as an invitation to go ahead and hold his arm down like Bennett had done to him.

Right away he started to mimic the way Bennett had scribbled his finger on his ribs. His fingers were a bit clumsy from not having any tickling experience before this, but that didn't seem to matter, as Bennett was so ticklish that just a brush stroke would send him giggling to the floor.

"Bennett okay?" Razor asked. He wanted to make sure he wasn't hurting him or overwhelming him in any way.

"Ihihihihih'm fihihihihihne!" Bennetts bubbly laughter stayed consistent throughout his statement. Razor tickled everywhere Bennett had tickled him, and he seemed to be ticklish everywhere, but his laughter didn't seem to change the way Razor's had. He wasn't sure why though.

"This not tickle as much?" He momentarily stopped scratching at his friend's underarm so he could catch his breath.

"You mean compared to you?" He stated, still gasping for breath. "Well, some people are more ticklish in other places. That was probably your biggest tickle spot."

"Where Bennetts tickle spot?" He asked.

Well, Bennett officially couldn't get any redder. He had to fight the urge to cover his face with his hands, but he managed to find a playful tone to answer Razor.

"I can't just tell you that, silly!  You'll have to find out on your own." he was able to put on a sly grin, though it was mostly to cover up how giddy he was feeling.

Razor gave a sly smile of his own at the challenge and started wiggling his fingers over Bennett's ribs again.

"Razor will find it." he tried to say as teasingly as he could, but it came off more determined than anything. He started scribbling as fast as he could across Bennett's sides, and the unprepared boy started laughing again. Bennett could hardly pay attention to anything Razor was saying. He might have not found his death spot yet, but that didn't make the scribbling up and down his sides and ribs less ticklish.

"Dohohoho youhohohohor wohohohorst!" He challenged, though it was hard to sound at all defiant through his boyish laughter.

Razor did just that, scribbling down his sides now, slowing down the tickling to see if Bennett's laughter changed at all. His giggles grew more gentle along with the speed of Razors wiggling fingers. That's when he noticed that the closer to the middle of his torso he got, the more frantic Bennett's laughter seemed to get. He suddenly amped up the speed as he scribbled along his tummy.

"AHAHAH- OHOHOH MY GOHOHOD!"

"Yes! Found Bennett's spot!" Razor triumphantly shouted as he continued skittering his fingers all across his stomach, laughing along with him.

He decided to try a different technique and started kneading into his tummy like one would with dough. As he did so, Bennetts laughter turned hysterical, cackling now bouncing off the walls of the tent as his whole body shook with frantic laughter. He tried his best to keep his legs from kicking and his arms from flailing as Razor's fingertips brushed over every nerve, but he knew could only keep still for so long. He buried his face in his hands covering his silly grin as he shook his head back and forth. Still, as much as it tickled, he found himself not wanting to throw in the towel just yet.

He couldn't see through the tears of mirth filling his eyes, or through his hands covering his face, but Razor's grin was almost as big as his own. Razor found himself snickering along with his friend as he grew more and more squirmy. Who knew that tickling him would be just as fun as being tickled? As much as he was enjoying himself though, he knew that Bennett would soon need a break. Right on que, his squirming became more tired and sluggish and his laughter turned into lighter, mindless giggles. Bennett normally would be able to go much longer being tickled, but given the long trip they had taken and how late it was getting, he found himself drained of any energy he might have had, his laughter now no more than helpless giggles. He had officially been tickled silly.

"Ohohohohkay! Ihihi gihihihihihive! Nohohohoho mohohohohor!"

Immediately Razor stopped his tickling, and Bennett curled up into a ball as his tired laughter started dying down. Razor found himself feeling warm and fuzzy again, looking at just how giggly his friend still was.

"Bennett okay?" he asked, though he was still smiling like a fool.

"Yeah. I'll survive." he said through his remaining giggles. His sides ached as he curled further into himself.

As his laughs gradually died down, he found himself more tired than ever. He hadn't spent that much energy in a long time, and as he saw how low the fire had gotten he realized just how late it was getting. Though part of him felt like he could go back and forth ticking Razor and being tickled himself forever, the other part of him was saying it was finally time to tap out.

"Bennett have fun?" Razor asked, noticing the tired smile on the exhausted boys face..

"Y-yeah." He responded. He actually had a lot of fun. "I'm just REALLY tired now."

At that moment, Razor's own exhaustion caught up to him, and he let out a great yawn as he stretched up to the sky.

"Razor tired, too." He said sleepily.

Bennett couldn't hide his bashful smile as he admired how cute Razor was when he was tired and yawning. He snapped out of it quickly though, awkwardly clearing his throat.

"Well, I think I'll just put out the fire. We don't want to burn the forest down."

Right then a strike of lightning lit up the sky, and with a crash of thunder rain came pouring down over the campsite, immediately putting out their fire.

"Okay, those clouds were not there earlier." Bennett sighed in exasperation.

At least their tent seemed to be keeping upright and blocking out the water. Unfortunately it was suddenly much colder. Bennett shivered as he laid down once again. Razor was soon to follow though, once again laying against Bennett, this time in a warm embrace.

"Try not to tickle Bennett again." He said as he closed his eyes.

Gone was any of the shyness Bennett would have felt before being tickled near to death, instead he felt content as he closed his eyes and felt his friend's warmth wash over him, knowing that he wouldn't be cold tonight.

There would be many more tickle fights to come, but for now the two drifted off to sleep, awaiting their next big adventure in the morning.
