Chapter 25
“Sup?” Jason asked , leaning against the doorway. I slipped a jacket on, grabbing my phone before turning to face him. He stood there with a gentle smirk on his face.
“Sorry, I entirely passed out” I laughed, walking outside. Jason moved so that I could lock the door, tucking the key into my pocket.
“It’s fine, Joey” He slipped an arm around my waist as we walked to the car. “You need to give me directions on where to pick Mase up ok?”
“I figured” I said with a sigh. Jason quickly got on the highway, turning the radio on. I pushed his hand away, changing the channel to one that I liked.
“Since when have you listened to Ozzy Osbourne?” He asked with a laugh.
I shrugged “I don’t know. He’s not that bad I guess…”
“I do believe I tried to get you to listen to him and you called him ‘old and lame’” Jason smirked. I rolled my eyes
“Fine, fine. I’ll change the channel”
“Nah, leave it”
Neither of us spoke as he drove to the daycare aside from directions. We left the station on, nodding our heads to the beat of the music. Jason held my hand in his as he drove, rubbing circles with his thumb.
He pulled into the parking lot, leaving the care on “Go get him quickly, I’ll be waiting right here”
I pecked his cheek, getting out. “Be right back”
I shut the door, hurrying into the small building. I walked in, a blast of warm air hitting my face. The sound of laughter led caught my attention as I glanced over to see a circle of kids playing. They looked too young for Mason, most of them being around one.
I signed Mason out at the front desk, saying hello to the lady.
“Haven’t seen you in a while, honey” She smiled at me.
“Yeah, Mom’s been getting Mase a lot more.” I shrugged. She took the paper from me as I left, heading towards Mason’s room.
I peaked in, spotting him playing with a few boys by the trucks. Opening the door, I smiled to the teacher.
“Hey, Joey! Haven’t seen you around” She grinned, walking over to Mason. She bent down, whispering something in his ear. He glanced back, seeing me, a grin across his face. Mason dropped the truck, running over to get his shoes on.
I grabbed his coat, slipping it on him “Come on bud, Jason’s got the car running”
“Gae-son’s here?” Mason asked. I laughed, realizing I really needed to work on his J’s. Mason rushed, grabbing my hand and pulling me out.
I waved goodbye to his teacher as we quickly left the building, meeting Jason out front. Jason grinned as I buckled Mason in the backseat tightly, forgetting his car seat.
“Hey Mase!” Jason said “How was daycare?”
“Good” Mason said, nearly jumping up and down. I got into the passenger seat, buckling as Jason pulled out of the parking lot “I can write my name!”
“Really?” I asked, surprised “You must show us when we get home”
“Okay!”
Mason told us about the rest of his day as we got home. He gave us detail of everything that happened, including how Samantha held his hand at lunch time. I ‘awed’ at that, causing Mason’s face to get beat red.
“Is she your girlfriend, Mason?” Jason asked with a smirk.
He nodded proudly “Yup!”
“Awh!” I cooed, turning around to face him “My little brother’s growing up!”
His face reddened even more.
Jason parked the car at Cody’s house, getting out to get Mason. I met them at the door, opening it for them. Mason ran in, shouting Cody and Hannah’s name. He must’ve been excited to tell them that he could write his name now.
Jason motioned for me to go in first, closing the door behind us.
“Hey Mom, Cody” Jason said as we walked into the living room. He stood next to me, leaning against the door frame. Hannah smiled, struggling to wave with Mason jumping on her. Cody didn’t look up from the TV.
“Hey Joey,” Hannah smiled
“Hey Hannah” I returned
“So, Joey and I are going to go to the park, ok?” Jason asked. Hannah frowned, pursing her lips slightly.
“Isn’t it a little cold to be outside?”
“No…” Jason lied.
“Why don’t you two just stay here? I don’t want you getting sick”
Jason sighed “Can we go to the mall?”
“It’s a school night”
“But Mom…”
“What is so darn important that you two can’t just stay here tonight?” Hannah asked, growing irritated.
“Nothing. It’s just been a while since we’ve hung out…” He trailed off. I held back laughter looking at his face.
“You two talk nearly every night!”
“Hannah, please?” I asked quietly, knowing she couldn’t resist.
“No” Cody grumbled from the couch. “Just go find something to do”
Jason groaned, knowing it was useless to agree once Cody spoke. I grabbed his hand, pulling me after as we went upstairs. Jason trudged along, seeming incredibly upset by this.
I pulled him into his room, closing the door. He had long ago transformed the guest bedroom into his room. Every now and then it became my room when I slept over at Cody’s. Jason sat on the bed, staring at the floor.
I closed the door, leaning my back against it. “Come here”
He looked up curiously, walking over. Jason stood in front of me, a few inches taller. I grabbed at the collar of his shirt, meeting his eyes. “Don’t look so glum.”
He smirked down at me, moving his hands to my hips. Jason pressed his lips against mine, grinding my body into his. I pulled on his collar, making him lean down to kiss me. Jason nipped at my bottom lip, wanting more.
I pushed him away before we went too far “Our parents are downstairs”
He pushed me against the door “I don’t give a fuck”
I giggled “Jason stop”
“Joey” He groaned. “Come on”
I pushed him off me, moving away from the door. I trailed my fingers across his chest, walking over to his bed. I sat on it, leaning back in the pillows. Jason sat next to me, wrapping an arm around my waist.
“You’re too damned cute for your own good” He whispered in my ear.
I giggled, leaning my head on his shoulder “You’re one to talk”
“I got something really nice for you” He said, reaching into his pocket. My heartbeat sped up slightly
“Jase, we can’t do it here! Your parents will smell it!”
“Relax” He produced a poorly rolled joint, admiring it dearly “This is will get you higher than a fucking plane”
“Oh really?”
“Baby, I spent a hell of a lot on it. It’s the best out there”
I grinned, excited. Jason kissed my cheek, stuffing the joint back into his pocket.
“Just wait, babe” He whispered in my ear.
“Jason! Joey!” Hannah called from downstairs. I looked towards the doors “Dinner!”
Jason groaned next to me. I giggled, grabbing his hand and leading him out of the room. We walked downstairs, sitting at the dinner table.
~*~
For those who have never been stoned, it’s the experience of a life time. Everything is enhanced to levels only reached with drugs. Sight, sound, taste, desires…
Jason had always been one of the best people to get fucked up with. He was already one of the funniest people that I knew when he was sober, and being stoned only increased it. Of course, we never admitted that we liked each other before.
Now that we were in relationship status, the feeling only increased.
Jason passed me the last joint he had rolled. I noticed how it had decreased in half its size, but I made no comment of it. Jason hadn’t failed me; I had never been this high.
“You know” Jason said, looking at me curiously “Your hair looks like a mouse”
I giggled, taking a hit “No it doesn’t”
“Does too” He leaned over, picking up strands of my hair, making them dance. Jason moved my hair around, singing “I’m a little mousey in Joey’s hair. Weeee!”
I laughed, falling back on the grass. Jason and I had managed to convince Hannah and Cody to let us go outside for a little bit.
“Shut up, Jase” I pushed his hands away “I don’t want a damned mouse in my hair”
He pouted, falling onto my lap, head up “You’re a loser”
I stuck my tongue out at him. Jason reached up, pulling on my tongue. My eyes widened in surprise, as I tried to pull it back in.
Jason laughed, letting go. He wiped my saliva on my cheek.
I pressed the joint to my lips, inhaling again. I felt like my head was spinning in circles. I closed my eyes, leaning back.
“Whoops!” I squealed as I fell back onto the ground. Jason laid on my lap while my head laid in the cool grass.
Jason turned his head towards me, giggling.
“What?” I asked, confused
“Vagina!” He cracked up, clutching his stomach. If I wasn’t so high, I would’ve been embarrassed. But because my mind wasn’t in the same place, I giggled with him. Jason rolled on top of me, holding himself up above me. He placed a knee on either side of my hip, leaning his head down.
I grinned stupidly up at him, the ends of his hair tickling my face.
Jason began to nod his head side to side to an imaginary tune.
I mimicked him, cracking up in my spot.
Jason began to sing “Here’s a little song I wrote. You might want to sing it note for note”
“Don’t worry! Be happy!” I sang with him loudly. He hummed the interlude off-key, causing me to laugh.
“Don’t worry, be happy now!” Jason said in a ridiculously high-pitched voice. It wasn’t in the song at all, but it fit so perfectly with him. I snapped my fingers, trying to keep the beat, but failing.
Jason pressed his lips against mine.
Oh my gosh, I’d never felt something as amazing as in the moment our lips connected. It felt like I was tasting the rainbow… like skittles. I giggled into the kiss at that thought. Jason ignored that, molding his lips with mine.
He slipped his tongue into my mouth sloppily, not that I minded. Jason groaned loudly, causing me to giggle. His tongue danced with mine drunkenly as we tried to make sense of what was happening. Jason pulled back, a stupid grin on his face.
“You taste yummy”
I laughed.
Jason and I spent the remainder of our trip goofing off in the park. While the bud may have been the best I’d ever had, it didn’t last as long as others had. That didn’t matter as much, since we were indeed higher than a fucking plane.
Jason drove Mason and I home a few hours later, saying that I had felt ‘sick’. He was never one to drive after getting stoned, but did it nonetheless. Mason was practically asleep as soon as he pulled out, meaning we didn’t have to have a censored conversation.
I smiled, leaning back against the headrest “You know, you always get the best”
“You got that right” He smirked “Cost a fortune”
“How did you get it?”
“I know a guy”
I rolled my eyes. Jason would never reveal his secret, always insisting that he would be the one to buy the bud. I was perfectly content with that.
“You coming over tomorrow?” I asked quietly
“What’s tomorrow?”
“Mason’s birthday party”
“Oh right. Is that right after school?”
“Four, yeah” I nodded “He’s going to have a few of his friends from daycare over too so he’s excited”
“Of course I will be. Can Cody and Hannah come too?” Jason asked, double checking. There was a year that Mom had shown up drunk and demanded that Cody wasn’t allowed to come to Mason’s birthday party. It was disastrous, to say the least, and constantly brought up in conversations.
“Yeah, Mom promised to think about Mason and only Mason’s benefits and wants”
“I’m going to be a little late. Gotta go buy the little monster a present” Jason said, nodding his head back towards where Mason slept in the back.
“You don’t have too. He’s already getting more presents than before. And he’s three. He’ll be too absorbed in the balloons to care” I explained
Jason shrugged “I want to get him something. He still play with trucks?”
I nodded “You’re too kind”
He smirked, not responding. I didn’t push the conversation, satisfied where it stopped. It was silent as we drove on.
I gave Jason a goodnight kiss before walking into my house regretfully.
***Please don't give me crap about the chapter. I know a lot of you are innocent, but a lot of teens do this& I've been talking about it for a while. Thank you =]******
