2 weeks later

The Mehra family were arrested for fraud and smuggling through Mehra industry while Rajeev Mehra was arrested with charges of attempted murder and other illegal things that he has done behind the cover of Mehra industries.

It was supposed to be a happy time for everyone when everything was coming back on track, especially for sanyukta and samar who have struggled so much in life but that was not how anyone of them were feeling seeing rd sitting in front of the ICU for straight 15 days waiting for his father to wake up and hug him.

He has not talked to anyone except for karan who forced him to eat something, he had basically shut himself out from everyone including sanyukta and here sanyukta couldn't stop blaming herself for everything that has happened, she couldn't bring herself to go and talk to rd because all she felt right now was guilt and fear, she believes that it was all her fault for dragging rd into this mess and as she feared, at the end he got hurt and now she was hurting too.

Rd's tears has never dried, he was supposed to be strong and happy right now when everything was over but he was on the verge of losing his father when he just got him back and he couldn't help but to pray to go back in time and take that bullet himself. He knows that he looked like a mess right now but he could care less about his appearance when his dad was inside fighting for his life. He cant hear anyone or anything around him because his soul was inside that ICU room with his dad. He has no idea how many people came and talked to him if they did, or what karan was saying of forcing him to gulp down his throat. He just couldn't bring himself to concentrate.

Sanyukta and rest of the gang were now at parth's apartment for which vidhushi is still angry at him for not telling her about it or how he managed to buy it on the first place.

Sanyu-guys I need to go back to the hospital please

Vids-no sanyu you are not going before you eat something and freshen up

Sanyu-but vids, rd sir needs me

Vids-what are you even talking about? You haven't talked to him ever since we reached the hospital, you just sit beside him like some shadow, what wrong with you?

Hearing that sanyukta's face falls and her eyes start tearing up

Sanyu-what else am I supposed to do then vids? Tell him that I am sorry for what happened? No I cant utter that to him when he is about to lose his only family because of me and all I have for him is a stupid sorry which will not make any difference. I so wish to go back and take that bullet instead.

Parth-sanyu! Why would you even say that?

Sanyu-because that's how it should have been from the beginning, he shouldn't have talked to me, he shouldn't have cared for me or samar, he should have stayed away from us and I shouldn't have let him do all the things that he did. If it wasn't for all those things Harsh uncle would be fine right now an dRd sir would be happy.

She breaks down and the group of friends have no idea about what to say when they themselves don't know what to say or do because it was always rd who would find the right thing to say at the right time and now he was not here and no one knows how to bring him back, how to bring Harsh back.

Suddenly Parth's phone rings and everyone get alerted

Parth picks up the call

Parth-karan sir is everything ok

Karan-parth, is Rd with you guys

Parth-rd sir? No, he was at the hospital right?

Karan-he's not here, I went to get him something to drink and when I came back he was not here, I literally searched the whole hospital parth, he is not in his right mind right now(he was sounding really scared)

Parth-don't worry sir, we will find him

Sanyu-what happened?

Parth-rd sir is missing, we need to find him.

Hearing that sanyukta feels a shiver run down her spine, where he could be right now

Samar-what are we waiting, lets get going, we cant find rd sir just by standing here

It was his voice that broke the trance that everyone was seemed to be in

Dev-me and jiggy will go look in fite

Vids-me and parth will go look in H&R

They turn to look at sanyu who seems to be in her own world thinking something

Vids-sanyu(no response) sanyu(no response)

Vids goes and keeps a hand on her shoulder and that's when she comes out of the trance and sees that all the eyes were fixated on her.

Sanyu-I need to go somewhere guys, wait for my call and search for him, please.

With that being said she grabs her bag and runs out of the apartment, giving no heed to anyone's calls

She runs as fast as could through the busy streets and into the heart of the city where stands that big mall, Sanyal group of companies shining brightly in the night sky

She walks and tries to get into the front doors but it was locked as it was so late into the night. A guard comes when he sees sanyu lurking around

Guard-yes, what do you want?

Sanyu-I am looking for rd sir, please let me in, I just wanna make sure that he is fine

Guard-I am sorry mam I cant let you in without permission

Sanyu gives a frustrated sigh and then she thinks of something and calls vardhan sir and within seconds she was let in and she runs to rd's office on the top floor hoping and wishing to find rd but to her dismay, he was not there and her heart drops to her feet at her unsuccessful attempt.

But then her eyes fall on the stairs which leads to the terrace and without any thought she them and as soon as she reaches the last stairs, she sees the terrace door ajar and was swinging with the wind and she steps in with a heart running a marathon as she had no idea what she was going to say to the person she has grown to love with her full heart but had not talked for the past two weeks. Everyone thought that she was guilty and she was but more than the guilt she was afraid to see the hurt in rd's eyes or the words that might come out of his mouth once he talks. She was afraid to hear him blame her for everything. She was afraid to see anything other than love in those eyes.

She wipes the tears that escapes her eyes and moves towards the dark form sprawled on the cold concrete floor, she could hear the sniffles coming from him and some words like "I failed you mom", "I am sorry mom". Hearing that her heart shatters.

Rd, who has always been a pillar of support for everyone was now in this devastated state and it was killing her.

She hesitantly goes and sits near him and he turns to look at her and their eyes meet for the first time in two weeks or more like rd acknowledges her for the first time in two weeks.

They remain like that for god knows how long before another tear threatens to fall from rd's blood shot red eyes but sanyukta wipes it before it could touch his cheeks.

And that one touch was enough for rd to break, he buries his head in sanyu's lap and cries while sanyu holds onto him as if trying to root him, as if trying not to let him float away. They stay that way for so long that it felt like ages. She could hear her phone ringing but she don't wanted to disturb rd in any way. And finally he talks

Rd-my dad sanyu, my dad, I only have him sanyu, what will I do

Sanyu-shhh rd...nohing will happen and uncle will be fine but please don't cry, what will uncle say if he sees you like this. You have to be strong for him. You have to be his strong son right now.

He looks up at her and that's when she sees the young and scared child in him, that's when she realizes that he is young too, who is afraid of losing people he loves and he has lost as much as she has and he has more to lose.

She wipes his tears and hugs him again

Sanyu-lets be strong for him, huh?

Rd-I just want my dad back sanyu, please bring him back.

Sanyu-we don't have to bring him back rd, because he never left right, you just have to be there with him and stand next to him like you have stood with us. (she cups his face and wipes his tears and looks for his approval) ok?

Rd nods and sanyu immediately calls karan who was there in a flash and takes them back to shekhawat mansion even if rd protested a bit but later on he slept because of two weeks of sleepless nights and so much crying.

Karan-Sanyu I will take him to his room and please don't let him come to the hospital without a full stomach and a proper bath.

Sanyu-me?

Karan-yeah, I don't think he will listen to anyone else right now.

Sanyu-o-ok

Karan- I am going back to the hospital

Sanyu-karan

Karan-yes

Sanyu-what about you?

Karan(confused)-what about me?

Sanyu-even you have never left the hospital in two weeks

Karan(gives a sad smile)-I'll be fine sanyukta, they need me right now.

He was about to leave when sanyu calls him again and he looks back at her again

Sanyu-rd is very lucky to have you as a friend.

Karan-I know

Both of them share a small smile and then he leaves

Sanyukta sighs and decides to take refude on the elegant looking couch as dadi and dadaji were with vardhan sir at the moment and so the whole mansion was empty which gave her room to think or more precisely overthink.

She spends long hours thinking about everything that changed in her life once rd came walking. Everything changed for good in her life but what about rd. his peaceful life got disrupted just because she let him become a part of her messy life.

Sanyu-would things have been different if we never met. Was it a mistake?

She asks herself but this time she receives a reply

Rd-nothing was a mistake sanyu

She sits up on the sofa to see rd who was all clean and dressed in a new pair of jeans and tshirt

Sanyu-rd...sir(she looks away from him)

Rd-look at me sanyukta

Saying that he walks towards her and tries to hold her hand but she flinches away

Sanyu-I am sorry sir

Rd-for what?

Sanyu-for everything, its all because of me, only of you never met me on the first place, things would have been different now, everything would have been perfect for you. Harsh Uncle would have been fine.

She wipes the tears that threaten to leak from her eyes and looks at him

Sanyu-us meeting was a mistake

She turns around to walk away but rd holds onto her hand and turns her back to face him

Rd-us meeting was not a mistake and I'll prove that to you and another thing sanyukta, don't you dare try to leave me because I am not letting you go.
