Another week has passed and living at vd's house made both sanyu and samar feel at home, for the first time in the sibling's life they would look forward to come back home because a third person was waiting for them, usually with a maroon apron tied around his torso and a chef's hat on the top of his head along with a spatula in his hand and a pleasant smile on the face and the smell of the freshly made food was the cherry on the top for them.

They never thought that living at a strangers house would be this easy but looks like they were never strangers and sanyu thought with a smile that maybe it was in their blood to make them feel at home because most of their vd uncle's gestures were similar to that of rd. And she had started to believe what vidhushi had been repeating like a broken record that rd and she were meant to meet.

But today as both the siblings enter the threshold of the giant mansion, it came as a shock to them that they their vd uncle was engrossed in some files and rd was on the opposite sofa doing the same

But the silence in the room was broken by a happy shriek which escaped samar's mouth on seeing rd there and in no time he was straddling a laughing rd

Rd-its good to see you too champ(ruffling his hair)

Vd-someone forgot my hug

Samar makes a fake pout while coming down from rd's lap and goes to give vd a big hug with a real smile

Sanyu was really happy to finally see her brother getting the love he deserved, it wasn't like she didn't love him enough but she knew, no matter how hard she tried she could never be enough as a mother and a father, eventhough he never showed it before but she knew, he wanted someone to guide him like a father would do and today, his laughter was the proof that rd has filled that void

Vd-oh sanyukta...its good that you came early...me and rd had something to discuss with you both

She nods and sits next to samar who was now sitting next to rd

Vd-ok, so its just a suggestion that rd came up with but I personally think that it's a really good one, so the thing is

He pauses for a second to look at rd who was fidgeting with his own fingers

Vd-so the thing is, rd thinks that it would be safe for samar if he stays away from here

It was not sanyukta but samar who spoke up

Samar-as in

Vd-he suggested to send you abroad to continue your studies, so that they could not reach you for the time being and once everything is settled down and if you don't want to continue with your college studies there you could always come back

Sanyukta was weighing her options, keeping samar here means keeping him prone to danger whereas sending him away from her means he is safe and can actually be happy for real and she cant be selfish and keep him with her only to put him in danger but how was she to manage all the expenses, but if its for samar, she could ask for help from her friends, even she thought that it was actually the best thing to do

But before sanyukta could say anything, they all hear samar saying his answer in a decisive way

Samar-I am not going anywhere

Sanyu-sa...

Samar-I AM NOT GOING

He spares a final glare at rd and literally runs upstairs

The trio look at his retreating figure and then sanyu gives a defeated sigh

Vd-I guess...saying that it was your idea didn't work this time(looking at rd)

Rd-he has got his priorities set mamu...he knows what he wants, I knew, it wont work like that

Sanyu looks at both of them confused

Rd-ahh...actually, mamu was the one to think about it and thought that samar would agree if we say that it was my idea, but I knew that none of you would agree...bu.

Sanyu(cutting him off)-I am ok with it

Rd(looks at sanyu with a shocked expression)-really?

Sanyu-I mean...if it means that samar will be safe then that's all I could ask for

Rd smiles at her

Vd-that's all good but the main problem is still with samar not agreeing to it

Sanyu-I'll talk to him

Saying that she stands up and walks up the stairs to talk to samar

She reaches his door and could hear some shuffling coming from inside, which means he was pissed and was right now shuffling through his box of books

Sanyu-samar

Samar-di, if you are here to talk to me about THAT then I am not interested

Sanyu-ok fine, but open up first

Samar-not gonna, because I know that you are here to convince me

Sanyu(sighs)-samar please, it's the best for you and for your safety

Suddenly she hears the click of the door and the door knob turns to reveal a fuming samar

Samar-damn my safety di...I don't care

Sanyu(stern)-language samar and why, you always wanted to go abroad to study just like rd sir, what happened now?

Samar-yeahhh....but that was before I came to know about everything, everything that you kept from me as a secret

Sanyu(sighs)-samar, I did that for your good

Samar(scoffs)-yeah right.....i cant believe that rd sir came up with something like this

Sanyu(sighs)-he didn't, it was vd uncle, he just thought that if he will say that it was rd sir's idea then you will agree

She had no idea why but she couldn't take samar misunderstanding rd and she always blurts out the truth

Samar-well obviously it didn't work and why would he use rd sir as a bait...arrgh

He turns around and walks back in, to his box of books and starts rummaging again, sanyukta was about to follow when a hand on her shoulder stops her, she turns her head to see rd standing there shaking her head in a no as if stopping her from going in

Rd-give him some time, he is angry and he wont understand any reason that we will provide him with....i will talk to him after some time

Sanyu just sighs and nods....then she walks towards her room, while rd takes a peek at samar who was smiling at a book which he has found after digging through the boxes

Rd chuckles and goes back downstairs

Here Natasha was now all fine and busy at her work when her phone rings

Natasha-hello

Caller-hello, is this Natasha Gill

Natasha-yes, who is this?

Caller-heyy...hi, its me avantika...remember? We met at the hospital and then on the road, I bumped into you

Natasha(chuckles)-I remember, you could have said that you are karan's friend

Avantika-well...

Natasha-anyways...why did you call

Avantika-ahh....yes, actually I wanted your help...it happens that I suddenly have a dinner meeting to attend and aveer's babysitter left last week and I couldn't think of anyone else but you, so could you pls babysit him, pls. And don't worry about your pay...we can settle it just the way you want.

Natasha-yeah sure...that's fine by me

Avantika-thanx a lot, I know that you work at supermarket so, as soon as your shift is over...I will drop him there, he is with me right now

Natasha-its ok, just tell me where is your office, I will pick him up

Avantika-are you sure?

Natasha-yes, that way, we will get some bonding time

Avantika-perfect...I'll message you the address

Natasha-ok...bye

Avantika-bye..and thank you so much

Natasha-no problem

They hang up

After 3 hours of waiting, rd finally decides to talk to samar and knocks at his door and in an instant the door flungs open

Samar-di, I am so sorry....oh rd sir

Rd-can we talk champ?

Samar nods and opens the door wider, so that he could enter

Rd goes and sits on his bed and samar follows the same action

Rd takes the book that samar was reading and smiles

Rd-how far have you reached?

Samar-just started

Rd-its really good

Samar-I know, you were the one to give this to me

Rd(chuckles)-right, look samar, I really don't know how to beat around, so let me ask you, why?

Samar-I just don't wanna go

Rd-you wont tell me?

Samar(sighs)-how can I leave di alone here...when that man is always trying to harm her, every chance he gets

Rd-she is not alone samar...we all are here

Samar-yes but...I just cant leave her here because of my selfishness

Rd-I know that you love your sister so much and she loves you too bt don't you think, that she will be more happy if you were to be a little bit selfish and take the opportunity to fulfill not only yours but your sister's dream as well

Samar-i...i

Rd-don't you trust me?

Samar looks at rd with wide eyes

Samar-ofcourse I trust you, why wont I trust you

Rd-don't you trust me with your sister

Samar-do you love her?

Now it was rd's turn to look shocked and his expression was kind of funny for samar to not laugh at because, rd's eyes were as wide as saucers which were about to pop out any time soon and his jaw was nearly touching the floor, samar clears his throat and that's when rd comes back to his senses

Rd(whisper)-what?

Samar-if you tell me the truth, I'll think about it...I mean I should know, on what terms I am leaving my sister with you, if you are willing to take a bullet for her or you will chicken out at the end

Rd was shocked at this new samar, I mean, he knew that samar loved his sister so much but never thought that, that love will change him into a military commander, guess that's why people say that you should be scared of a girl's brother, no matter if he is elder or younger

Rd-i.....i

Samar-its either you speak the truth or we are through with the discussion

Rd was thinking...how it started with him trying to convince samar and now he is forced into confessing....but rd know that he will just do that if it means the boy standing in front of him whom he considers as his own little brother gets to live a better life, a life he deserves

Rd(sighs)-I do....i really do love her...I love her so much that I wont thin twice to give up my life for her and I will protect her with everything that I have

Samar's smile couldn't get any wider and he literally jumps on rd

Samar-oh my god....this is the best thing that I have ever heard in my whole my...thank you so much sir

Rd smiles at samar who was back to being the little cheery fluff ball that he was

Rd-just don't tell her ok

Samar-ofcourse I wont tell her, I want you to man up and tell her yourself

Rd(chuckles)-I will

Samar-ok then....i am ready to go to new York

Rd-really

Samar nods

Rd-that's amazing...I'll let them know

Samar-but really sir, I don't think I have ever said this but thank you so much for everything, specially for dropping my sister home that night

Rd smiles and places a kiss on his hair

Rd-I am glad that I did

Here Natasha reaches avantika's office but as soon as she reaches, she felt self councious about her own appearance, and to top that all...she was on her bicycle

Natasha-arrgh....i should have taken the bus

She reaches the front of the building where avatika was waiting with aver

Avantika-ahh....hi(tehn she looks at her bicycle) are you sure you can take him on you bicycle, I mean if you want I can drop you both home

Natasha(chuckles)-I am sure and I promise I wont drop him

Aver-wow, I am going on this...yohooo, mommy leave

He was trying to free his hand from avantika's grip

Avantika-I just hope that he wont jump off

Natasha-I promise that he will be safe

Avantika-ok, I trust you

She hands over the bag and aver to her and Natasha makes him sit on her front basket which was a delight to the little chubby boy who was shouting in his cute little puppy fur onesie with its hoodie having puppy ears

Aveer-wohooooooooooooooo

Avantika-ok take care and aveer behave and Natasha pls call me as soon as you reach home

Natasha-ok sure

She starts paddling and talking to aveer who was sitting in the basket facing her

Here karan was on his way to his house when he sees them

Karan-wait...wasn't that Natasha and what was that thing in the basket? Don't tell me that the girl who cant take care of herself has adopted a puppy

He turns his car to follow them

Ok guys....how was it?
