Here Karan reaches back at the hospital and rushes to the room where Natasha was

As soon as he enters he sees Natasha sitting on her bed and having her soup, she lifts her head to look at him and gives him cheeky embarrassed smile

Natasha-hey

Karan-hey? Hey? You know what, f*ck that hey....i literally died with all the worst possibilities going through my mind and you f*cking dehydrated yourself to death, what was going through your pea sized brain to not attempt and call someone, anyone

Natasha-ok now that's enough, listen Mr.Playboy, I had no idea that you would even think about me and I had bloody 104 degree fever, I couldn't even turn around on my bed, how do you expect me to actually step out of my bed to get some water and lastly, who should I call, I am a literally abandoned child about whom no one cares

Karan goes near her bed and cups her cheeks to make her look into his eyes

Karan-if not anything else, get one damn thing into you pea sized brain and that is the fact that I do care, so next time something, anything happens, you call me, hell, keep me on speed dial, you get that.

Natasha(still looking into his eyes)-but why?

That was the question he was asking himself in his mind for the past one week and he wasn't able to come up with a satisfactory answer, so he decided to say what was at the tip of his tongue at the moment

Karan-because you looked after me when I needed someone the most

With that both of them break their eye contact and karan releases her face and she starts to resume eating her soup, which was being stirred and not eaten at the moment

Karan-where is raj?

Natasha-oh, Dr.Raj went on his rounds, he said that he will be back in an hour, which now means that(looking at the clock) he will be back in 15 mins

Karan-right

After 15 mins

Raj walks into the room followed by a nurse

Raj-hey Natasha, how are you feeling now

Natasha-wayyyyyy much better

Raj-good

He instructs the nurse about some medications and then looks at karan, who was looking rather tired

Raj-hey karan, my rounds are over, wanna get a coffee

Karan-you know what, that's an amazing idea (to Natasha)-I'll be back

Natasha nods and they leave, they reach the cafeteria and take a seat with most of the staff wishing raj on the way

Raj-so what was the urgent matter?

Karan-yaar, it was parth, he got into trouble, I mean not like intentionally but you know vidhushi's father got him tangled into some case, luckily it was just a hoax, otherwise vidhushi could have thrown a fit

Raj-so all fine now? Where is vidhushi? Under house arrest?

Karan-nah...she is at my house with parth and sanyukta, virat got(he trails off and looks up at raj)

Raj was trying so hard to mask his emotion, as he does everytime, but karan could see something twitch in his facial expression which means a bigger stir was happening inside him

Raj-its ok karan, its not like that name is a taboo....you can talk

Karan-I am sorry yaar

Raj-cmon yaar....as I have said before, the fact that we are not together doesn't means it should affect your friendship in anyway, I just don't understand how he comes into the picture though

Karan(clears his throat)-amm, you don't know? That's strange

Raj-what?

Karan-that vidhushi is his younger sister

Raj-ahh right, that's why she looked so familiar the first time I met her, anyways its not strange at all when he had never talked about his family at all

Karan could see the sadness taking over his facial expression after thinking of those memories

Karan-you do know that, all of that from that day was fake, right?

Raj gives a sad smile

Raj-that doesn't changes the fact that he wanted to hurt me and he was successful in doing that

Karan(sighs)-raj...we all know how both of you are living after that....you literally just live in this hospital while he just stays stuffed in that house of his.

Raj-nothing was my decision, he was the one to make them all....what do you expect me to do karan....i cant do anything when he doesn't want it(long sigh)anyways....we are not here to talk about the past, tell me why do you look so tired when everything is fine now

Karan-nothing....i just got really tensed when I heard about parth, this is the second time something like this is happening, you remember that day he was shot

Raj(shocked)-that was his father too

Karan-yeah...

Raj-now that's serious

Karan-I know right

Raj-don't worry, everything will be fine

Karan-I hope so

They drink their coffees in silence and when they were done and going back to natasha's room, karan decides to say something, he wanted to tell raj since a few years

Karan-you know raj, he did all of that to keep you safe, so that he wont see you go through things parth is going through now

Raj just looks at him for some time and a lone tear which tried to escape his eyes was harshly rubbed away by him and with a deep intake of breath he says

Raj-it was not only his decision to make, I was supposed to be a part of his life, it was supposed to be OUR decision

With that raj decides to go to his cabin instead while karan sighs and goes back to the room

Here the trio of rd, virat and samar was back along with others and they all were happily chomping on the slices of pizzas

And sanyu was amazed to see that the crusts left behind by samar was being consumed by rd everytime without any hesitation and samar was being treated like a kid by rd because every second bite of rd's pizza slice was without any doubt samar's

Samar-sir, you didn't buy any chocolate tarts

Samar pouts at rd which was something he never does with anyone else(well there are a lot of things exclusively for rd, right?)

Rd chuckles and ruffles his hair before reaching into another packet to pull out another smaller box of chocolate tarts

Samar(smiling widely)-you never forget anything

Rd-how can i

Samar tackles rd into a hug and everyone else just laughs along with rd and samar

Vids-where is karan?

Rd-ahh...I called him up, he has got some work so he won't be able to make it

Vids-hmmm

That's when rd's phone rings and he excuses himself to go out and sanyukta notices that he left without his jacket while it was chilling cold outside

She hurriedly grabs the coat and follows him

Rd-yes mr.gupta.....really, that's amazing....yes we can sign that tomorrow....yeah first thing in the morning....well done Mr. Gupta

His smile was even wider after he hangs up, he was about to turn around but stops when he feels something warm wrap around his torso, he turns to see sanyukta draping his coat over his shoulder

Sanyu looks up at him and soon turns away

Sanyu-i....i...it is cold and you left without your coat...so i..

Rd-thank you sanyukta

She nods

Sanyu-I'll go help them clean up

She was about to turn and walk away when rd holds onto her wrist and stops her

She looks at his hand holding onto her and then looks up at him and waits for him to speak because she could see that he wanted to say something

Rd-I did not read that file sanyukta, I would never do that to anyone, and particularly not to you and samar....i will never do anything to hurt him or you, pls trust me sanyukta, I never did any research on you, I never wanted to.

She slowly wraps her other hand around his. which was holding onto her wrist

Sanyu-I know and I am sorry sir that I accused you of something you didn't do....after I saw that file....i just couldn't think of anything else other than the fact that you also pitied me for my past, I can take everything, disgust, anger anything but I cant stand people pitying me, and I forgot the fact that if anything, you are the only person that I could trust with my life, with samar's life....i am really sorry sir...i...(her voice breaks)

Rd looks up to see that a few tears has made their way down her cheeks, so he cups her face and makes her look at him

Rd-hey, hey, hey....its ok sanyukta(he rubs her cheeks with the pads of his thumb) and trust me, I can never pity you, you don't deserve to be pitied because you are the most powerful and independent women that I've ever seen, you have done everything on your own, you have become such an amazing engineer and look at samar, he is growing up into a perfect gentleman and all because of you and the best thing is, you never compromised with samar's studies....no matter how much you were struggling, why would anyone pity you

After hearing those words from someone made her feel proud of herself for the first time in her whole slife and this made her weeps turn into sobs

Rd was the first person to actually see what she was, and how she wanted to be seen, he saw through all those struggles of her and found the real her

As he hears her sob increase, he engulfs her into a bear hug, wrapping his coat around her as well

Rd-shhhh.....its ok, everything is fine

Sanyu-thank you so much for being there for all of us

Rd-thank you for letting me be sanyukta

As always she felt at home in his arms and his warmth and his scent was calming her racing heart

Sanyu-I think I really do want you in my life, but I am not good enough for you

As soon as that thought comes to her mind she tightens her grip around him

Even though sanyukta was engrossed in her own thoughts, rd heard the door opening and so he slowly takes sanyukta's hands that were wrapped around his waist and distances himself from her, she looks up at him confused while he wipes her tears and drapes his coat around her and that's when they hear dev, and sanyukta understood his actions..

Dev-hey sanyu....(he looks at both of them and then sanyukta's tear stricken face comes into his notice and he hurriedly walks to her) sanyu, you ok?

Sanyu-I am fine dev, I'll go and help them clean up(she looks at rd for which he nods and this exchange didn't go unnoticed by dev)

Sanyu walks away and rd gives dev a genine smile

Rd-how is your work going dev?

Dev-its pretty fine

There was an awkward silence before Dev speaks up

Dev-I hope you know what you are getting yourself into

Rd was confused at first but soon realizes that he was talking about sanyukta

Rd-I can assure you that

Dev-she has gone through a lot and I don't want her get hurt anymore

Rd-I will never do that

Dev-that's good to hear and pls know your limits when it comes to her

Rd looks at him and smiles while dev stands there with a straight face

Rd-sanyukta is lucky that she has friends like you

He places his hands on his shoulder and squeezes it lightly and then turns to walk in

Rd-you coming in

Dev(sighs)-I'll be, in a few minutes

Rd pats his shoulder and walks in closing the door behind him

Dev-what am I even doing....arrrrrgh(he pulls at his own hair and shouts towards the starry night sky).
