Vd was looking at sanyukta shocked while she gives a warm smile towards him which he unintentionally ignores because of his thoughts so rd keeps his one hand on his shoulder which brings him back from his thoughts

Rd-mamu

Vd(coming out of his thoughts)-ahh yes rd

Rd signals towards sanyukta who was smiling and extending her hand which had a badge in it

Sanyukta(trying once again)-hello sir, welcome to sparx-2018

Vd(finally smiling)-thank you

He takes the badge and attaches it to his coat

Rd lastly gives a wide grin and moves in

Samaira(girl along with sanyukta)-I think its all done, all the guests are in, lets go sanyukta

Sanyu-my plus one hasn't arrived yet,why don't you go in first

Samaira-ok, come fast

Here as soon as karan was driving out of the drive way, he spots her again, Natasha struggling with the end of her mint green dress which was struck in the pole, he looks through the tinted window at her, she looked different from when he saw her the first time or the second time, that dark red lipstick being the highlight, that flowing mint green dress whose one end was stubbornly held by the pole was flowing with the wind along with her smooth silky hair which were now left loose unlike everyday, she grunts pulling at the dress hard yet trying not to tear it, she scoffs

Natasha(shouting at the pole)-why don't you just eat it then

Karan chuckles, turns off the engine and steps out of the car

Karan(walking towards her)-I don't think shouting will help here

She looks up with a sheepish but cute grin

Natasha-oh its you

Karan-yeah that would be karan

Natasha-right(still pulling at it)

Karan-some help there

Natasha-I would appreciate that

Karan looks at the material which was twishted around the nail protruding out of the pole, after examining for a few seconds he effortlessly pulls it off the nail

Natasha looks at him with her mouth wide open

Natasah-how....how did you do that

Karan-not everything can be solved with a temperament

Natasha-right, thank you

Karan-your welcome, so how are you here since I know that you cant be a part of the alumni or the part of the student volunteers

Natasha-ahh..i am as a plus one, what about you, under which category you come

Karan-just as yours, so whose plus one are you

Natasha-well a friend, a childhood friend whome I met after 2 years

Karan-he/she has got a name

Natasha-you wouldn't know her

Karan-try me

Natasha-Sanyukta Aggarwal

Karan-you are sanyukta's friend?

Natasha-you know her?

Karan-yes I do

Natasha(looking ahead)-there she is

That's when karan realizes that he has walked with Natasha upto the entrance of the party which he was leaving, she starts walking but stops when she sees that he wasn't

Natasha-you aren't coming

He looks hesitantly at Natasha and then at sanyukta and back at Natasha

Karan-you betcha

Saying that he moves towards the yacht and sanyu welcomes them and gives them both the badges and she herself enters with them

Sanyukta-I thought you weren't coming

Karan-well I wasn't but then I changed my mind

Sanyukta-that's good to hear

Karan smiles

Sanyukta-thanx for coming nats

Natasha-well I can do this much for you

Sanyukta gets called by someone and she goes from there

The function starts with a welcome speech from the dean followed by some other speeches and then the party officially starts

Everyone was either dancing or eating and were meeting their old friends, sanyukta was looking at all this when someone taps at her bare shoulder and she turns to see dev who was smiling at her

Dev-hello beautiful

Sanyu(smiling)-hi dev, where were you this whole day

Dev-sorry I couldn't help with all this, I got a little busy

Sanyu-that's fine, is everything fine

Dev-yep perfectly fine

Sanyu(confused)-ok

He was acting different from his actual self, he sounded nervous and he was every now and then scratching the back of his neck

Dev-ammm sanyu..i wanted to ask you something

Sanyu-whats it dev?

Dev-i....i...

But before he could say something both of them get called by vids to where rd and vd were standing along with the rest of the group

Sanyu-cmon dev

Dev gives a irritated scoff but follows her, as soon as they reach, vids says

Vids-sanyu, this is vardhan uncle, rd sir's uncle

Sanyu-hello sir, I am sanyukta Aggarwal

Vd-hello sanyukta

Vids-and uncle that's dev

Vd-hello dev

Both of them shake hands, they were all engrossed in their talks when someone announces that it was time for the dance

Vids sees that dev was about to ask sanyukta, so she steps in and asks him instead, for which he half heartedly says a yes and takes her to the dance floor, left behind were sanyukta, rd and vardhan, sanyukta was looking at everyone getting ready to dance that's when vardhan clears his throat

Vd-sanyukta, you don't like to dance?

Sanyu(turning to him with a smile)-I am not sure if I know

Vd-rd here is a very good dancer(sanyu just smiles while rd looks at vd as if knowing where this conversation was heading)why don't you two give it a try

On hearing that rd looks away while sanyu looks shocked

Sanyu-but...he is our professor

Vd-are you not allowed to dance with your professors?

Sanyu-no..i mean not like that

Vd-then go ahead, he will teach you, wont you rd

That's when rd looks up only to glare at his uncle, which his handsome uncle, efficiently ignores and continuous

Vd-wont you rd

Rd-sure

Saying that he forwards his hands for sanyu to take, but then she hesitantly takes his hand and he starts walking towards the dance floor, he takes her on hand and keeps it on his shoulder and he snakes his other hand around her waist for which he finds her tense up and the he asks for her to take his other hand and they slowly start twirling with the music and sanyu would step on your feet every now and then for which she would apologize with her cheeks red with embarrassment and he would say a simple its ok which he meant

They were done with the second song but dev comes and asks if he could dance for the next song with sanyukta and so they switch

Here karan was looking at avantika from afar who was talking with her friends while her son was on her lap eating something, she looked beautiful as always and her smiles looks intoxicating as ever, he was busy looking at her that he didn't see Natasha coming to him with two glass of juices in her hand

Natasha-isnt that your ex

That's when karan diverts his gaze to look at her

Karan(takes the glass and starts drinking totally ignoring her question)-thanx

Natasha-why did you guys break up

Karan-one day she loved me and the next day she didn't anymore

Natasha-you didn't ask for a reason

Karan-asked? I begged for one.

Natasha-hmmm

Karan-so whats your story, medical college dropout?

Natasha-one day my dad was rich the next day he wasn't and ended up having a stroke, I had work for the ends to meet and for my father's treatment while my mother stays at the hospital with my father

Karan-I am sorry

Natasha-nah.....even thought I got used to the sympathy people show me, I would wish that you won't especially on such an amazing night

Karan-I wasn't sympathizing

Natasha-hmmmm

Karan-is he getting better?

Natasha-nothing, just the same

Karan-hmmm

Both of them wander off to the thoughts they shared with each other

The dance was over and now rd was standing on the secluded corner of the yacht staring at the starry night sky, he was about to move but he hears a familiar voice from the other side

Sanyu-what is it dev

He hears a nervous dev's voice

Dev-I wanted to ask you something

Sanyu-what happened, is everything alright

Dev(clearing his throat)-amm....sanyu...i...we...we have known each other since a long time....

He was blabbering on and on

Rd didn't intend to eavesdrop but her end up doing so imagining where this blabber was heading to and he said it...he said what rd thought he would

Dev-I love you sanyukta, will you be my girlfriend

There she was standing there staring at him with wide eyes

Dev-sanyu......sany

Sanyu(coming back to reality)-huh...dev...i...

Dev(cutting her off)-you don't have to give me an answer right away...you can think over it tonight and give me an answer tomorrow

Without allowing her to say anything he kisses her forehead and leaves and she stood there registering everything that happened

Here rd was feeling different things, but to top all of his feelings were annoyance, annoyance over the fact that she didn't refuse him right away.

He walks away from there into the crowed and spots his mamu talking over the phone, as soon as he sees rd, he walks to him and tells him that he has to leave and another car will pick him up so rd don't have to bother and vd leaves

The party was now at full swing and rd didn't see any of sanyukta and he somehow didn't want to coz he knew if he sees her, he would end up asking her something which he shouldn't, so he leaves the party earlier, yes he leaves from there.

Slowly the people start to leave and finally everyone left leaving only the volunteers and staff members to clean up

Sanyukta was trying hard to avoid dev, she wasn't ready for this, she knew that he had feelings for her and if it was 3 years earlier when he had said this she would have been the happiest girl in this whole universe but now it was different, her priorities has changed her life has changed, her life now is a mess which she have no way to get out of and so she can't just get into another mess, so she decides that she would wait for a day and then tell him a "no" .

They were all done by 1:00 am

Where did rd sir go...was the first thought she had when she didn't see rd among the staff members, she wanted to see him, why? Well she don't know either...she just wanted to but to her dismay he wasn't there...he was gone

She huffs when she gets into vidhushi's car

When vidhushi starts driving, she realizes that she haven't told her that she is now temporarily living at karan's house and so she does only to be bombarded by millions of questions

Vids-oh my god sanyu..this much happened and you didn't care to tell

Sanyu-I am sorry vids

Vids-I'll find an apartment somewhere safe for you, ok, till then stay with rd bhai

Sanyu-hmmm

She just nods, she was tired and sleepy and finally they reach karan's house and she see's vidhushi leave and then slowly enters the house only to see rd sleeping on the couch still in his tuxedo and the tv a running

She first turns off the tv and as soon as it is turned off, rd's eyes flutter open due to the lack of noise

Rd(sleepy voice)-sanyukta?

Sanyu-yes sir

She comes to stand in his view and the light from the open kitchen falls as the lights in the living room were switched off, she still looked stunning but her eyes looked tired

Sanyu-is samar home

Rd-no karan called me, they both are staying at the hospital with parth

Sanyu-ohh

She realizes that they were alone just she and him

Sanyu-good night sir

She turns to leave but she was stopped by the hold on her wrist, just that hold and her heart started beating a marathon, it was going to explode, she thought

She slowly turns to look at rd now standing tall in front of her, she looks at him confused and scared

Rd-I know that I will get murdered after this but if I don't right now...I will die for sure

She didn't understand him at first but when his hands move to cup her cheeks she knew what was about to happen and she must not allow anything like this to happen but she does nothing to stop him other than to close her eyes and they meet...finally their lips touch

They were kissing
