Saturday morning

Rajeev was sitting in his hotel room sipping his morning coffee thinking of something, his train of thoughts were broken by the knock at the door and in comes his mom's secretary

Rajeev-yes uncle, did you find her

Secretary-she is living at this address (passing on a file to him)

Rajeev-did you tell mom that you've found her

Secretary-no sir not yet, as you asked me to tell you first about it

Rajeev-good, don't tell her yet, I have some things to settle with this bitch.

Secretary-but sir...mam said...

Rajeev(stopping him mid sentence)-shhh....i'll tell you what to do next, you may leave now and mom should not hear about this(showing his the file)-until I say so, got it?

Secretary-yes sir

He leaves and Rajeev looks out through the floor to ceiling window of his hotel room and sips on his coffee

Rajeev-I've found you Sanyukta(smirks)

Here after a week of rest and scolding from dadi, rd was all fit and fine and back to college, in the two days that he had spent at the hospital, on his last day, whle of Sanyukta's gang came to see her and he was pleased that no one in college was aware of his condition because he didn't want that grim looking but caring nurse to throw a fit about the whole college coming to her ward, but he kind of loved to see them there and even Samar was with them and he was really excited about his project presentation the next Friday, even rd was excited because if Samar wins, he'll get a sponsorship by his company which can definitely fulfill Samar's and his sister's dream.

As usual Rd running down the steps and was about to run out of the house carrying his bag of clothes, yes he was leaving yet again, he stopped and gave in to his dadi's threat and stayed back until he was completely ok, but he still was angry at his dad, even more than before and he cant forget how he made him leave the farm house, ofcourse he was angry because he was his son. If he can be stubborn, so can his son

He was about to walk through the door when he hears harsh calling his

Harsh-where do you think you are going with that bag of yours

Rd-I don't have a need to explain that to you

Harsh-oh really?

Rd-Dadi, I am leaving

Dadi comes from the kitchen, but before she could protest, harsh speaks, this time with a fatherly affection that she had not seen in him for a while other than when rd was in hospital unconscious and Harsh was caressing his son's hair just like he used todo when rd was way too younger and would catch a cold.

Harsh-you had your breakfast?

Rd knows that his father was trying hard not to show his soft side to his stubborn son, because he hates to loose to him, may it be golf or situations like these, but rd already knew what he was not showing, Back at the hospital he had felt his dad's caring hands caressing thought his hair and how he had kissed his forehead as if he was his 5 year old child, rd missed this affection of his dad, but he was not going to forget what his dad did to him, not anytime soon.

Rd-no,I'll have it with karan

Dadi-beta, come and eat first

Rd-dadi pls karan is waiting for me at the restaurant,I'll eat breakfast,I promise, you can call karan and ask,I am getting late for college,and I'll be staying at karan's

Dadi gives her old yet handsome son a side glance who was really lonely with his wife dead and his only son being cold to him, but she was at the same time really proud of him for loving his wife so much that to keep a promise he made to her, he had made his only son hate him. She could see that he wanted to say something and stop her over the more stubborn grandson from leaving this house but he knew that him saying anything wont faze his son, but to dadi's surprise her son's lips twirled into a smirk and he speaks through that smirk

Harsh-you know that I cant travel, right...but it takes me leaving from here to make you stay, then I am more than happy to leave.

Dadi couldn't believe that her son was blackmailing his son with his illness and she involuntarily smiles and she looks at her grandson and his handsome features were showing the same shock on his face

Rd-really? Now you are trying to blackmail me?

Harsh-who said that I am blackmailing, I am just telling you the fact

Rd-really, if you don't remember, you were the one who told me to leave

Harsh-I never said that rd

Rd-yes you did " if you are going to behave like that, then its better that you leave" were your exact words

Harsh-you were behaving immaturely

Rd-I BLOODY DAMN LOST MY MOM, HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO BEHAVE WHEN I DIDN'T EVEN GET A CHANCE TO LOOK AT HER FOR THE LAST TIME

Harsh-that was for your own good rd

Rd(laughs)-MY GOOD, you know what Mr. Harsh, my good was gone along with my mom, and you know what? I am living for my mom, not for anyone else, specially not for you

Dadi-RD! Is this how you talk to your father?

Harsh-its ok maa, when your children grow over you, its too late to tell them what to do.

Rd turns and leaves from there

Dadi-beta, why don't you tell him

Harsh-its better this way

Dadi-NO ITS NOT, look at you, you know that you want your son by your side, but still you are saying that its better this way

Harsh-pls maa, I don't anymore strength left to have a second round of argument, lets just eat breakfast

Here rd eats his breakfast with karan and then leaves for the college

He was walking though the corridor and was very happy to see his students wishing him and smiling towards him, he loved the vibes of this place, he loved how he was always welcome here.

The bell rings indicating the start of the first period and he walks into the classroom only to be greeted by and overly excited bunch of female students and a pleased bunch of male students, well there were some who don't like him but he was not here to make everybody like him, it was not humanly possible to do something that would make each and everyone him

Rd-hello everyone

Everyone-hello sir

Rd-did you guys do the assignment I gave you the last time I was here,if yes pls keep it on his table and then we'll start with the class

In his class of 40 students one female student in particular was more happy to see him, not because she missed him but because she was worried about his health, she had went to see him in the hospital when he was there for 2 days but after that he was shifted to his home and she was not welcomed there, that's what she was so sure about, but now when he was standing in front of her with the same radiance coming from his face and that same smile adorning his face, she had seen on the first day of his class, she felt happy and somewhere deep down she felt relieved. Yes she was no doubt but sanyukta.

After keeping the assignment on his table when all the students were settled down again, he opens his laptop and starts teaching and as always was able keep his students interested in it but unlike everyday he ends his class in half an hour

Rd-so guys I've heard that your internship project is about to start next week and I was asked to give you some tricks and tips to crack it

Dev(to parth)-dekha, I told you he will help to crack the H&R interview

Parth-shh, listen to him

Rd-well I really don't have any tip or trick on how to crack an interview other than to say that just be yourself and be confident but yeah, dean has arranged someone for you people who will help you and give you a pep talk, but before that I would like to tell you a few things

I know, as an engineering student, each one of you might have a dream company where you like to work and show your skills, I mean atleast a few of you might have that, right. But there is this problem with our dreams you see, just like we go on a trip, to reach that particular place, you will have to go through so many other destinations and sometimes you may need to stop at some other places, wait and think, right. So you don't get to your dream company, don't get dishearted, just think of it as the stop on the road towards it.

Dev-duh!!

Rd-so now I'll stop my blabbering and get on with what I am supposed to do, I'll take your leave

Rd was stepping out of the classroom when a women steps in front of him, she was wearing an above ankle length pants with black and white pattern, paired with an orange v neck chiffon office shirt neatly tucked and a white hand bag and her brown hair curled into smooth waves were complementing her whole businesswomen look

As soon as rd looks at her, she gives him a big grin showing off her pearly whites and wrinkles form around her ocean blue eyes, here rd's face first showed an expression of shock and soon it turned into an even big grin

Rd-Avantika!! What are you doing here?

Avantika(smiling)-well I was called by the dean to give the third year's a pep talk because their professor refused to do so and being a former student of this place, I couldn't refuse,but what are you doing here?

Rd-well....i am that infamous professor....

Avantika-what!! You are a professor here? But how?

Rd-hey why don't you get on with your work and we'll catch up with things on a cup of coffee this evening

Avantika-you know what? That's the best idea

She enters the class and rd leaves to his office

Later that evening

Rd and avantika step into the coffee shop and they find their way to an empty table, avantika calls for a waiter but to rd's surprise he saw her.

Wearing a maroon color apron with the name of the coffee shop embroidered along the part of the apron which falls on the chest and a matching maroon color cap was sanyukta and she was surprised to him but above all that she felt embarrassed for the first time in her life, she had never felt ashamed of working in coffee shops of diners or in supermarket, but today she felt it the urge to hide somewhere he can't see her

She chided herself for thinking of things she felt when he slept at her place last week, she was nothing compared to the women sitting in front of him, and she was one who complements him in more than one way. She gather's herself together and speaks

Sanyu-mam, may I take down your order

Avantika-I'll have an iced mocha and him(looks at rd who was looking at sanyukta)amm rd, what do you want

Rd-amm right,I'll have a black coffee...

Sanyu(finishing for him)-without sugar, ok and iced mocha and a black coffee without sugar,coming up in ten minutes

As soon as sanyu leaves avantika speaks up

Avantika-looks like you come here a lot

Rd-yeah kind of

Rd couldn't get his mind around the fact that when she has a job at the boutique even though not a permanent one, then why was she working this late here at this coffee shop...when will she prepare for her interview and what about the exams that were to come after that

Avantika-Rd!! what happened?

Rd(coming out of his thoughts)-oh nothing..what were you saying?

They continue with their chat,she was his classmate when she went to UK for a student exchange program from fite and rd was studying there with karan, he wanted her to meet karan but the way things ended between them before she came back to fite, he thought it was nice to give them sometime before they meet

Sanyukta comes with their order and places it on their table

Avantika-why do I feel like I've seen her somewhere

Rd-mmmhmm, you might have seen her in the class today, she is one of my students

Avantika-riiiiiight, that's why she felt so familiar

Her phone rings, after sometime she cuts the call and looks at rd apologetically

Rd(getting the cue)-that's ok....you can go...no need of apologies

Avantika(kisses his cheek)-you are the best...you know that?

Rd smiles and avantika grabs her bag and her iced mocha and walks out of the café saying an "its on you"

Rd smiles and decides to sit there for some more time thinking about a lot of things in general

He was so engrossed in his thoughts that he did know when it was quarter to ten, he was expecting to see sanyukta but this time it was some other girl

Girl-sir we are closing now, your check

Rd-ahh right, he keeps his credit card into the bill book and hands it over to the waitress

After keeping a tip he walks out of the café, he wished to see sanyu one last time before he leaves but he didn't see her anywhere

He was out of the café, sitting in his car, when he sees her coming out of the café in her casual clothes, he calls out to her and she looks at his direction but she wont walk towards him, so he starts his car and takes it to her

Rd-get in sanyukta,I'll drop you

Sanyu-no sir, its ok I'll take the bus

Rd-its ok sanyukta, its on the way

Sanyu-thank you sir, but its ok

If it was some other days like before when he had offered her a lift she would have taken it but today she was hit by a bitter reality, she was not one of those girls with whom he should be seen, his standards were very high, so high that it was impossible for her to reach and for some unknown reasons she felt sad and she could feel her heart crying..but the reality was supposed to make you feel that way when you were even if for a short time living in a dream.

She turns away from him and walks off and rd just stares at her retreating figure.She was literally running from there.

I know there was nothing much in this chapter, but consider this as a filler coz something big is going to happen the next one *wink* *wink*
