Evening at 7:15

Sanyukta was at her new job at the boutique helping out a customer when the manager comes running and calls all the employs to do some announcements

Mamanger-listen up everyone....today the president of this mall is coming on rounds and he will be here anytime soon, I want each one of you to correct your appearance and treat him well and you(pointing to an employ)where is your sash, go grab one from the store room

Employ(running towards the door)-yes mam

Manager-sanyukta....whats with this secretary look....its a boutique for god sake....open that pony tail of yours

Sanyu(removing the hair tie)-sorry mam

Manager(to another employ)-go see if all the wracks are in tact..sanyukta go and help him

They go from there and the rest of the employs go to do the duty assigned to them

Here rd steps out of the car with a coffee in one hand a a file in another, he takes a sip of his coffee and hands the file to the secretary and takes another

Secretary-sir...will you have something to eat first

Rd-lets go on the rounds and I need to talk the shop owners.

Secretary-right sir

It was an 8 floored building with around 10 shop spaces each and rd has decided to visit each shop personally today

After going to his cabin they start from the topmost floor and he talks to all the shop owners and he reaches the 6th floor where the boutique where sanyukta works was located..the manager greets him and he enters and all the empoys wish him and he sees sanyukta among them and he was about to say something but the manager gasps and he feels something flowing down his nose

Manager-oh my god....your nose is bleeding

He feels dizzy and all he could hear were some noises that too were getting distant and then nothing...all blank...but he heard a familiar voice calling him "sir"

Secretary-call the emergency team

Employ-I called them they will be here any minute

The emergency team come and take him to the hospital...and everyone go back to doing their work

Here sanyukta was checking the clock in every five mins and after what felt like eternity her shift was over...she changes out of her uniform and comes out

She rushes out of the mall but stops

Sanyu- to which hospital did they take him?

She searches in her purse for the card rd gave her before he went to china,she finds it finally...it was karan's card, she dials the number and presses the call button...but he didn't answer, she tries again but againg no answer

She walks to the bus stop and goes and sits on one of the platforms there and again tries calling him, but this time he picks up on the third ring

Karan-hello

Sanyu-he...hello karan?

Karan-yes speaking...who is this?

Sanyu-ahh....its me sanyukta Aggarwal....3rd year fite student

Karan(chucking)-saying "its me sanyukta"would have been enough

Sanyu-ohh sorry

Karan-don't be....rd is at city hospital...sanyukta I need to go....you are coming right? I'll meet you at the entrance. Call me when you reach.

Sanyukta-but how is he?

All she heard was nothing

Sanyukta-rickshaw!!

She reaches city hospital and she tries calling karan...but it was switched off

She goes to the emergency section but there was no sign of rd or karan

Sanyu-are you mad sanyukta......he will be in a vip room,not here

She goes to the reception

Sanyu-excuse me

Nurse-yes..how can I help you

Sanyu-can you tell me in which room is Mr.Randhir Singh Shekhawat admitted

Nurse-he is in vvip room on the fifth floor

Sanyu-thank you

She goes to the elevator but it was taking too long for her to wait so she just decides to take the stairs and when she reaches the 5th floor she was completely out of breath and unlike other floors, this floor was very quite with minimal people moving here and there

She looks for the vvip room but when she spots it she moves behind a pillar because there was a man in his late fifties clad in a suit and an elderly man talking to the doctor

Sanyu-that might be rd sir's father and grandfather

She looks down at her appearance on the window opposite to her and her face was all sweaty with all the running she did right now

Sanyu-why did I even think to come here

But her attention shifts from her appearance to what doctor was saying

Doc-he is tired to the edge...its like he has not been eating since a week or more and his caffeine consumption was too much which is not at all good for his health we have given him iv drips and we have to keep him under observation for a day at the least and he needs to eat a lot to regain his strength, for now he is unconscious but he will wake up anytime...you don't have to worry. He just over worked and was under lot of stress

Harsh-right doctor...thank you

Sanyu breaths a sigh and turns to go but bangs into a hard chest

Karan-easy there lady

Sanyu-ahh karan...sorry

Karan-did you run a marathon or something

Sanyu(confused)-huh?

Karan-whats with all the sweating

Sanyu-ahh....i just took the stairs...that's why

Karan-what? Really? Last time I checked the elevators are working perfectly fine

Sanyu-ohh..yes, I just took the stairs for a change

Karan(suspiciously)-oookk, you going?

Sanyu-oh yes I was leaving

Karan-did you meet him..

Sanyu-amm....no, its ok

Karan-c'mon sanyukta...you came all the way here and you are going without meeting him, he wont like it, come(grabs her hand and pulls her out of her hiding place

Sanyu-no its ok karan..pls

Karan-cmon lady

He drags her to the place where both harsh and Mr. Rishab Singh Shekhawat(rd's grandfather) were standing

Karan-here uncle your coffee and dadu your juice

Sanyukta was standing in front of them with her head down and both of there were looking at her and then they look at karan

Karan-oh dadu, uncle...this is sanyukta...3rd year fite student(chuckling)

Rishab-ohh so you are rd's student

Sanyu(still looking down)-yes sir

Harsh-how come you are here?

Sanyu-i....i

But before she could come up with an answer dadi comes out to tell them that he is awake and both harsh and rishab go in and karan looks at sanyuka with a look of regret in his eyes

Karan-I am sorry sanyukta..i know I made this whole situation really uncomfortable for you..i am so sorry

Sanyu-its ok karan, I wanted to know how he is...and I know that now....moreover it was my mistake..i shouldn't have come here on the first place...I think I should leave..bye karan..pls go in and meet rd sir

Karan-its ok I'll drop you

Sanyu-no pls karan...I can go....thank you

With heavy steps she walks away from there while with a heavy heart karan goes inside

Rd was awake and was receiving a scolding from dadi

Dadi-rd how many time have I told you to eat properly.....you don't listen to me at all....i am done...either you listen to me or just get married and let me be free....i am too old to bear all this..

Rd(in a weak tone)-oh cmon darling atleast don't scold me today..see I am sick(pouts)

Dadi(kissing his forehead)-mera bacha....get well soon beta

Harsh-and stop living on coffee....

Rishab-you taking stress wont help beta...keep calm and do as much as you can...don't push yourself right now

Harsh-I know that will be difficult for you as your mom's dream is involved....lets hire more interns...it will help you out...efficient inters....just don't get sick

Rd(looking away)-I can say the same thing for you

Harsh-I am fine rd...its you who is not....ahh right there is a firend of yours outside...isn't she karan

Rd-she?

Karan(amazed)-oh right....uncle one minute...I'll be right back

Without waiting he dashes out of the room and to the hallway only to be disappointed, he walks near the elevator but she was not there

Karan-I think she actually left

That's when he sees raj, his back was turned and he was talking to someone

Karan-may be he might have seen her....raj(calling to him)

Raj turns only to reveal the person he was talking and it was ofcourese and on seeing her karan gives a big smile and breathe a sigh

He walks to them

Raj-what happened karan...is rd alright....i was on my way to see him and then I met sanyukta...she was about to go meet him too

Karan(looking at her)-was she

Sanyu just looks down as she just lied to raj and karan now knew that she did

Karan-ok then lets go meet him them

Sanyu looks up at him shocked

Karan-what happened sanyukta...you were going to meet him right

Sanyu-actually...I'll meet him later...samar is alone at home...I should get going

Raj-hey sanyukta...just meet him na when you are here

Karan-exactly

Sanyu(hesitant)-amm....ok

They all walk towards rd's room

Sanyu-I really think that I can come some other day

Karan-just come sanyukta

Karan enters the room and they hear rd say

Rd-yaar karan...I don't know why but mr.harsh just took darling and dadu in a hurry

Karan-really...who knows why..anyways look who is here to see you

Rd sees raj first and says

Rd(dramatically)-oh my god look what I am seeing...a doctor in a hospital...totally strange right?

Raj(lauging)-ouch! That hurts...anyways he wasn't talking about me

Sanyukta enters the room and greats rd

Sanyu-hello sir..how are you feeling now

Rd(glaring at karan)-ah sanyukta...I am feeling all right...when did you come? Oh right you were there when I fainted

Karan-really?

Rd-oh she works at a boutique in our mall

Karan-which one?

Rd-victoria boutique(with a smirk ofcourse a weak one)

Hearing that karan's face goes red and raj starts laughing and sanyu looks at the trio confused

Raj(laughing)-you know what sanyukta...you know your manage...

Before he could complete his sentence karan cover's his mouth and drags him out of the room

Karan-you guys talk...we will be outside...chal be tu(drags raj outside)

Rd was laughing when he starts coughing

Sanyu-sir!!

She grabs a glass of water and makes him drink it

Sanyu-I'll call dr.raj

She turns to leave when rd holds on to her hand

Rd-I am ok sanyukta, thank you

She looks down at her hand which he was holding, he leaves it

Rd-oh I am sorry...its too late sanyukta..why did you come?

Sanyu-I saw you faint and I just couldn't go home like that...I just wanted to check upon you

Rd nods

Sanyu-sir..

Rd-yes sanyukta

Sanyu-you should eat even if you have too much work, without energy you cant work

Rd(smiling)-I appreciate your concern sanyukta...I will keep that in mind

Sanyu(smiles back)-thank you sir

Rd-is samar alone at home

Sanyu-yes sir, I was about to go but then karan sir called me in to see you

Rd-oh so you were leaving without meeting me(disappointed me)

Sanyu-no actually sir....everyone was here so I thought I should just come some other time but then karan sir came and asked me to meet you may be because everyone was gone, so...

Rd-right, how are you going to go now its already 10

Sanyu-its ok sir..i'll take a taxi or something

Rd-that's dangerous....wait here sanyukta let me make a call

Sanyu-but sir its ok...I'll manage

Rd without giving any heed to her protest was dialing a number when karan enters

Karan-c'mon sanyukta I'll drop you home(to rd)I hope you will live without me for some time

Rd(smiling)-I doubt that

Karan-you have to because we have some talking to do

Rd-oh god

Karan-lets go sanyukta..i don't think that it will be a good site to see your professor getting scolded

Sanyyu(smiling)-right...bye sir take care

Rd-bye sanyukta, good night

Sanyu-good night sir...get well soon

Sanyu leaves with karan

Rd lies back down on his bed and looks at the glass on the side table

Rd(sighs and closes his eyes)-don't make things difficult for me sanyukta

Here karan drops sanyukta at her house

Karan-ok then sanyukta bye....

Sanyu-bye karan and thank you

Karan-always welcome......btw you coming tomorrow to meet rd?

Sanyu-ammm....i..

Karan-leave it...I just wanted to tell you that when he gets sick he loves to eat chicken soup and radish salad...in case you wanted to know

Sanyu-ohhh...ok thank you

Karan(smiling)-good night sanyukta

Karan leaves and she enters her house only to hear someone say

v-samar....here is your cheese toast..come and eat

sanyu(confused)-dev?

Samar looks up from the tv screen where he was playing playstation

Samar-dev bhai di is here

Dev comes to the hall wearing an apron and sanyu laughs at his appearance

Dev-what are you laughing at lady....what took you so long

Sanyu-what are you doing here dev and whats with that apron and all(laughing)

Dev-I tried calling you but it was switched off so I called samar and he said that he was alone so I came...and then we played and then he got hungry and here I am chef dev at your service

Sanyu(hugging him)-awww dev you haven't changed at all

Dev(hugging her back)-I wont change ever.....btw are you going to be this late everyday?

Sanyu-no...I just went to the hospital today that's why I am late

Dev-what!! Why did you go to the hospital....are you ok sanyu...did you get hurt somewhere

Sanyu-I am fine baba...who rd(but she stops and looks at samar who was busy eating his sandwich)

She takes dev to the kitchen

Sanyu-who rd sir fainted at the mall and was taken to the hospital..so went there to see him

Dev-you could have gone tomorrow na sanyukta....why did you go this late and don't you know it too dangerous to take taxis and and buses this late

Ssanyu-offo dev....karan sir dropped me here...don't worry, you staying for dinner

Dev-nah..i just wanted to see you and yeah I've made cheese toast for you too..i am leaving now..see you tomorrow(on reaching the hall)bye champ

Samar(mouth full of toast)-bye bhai....thanx for the toast

Dev-anytime...bye sanyukta good night, take care

Sanyu-bye dev....good night

Dev leaves and sanyu takes her toast and goes sits with samar

Sanyu-I know...you used to follow him around when you were small

Samar-then what happened?

Sanyu-after how things happened....and you started hating everyone...its not that dev became nicer...its you who have changed baby bro

Samar-whatever....but I still love rd sir more...ahh about that he didn't call me today(searches for his phone)

Sanyu-amm...samar...its too late and he is busy these days too....he will be asleep after taking medicine

Samar-medicine??

Sanyu-amm I mean...I mean

Samar-now there is something fishy about it...cmon di you know that you cant lie to me

Sanyu-ok fine.....he fainted due to tiredness and stress and was admitted to the hospital

Samar-what the hell di...and you are telling me this now? When did it happen?

Sanyu-why are you behaving like his dad

Samar-pls di its not about that

Sanyu-no samar.....today you have to tell me what it is....since the day you've met him you are like enticed by him...whats with behaving like a kid only in front of him

Samar-because he is the only person who was actually the same as I thought he would be...he is the only person who didn't disappoint me and he is the only person that is near to a father figure to me...i feel like he will be the only person who will look after you even if I am not around....i don't remember seeing dad and I have not seen anyone close to being a big brother other than him and to top it all off he is the only selfless person that I have ever seen....now are you happy?

He keeps the toast back in the plate and leaves to his room here his words were ringing in her ears

"he is the only person who didn't disappoint me"

She goes and knocks at his door but he didn't open

Sanyu-samar....i am sorry samar...I am sorry that I asked you this....i don't mind how you behave with him...and I am sorry if I have ever disappointed you ever(her voice cracks)

The door opens and samar hugs her

Samar-no di.....you have never disappointed me ever...not even for a second di...you are the only reason that I am here and I know that you will be the only reason for me becoming what I will in the future.....its just that I am worried about you di....i want you to be happy too

Sanyu-I am happy samar...I just want you to become what you want to be and I'll be happy forever

Samar-I love you di(wipes her tear)

Sanyu-I love you too my baby bro

Samar-di!!

Sanyu-accha ok ok, come and finish your toast and eat your medicine

Samar-but promise me that you will take me to meet rd sir tomorrow

Sanyu-but samar his family will be there..it will be awkward

Samar-lets go when they are not there..pls di pls

They eat their toast and retire to bed

Next day at the hospital

Rd was sitting on his bed going through some files when karan enters

Karan-are you mad? You forgot about the pep talk that I gave you

Rd-its important karan..they want my signature on it

Karan-fine then let me read it and then you can sign

He takes the file from him and keeps his breakfast on the bed table

Karan-and eat this

Rd starts eating, that's when they hear a knock at the door

Rd-come in

Samar runs to rd and rd gives his biggest smile

Rd-hey champ....what are you doing here

Samar-di told me last night that you were sick...how are you feeling now

Rd-I am fine samar..how did you reach here....is your sister here

Karan-oh helloooooo.....you forgot I came here before him so actually I brought him

Samar-yeah I came with karan bhai...di said she has to reach college early

Rd(disappointed)-oh right

Samar-how is your breakfast...di made it

Rd(amazed)-really? Its amazing...say thank you to her

Samar-sure, eat it na

Rd-ok I am(smiles)

He eats while talking to samar and then karan drops samar at his school

Rd was dozing off when someone walks into the room

v-hey my boy....heard you stressed yourself out

rd-hey mamu...I thought you were chilling at korea

v-oh cmon how can I chill when my boy is not well, how are you now?

Rd-I am fine mamu...tell me did you hear anything about that girl

v-not yet boy....i don't know what will I do when I will finally find her

rd-I am eager to meet the girl because of whom Adv. Vardhan sanyal stopped his practice

v-that's the least punishment that I can give myself for the thing that I've done

rd(calling him for a hug)-aww come on mamu...don't get stressed...see this is how you will end up

vd(hugging him back)-I hate to be lying around like that

rd-that's why stop stressing yourself
