*sighs* no new Disney movies have came out since Covid broke out.

Who was excited to see the live action Mulan? That was supposed to premiere in MARCH!

😭😭😭 Oh well.

It's been about six or seven months since the battle against Hawkmoth. The kingdom was still recovering from the damage the evil man had inflicted, but it was only a few more months until it would be back to it's former glory.

Princess Ladybug and Prince Chat Noir worked on helping those in need who suffered from Hawkmoths overtaxing. They even invited the civilians that they met on their night in the town to their wedding. The people were beginning to prosper and things looked much brighter than they ever did.

Tikki and Plagg stayed by their choosens throughout it all. Kwamis usually seek out a different choosen once the wishes of their previous ones has been granted, but the creatures weren't ready to choose new companions. They'd decided they'd be there till the end.

Speaking of kwamis, Hawkmoth's kwami Nooroo had been found hiding when the guards were ordered to search Hawkmoth's office. The tiny kwami was brought to the King, as well as the princess and the newly crowned prince. The poor creature looked scared to death, but a few kind words from Ladybug helped him calm down and eventually his trust was earned to tell her everything that Hawkmoth had planned from the start as well as the things he did to assist him.

Adrien wasn't upset with the purple kwami for stealing his ring, he was more upset with what Hawkmoth had done to him in order to gain information and power. It made him angry thinking of someone doing that to a poor creature, he couldn't even begin to say what he'd do if anyone treated Plagg that way.

Nooroo had been welcomed to stay in the castle with open arms, until the day he was ready to find a new choosen, hopefully one who was more worthy.

Meanwhile two other kwamis joined the family as well. The first was a kwami named Trixx who had the appearance of an orange fox who had somehow been led to Alya and made her his chosen. Trixx was a very energetic kwami who strived for adventure, something that Alya admired about the creature.

Trixx had made Alya realized that she wanted to see more of the world outside the kingdom. So with Nino by her side they ventured outside the kingdom for several months.

Along the way, they met the second kwami Wayzz, who had belonged to Master Fu, the old man that saved Adrien and Plagg from the blizzard. Wayzz told of how Master Fu had sent him to search for a new chosen as he felt it was time and had found himself drawn to Nino.

Nino couldn't believe it, after all his years granting wishes for others, he was able to make a wish of his own. However, he felt that his wishes had already come true earning his freedom and being with the girl he loved. What else could he possibly wish for?

Alya had suggested that he'd use his wish to decide where he might have come from. Since they had little success in all the libraries that they have found along their travels, but Nino decided to save his wish for something more important according to him. 

After another month they returned to the Kingdom of Dupain. Princess Ladybug and Prince Chat Boir were getting married in a matter of weeks and they didn't want to miss out on the festivities for their best friends.

Marinette was ecstatic to see her best friend again. She immediately greeted her at the front of the castle with a big hug. "Alya you're back!" She exclaimed.

"Of course, I wouldn't miss my best friend's wedding." Alya laughed.

Adrien walked up to the entrance as well with a big smile. "Nino!"

"Adri- I mean Chat Noir, dude it's been awhile!" Nino said and greeted his buddy with a fist bump. "Man can't wait for you guys to finally take those things off."

The prince laughed touching his mask. "Yeah, the King says we'll be able to remove them at the coronation  when Marinette finally becomes Queen."

"That's right!" Alya clapped happily. "After your coronation, you'll no longer be Princess Ladybug, you'll be Queen Marinette!"

The princess giggled, "Yeah, I still can't believe it. I mean, I know we've always talked about this day, but it still feel unreal you know?"

"Don't worry princess you'll be a great Queen." Adrien said wrapping an arm around her. "The greatest this Kingdom has ever seen. The people already appreciate the things you've done for them."

"That wasn't just me, Chaton." Marinette smiled. "You've done your part as well." She kissed his cheek.

"Ugh...I don't know how much more I can take of this." Plagg said floating over with Tikki and Nooroo.

"Alya, Nino, TRIXX, you're back!" Tikki shouted happily before noticing the green kwami. "...and who's this?"

Marinette and Tikki stared at the turtle kwami confused, while Adrien and Plagg recognized the kwami.

"Wayzz?" Adrien said surprised. "Is that you?"

"Yes, it's nice to see you again, same to you Plagg." Wayzz greeted.

"Is Master Fu with you?"

"Unfortunately no, the master has directed me to search for a new chosen and on my journey I was lead to Master Nino."

Nino shook his head. " Wayzz I told you not to call me Master. Just Nino is fine."

Wayzz bowed his head. "My apologies."

"It's okay lil' dude. I've just had enough with that word is all. I've been saying it for thousands of years."

"Well, I think this is a perfect opportunity for us all to get to know each other better over dinner." The princess offered. "Why don't we make it towards the banquet hall?"

"We'll meet you guys there." Alya stated. "Nino and I have one more stop we have to make. Hey, Nooroo can you come with us please?"

Nooroo nodded following Alya as she made her way down the hall. The group looked at Nino who simply shrugged before turning to Trixx and Wayzz. "You two go ahead and get some food in you, we'll see you guys later."

Nino and Alya were in the room that was once Hawkmoth's office. Now mostly empty as the stuff inside was either confiscated or in boxes at the side of the room.

Alya was looking through the remaining files that were still boxed in the room while Nooroo sat on her shoulder.

Having watched the girl search for a few minutes, Nino decided to ask what exactly she was looking for. "Alya, what are you looking for."

"We've been to so many libraries, read so many manuscripts, and not a single one tells us anything about what your lineage could have been. I figured with all the secrets Hawkmoth kept we'd find something to lead us in the right direction." Alya search was put to a halt when she felt a hand lie on top of her own and looked up at Nino. "What's wrong?"

"Look Alya, I know you're curious about the life I lived before I became a genie, believe me I'd like to know and I'm very grateful for your help..." Nino sighed, "...but now that I'm human again time is very precious to me and I don't want to spend that time looking for a past that no longer exist."

Alya looked down at the ground for a moment. "I just...I just wanted you to be able to reunite with any living family you might have. I know it's been a long time, but I just thought maybe you'd still have someone. I don't want you to be alone anymore."

"I'm not alone Alya." He helped her up and smiled. "I have Adrien, Marinette,  our kwamis, and most of all...you." Nino brought her closer. "You're my family now."

Alya smiled, which turned into a giggle. "Did I ever mention how cheesy you are, someone's been spending too much time with blondie."

"Oh trust me I guarantee the things I've heard from him are much cheesier."

They laughed again, Alya looked down at the drawer of files and pushed it back. "You're right, it's time to stop living in the past and look towards the future." Alya grabbed Nino's hand and they were about to head out until she spotted a single book shifted out of place on the shelf.

"What's that?" Nino saw what she was looking at and watched as the girl reached up to grab the book only to find out that it wouldn't move.

"Hmm." She looked at the surface and noticed skid marks so she pushed the book over to the right and revealed a hole. Reaching inside the only thing she found was a piece of paper and it had a picture on it. "Will you look at this?"

It was a picture of Hawkmoth without his mask. He was next to a woman smiling at her and she was holding a little blonde boy in her arms.

"No way." Nino stared in disbelief. "That crazy dude had a family?"

"I guess." Alya said also confused. "I've never heard of them and I don't think Marinette or the King knew about them either. Did you know Nooroo?"

Nooroo flew over and looked at the picture. "My old master never talked about his former life, he was determined to leave it all behind to persue his aim for the throne."

"You don't think his family is still out there do you?" Nino asked curiously.

"Who knows.." Alya sat the picture back on the shelf. "..but I can guarantee that wherever they are, their better off better off without that monster."
