Chapter 68

Hey look we can underline stuff now

Jay's Point of View

Jay managed to knock the sword out of Kappa's hands once again. The Zombie Pigman raced after it, giving Jay a chance to get away.

He met up with Nomis. "Who should I reverse first?" she asked.

"Go for the Ghasts," Jay replied. "They'll shoot fireballs at everyone."

Nomis nodded and raced off to reverse them.

Jay hoped it wouldn't be too late.

Steve's Point of View

Running up stairs was exhausting.

Steve, Ruby, Scullscan, Lourd, and Sharky had been running for at least ten minutes. Every once in a while some Mojang guards would rush up to them, but the five Resistance members took them down easily.

They were passing floor 75 when Lourd said, "Stop! Let's rest here for a minute."

Steve turned around. The forty year old was completely out of breath. His face was red from exhaustion.

They met on the landing of floor 75. "Alright. Let's rest here," Steve said.

"We're almost there," Ruby said. "Do we have a plan yet?"

"I was just gonna wing it," Steve said. "That's how I've gotten this far in my few weeks of memory."

Ruby rolled her eyes, but everyone else seemed to agree. "Men," she mumbled.

"Maybe there will be something helpful in whatever this room is," Scullscan suggested. There was an iron door with a pressure plate to get in.

"Okay. Let's check it out," Sharky said.

They all filed inside. Steve couldn't help but feel like this floor was vaguely familiar...

They got inside, and Steve gasped.

The iron door closed, with no pressure plate to get back out.

"What is this place?" Ruby asked.

"Th-the th-th-the--" Steve stuttered.

It was a huge arena.

Suddenly, a huge iron door across the room rose, and something huge walked out of it.

"What is that?" Scullscan asked.

The Iron Destroyer.

Jean's Point of View (the every 8 chapters thing probably won't be true anymore)

"Call back the Overworld troops," Notch said to Jean. "The Resistance will get up here eventually. Cutting the elevator wire wasn't enough."

"Yes sir," Jean replied as she made the commands. "Do you think the Iron Destroyer will stop them?"

"Maybe for a while, but they will get past it eventually. That is why you need to call back the troops," Notch explained.

"Yes sir," Jean replied.

Ruby's Point of View

"What is that thing?!" Ruby asked fearfully.

"It's The Iron Destroyer. I thought I killed it a long time ago!" Steve replied.

"Well you obviously didn't," Sharky said as the giant iron golem stepped towards them.

"Listen guys," Steve said. "There's a shut down socket behind some panels on its head. If we can activate it, it'll shut down."

"Got it," Ruby replied.

"Let's go!" Steve said.

They charged for The Iron Destroyer.

Jay's Point of View

Jay watched Nomis run over to a group of five Ghasts. She stared at them in deep concentration, and waved her hands.

Suddenly, the Ghasts' glowing red eyes turned back to normal.

They took in the battle, then started shooting at the Mojang Nether monsters.

Nomis ran over to some more Ghasts and did the same thing. Jay smiled.

A Mojang Wither Skeleton was trying to sneak up at Jay, but he punched behind him without looking and knocked it out.

He saw Kirai fighting Ksi. It was diamond sword verses stone sword, but Kirai couldn't be hit with the sword, or she would get the Wither effect and possibly die. So, she kept jumping backwards.

Jay watched, completely confident that Kirai would win.

Then he watched her get stabbed in the heart.

Steve's Point of View

The Iron Destroyer looked exactly how it did last time Steve has fought it. He guessed Mojang had rebuilt it.

The twenty five block tall iron golem shot iron block bullets at them at a speed that would kill if hit. Steve dodged one, and he saw Sharky jump over one. Ruby barely dodged one in time.

The Iron Destroyer tried smashing them with his arm, roaring. Lourd dove out of the way.

The arena was exactly the same as it was last time too. There was the forest, the bare area, and the obsidian platform in the middle.

Steve would not go near that platform again.

The Iron Destroyer tried smashing them with its arm again, and this time, Steve jumped on top of it, just like he had done last time.

Sharky and Scullscan also jumped on.

Ruby tried to get on, but the arm rose before she could reach it.

Steve, Sharky, and Scullscan started running up the arm, slicing at it along the way.

The giant iron golem started lurching. It was walking.

They reached the shoulder and ran to the head. "The shut down socket should be under its iron plating!" Steve shouted.

Sharky nodded and started hacking away at the head. The Iron Destroyer roared a mechanical roar.

At least there are no crowds watching me this time, Steve thought bitterly as he and Scullscan also started cutting at the head.

Enderspi cut away some plating to reveal the shut down socket.

Except it wasn't a socket anymore, it was a button. Steve guessed they changed it because of what he did last time.

Sharky was about to press the button when The Iron Destroyer did it again.

Its arm rose up, bent at an impossible angle, and punched all three of them.

Everything seemed to go in slow motion again.

As he was falling, Steve realized he was the only one who could throw something and hit the button. Scullscan and Sharky were at angles where they wouldn't be able to hit the button.

He searched his inventory quickly for something he didn't need that he could throw.

His hand closed on something small and wooden.

Louis' cow toy that he had given to Steve so long ago. (Chapter 33)

Steve aimed, and threw it at the button.

And he fell.

Jay's Point of View

Jay ran over to Kirai. She was laying on the ground, blood seeping from her chest wound.

Ksi had left, and it seemed like Jay and Kirai were the only two left in the world.

Jay grabbed Kirai's hand, tears streaming down his cheeks. Kirai was still alive at the moment.

"Kirai..." Jay croaked.

Kirai squeezed his hand and looked into his eyes. She spoke, ever so softly.

"I...I've...I've...always...loved...you..."

Her head dropped back to the ground. Jay started sobbing.

He was vaguely aware of Nomis throwing a potion at Kirai and dragging her away. Nomis yelled something at Jay, but he didn't hear.

He fell to the ground in the middle of the battle, too depressed to do anything.
