he war that wiped out most of the Cardinals wasn't a war were regular werewolves attacked Cardinals. No, of course not. No regular wolf could take out a cardinal. Only a wolf that had equal amount of power could. The type of wolf that was capable of causing that kind of harm to Cardinals were the Celestial wolf breed.

Unlike, regular wolves, or Cardinal wolves. They lack most of those abilities like heightened hearing, seeing, strength and healing. However, they did have astounding agility and of course can shift into their wolf form like regular werewolves.

The areas where they lack are the areas that are made up for with powers that no other breed has.

Each celestial wolf with a mark like this on their body means they have ONE of the following abilities:

* Mind reading: they can read minds of what others are thinking without them knowing it.

* Emotional reading: they can feel the emotions of others. If they grow strong enough at learning this ability, they can eventually learn how to manipulate/ persuade emotions

* Relationship Manipulation: the ability to essentially entice people into forming certain relationships with them. Whether that's a friendly relationship, romantic relationship, or enemies relationship. They are also good at manipulating and influencing other people's relationships as well.

* Healing Manipulation: While their bodies themselves can't heal, they can heal other people's bodies quicker if they allow them to drain some energy from them.

This is rare, but there are a few Celestial wolves that have this mark:

If they have this mark that means they have all the abilities that were listed above. This is extremely rare and there have only been about three on record of having this marking.

Unlike the other werewolf races where Males were more powerful, Female wolves of this race are superior than males.

Female wolves have an easier time using their abilities and their abilities grow stronger quicker which can make for dangerous situations if they don't know how to properly control them.

Unlike most werewolf races where both the wolf and it's host fight over control, Celestial's don't share that struggle a majority of the time. Instead there really is not struggle and the two of them share equal power.

Celestial wolves are more emotional than most wolves. Not with all their emotions though, just one. Desire. Since their race can't heal on their own, they're more vulnerable to the other races. This means the best way to keep the race alive is through mating and having offspring. Because of this, the moon goddess made Desire a bigger emotion for them. Whether the human body and brain recognizes it, their wolf is always craving to be wanted by a mate. That's why when they find mates, the relationship often escalates quickly. Celestial's crave touch. Hence why they often are giving signs of affection to their mate whether it's a kiss, hand holding, or something more intimate. They feel greatly comforted when their mate is near by and distressed when they are away. Females especially, have this desire for offspring and a family. This makes it harder for them to resist their mates in important lunar events like a full moon or mating season.

Celestial's don't know what mark they have until something or someone awakens them, and that's when the mark forms.

Unlike the Cardinals, the Celestial's history wasn't erased by the elders. Mostly because they wanted people to know of these beings that were destoryed not too long ago in a war that wiped them out. There is not a single Celestial alive left....well until now.

Melanie is the last known Celestial alive. She has been gifted with all of the abilities and now that puts her in great danger. If people who were power hungry found out about her, they would do anything to get her on their team especially Cardinals because it meant that they could create a race that was more powerful than ever before.
