[ The Supernaturals ]

Kon-El: hey Dad, we made a new discovery.

Kal-El: oh, about what?

Kon-El: about Mon.

Kon-El: he can definitely survive in the Earth's external climate. Tim's assumptions were wrong.

Kal-El: oh that's great, how did you find out?

Kara Zor-El: Tim cracked out the code to his genetics or so he said. Then he told us how Mon could get enhanced by solar energy absorption and suggested that we should check for ourselves by bringing him out to the garden. At first, we weren't going to and were uncertain but nothing happened to Mon even though he stayed out for more than an hour.

Kon-El: yeah, no adverse reactions. No difficulty in breathing, self-combustion, skin allergies etc etc. Tim sent a whole list and we crossed off all the symptoms he had noted down to figure out whether the climate was suitable for Mon or not.

Kal-El: oh...

Kon-El: so there's no hassle of keeping him indoors forever. He can survive outdoors as well just fine.

Kal-El: good to know.

Kon-El: just good? It's great!

Kon-El: I can show him the city now and I can't wait to take him everywhere.

Kara Zor-El: why are you so excited tho?

Kon-El: I've never had a brother around my own age so it's going to be fun.

Kal-El: ah I see. Have fun but make sure you two don't get in any trouble.

Kon-El: sure 👍

Kara Zor-El: for all I know, he's still not around your age, technically speaking.

Kal-El: what's that supposed to mean?

Kon-El: if you dare bring up the fact that I am a clone and have been alive for only a couple years, I won't ever talk to you again.

Kara Zor-El: for once, I wasn't going to say that.

Kon-El: ...

Kon-El: oh, seems unbelievable but what else were you going to say?

Kara Zor-El: remember he told us about his travels and how he once got sucked into a time portal? 

Kon-El: so? How is that relevant rn?

Kara Zor-El: he must be ages older than both of us as he said he lived a major part of his life in the future then returned and discovered he hadn't aged in his own time.

Kal-El: wait a bit here...

Kal-El: why was he traveling and how? As far as I know, the privileges of having a space pod and permission to travel beyond Daxam's boundaries aren't bestowed on an average Daxamite.

Kon-El: now that I think about it, he said he had had a much better life than most.

Kal-El: still, it would be unaffordable.

Kon-El: well, maybe it was affordable for him as he was born into Daxam's royal family.

Kal-El: HE IS THE PRINCE OF DAXAM?

Kara Zor-El: ...

Kal-El: ...

Kon-El: why do you seem so shocked? Like were we supposed to tell you that earlier?

Kal-El: obviously, you should have told me as soon as you found out.

Kal-El: how did you find out?

Kon-El: he told me!

Kal-El: ah it makes so much sense now...

Kara Zor-El: why do I get the feeling you know much more about Daxam than you let it show?

Kal-El: ...

Kal-El: I went there once and obviously I was driven out. But I sure have heard many rumors of this Prince of Daxam.

Kara Zor-El: for instance?

Kal-El: the travels you mentioned earlier, I've heard Lar Gand sent his son to different galaxies for political reasons. And if Mon-El really is the prince then we will have to be twice more careful. The rumors about him weren't good at all.

Kon-El: I am shooketh...

Kara Zor-El: but when have rumors ever been true?

Kara Zor-El: and if he's trying to turn over a new leaf then who are we to judge him for his past.

Kon-El: I agree with Kara.

Kal-El: I didn't say we were to judge him, I just said we will have to be careful.

Kal-El: of course, I can see that he's trying his best to adapt to us and he's a good kid.

Kara Zor-El: ...

Kal-El: and no Kara, I do not care if he might be ages older than me due to some time travel feat. There's no difference between him and Connor in my eyes.

Kon-El: seems like Bruce Wayne is starting to rub off on you as I am pretty sure this is you referring to Mon as a son too.

Kal-El: I do not take this as a compliment considering the current mess Bruce is stuck in.

Kara Zor-El: oh yeah... 

Kal-El: anyways, Connor, you can take Mon out in the city and show him around but Kara, I want you to keep an eye on them.

Kon-El: what, why?

Kon-El: why do we need Kara to keep watch over us?

Kon-El: what are we? Four?

Kara Zor-El: 🤭🤭🤭

Kon-El: (reposted) if you dare bring up the fact that I am a clone and have been alive for only a couple years, I won't ever talk to you again.

Kal-El: I'm sorry Connor but she's the responsible one.

Kal-El: I don't want you two to get in any trouble.

Kon-El: this is so not fair...

Kon-El: you make it so obvious that out of all of us, Kara's your favorite.

Kara Zor-El: oh come on...

Kal-El: I don't have any favorites. I love you all equally.

Kon-El: but you definitely trust her more.

Kal-El: because she's responsible.

Kon-El: yeah like that's exactly the reply I wanted to hear 😠

Kal-El: ...

Kara Zor-El: deal with it 😇

"Kara, hi. Long time no see."

"Hi. I got really busy these days so couldn't keep in touch that often."

"No worries, how are you doing?"

"Good, you?"

"The usual."

"Are you out on practice again? You sound out of breath."

"Sort of. I just got a text from Tim earlier to pick him up from a coffee shop as he was about to pass out and since I was worried someone else would abduct him, I tried my best to get there as soon as I could."

"Oh... Tim's such a lost cause when it comes to coffee. I'm sure he would walk into a sack and get abducted himself if he smelled even a tiny bit of coffee in there."

"Probably..."

"Hey, are you free right now or do you still have to look after Tim?"

"Yeah, I'm free. I can't take Tim to my place because Ava would kick him out so I was thinking of dropping him off at Connor's."

"Perfect. I'm at Connor's place too. We were just going out for the evening but I wanted to ask you if you could join us."

"Any special occasion?"

"We have a family friend who came to the city for the first time. We wanted to show him around."

"Oh, that's nice."

"So are you joining us?"

"Are you sure your friend won't mind?"

"Of course not. Plus, I want you two to meet."

"Okay then, I'm bringing Tim over as well. See you."

"Yeah, looking forward to it."
