Luke: oh so that's what you two have been up to.

Luke: Zach, you didn't tell me selections had started.

Zach: because the selections are due in two weeks. And I had to train before that so I barely got any time to tell you all anything.

Aviana: yeah but now you guys know and our long-kept secret is out in the open.

Aviana: and see, I'm not forcing him to do prison labor.

Luke: what a relief, I would never have believed you otherwise.

Aviana: you sure are taking a lot of liberties today.

Luke: nope.

Zach: I'm so touched by your concern, Luke.

Zach: oh and Ava, you don't have to gift me anything. You've already done a lot for me.

Aviana: ...

Nora: awww, I live for wholesome family content.

Connor: I'm quite sure you said the exact opposite a few days ago.

Nora: what are you talking about?

Connor: a few days ago, you lived for the family drama these two cause.

Connor: not the wholesome family content.

Zach: ...

Luke: wait a second... 

Luke: Connor, you do have an excellent memory. If only you applied half of it in school, you wouldn't be failing.

Kara: guys, now all of you are creating drama in the group chat.

Aviana: exactly. Stop it.

Nora: btw is this the first time all the rest of us are finding out about the entire Zach's training situation?

Connor: well, kinda...

Kara: you knew?

Zach: he's been training alongside me. 

Aviana: yeah I called him over to keep Zach in check.

Zach: and I quote - "I can't run a mile to save my life even, that's why I asked Connor to help."

Aviana: Zach, you little nuisance...

Zach: who are you calling little? 

Zach: I'm two months older than you!

Nora: ...

Connor: say it Nora, say that you love the family drama too.

"Hi, Kara..."

"How have you been?"

"Really tired, what about you?"

"The usual. I didn't disturb you, right?"

"Of course not. It's good to talk to you, I don't even remember when was the last time we talked."

"Yeah, it's been long. How's the training going so far?"

"Very very exhausting. Ava is a very strict trainer and Connor is no less. The two of them have been making sure that either I get selected or die in the process."

"Oh come on..."

"You know they are doing so for your own benefit."

"Yeah, I know that. I'm very grateful to them too for taking the time out for me. I just hope that all our efforts don't go in vain this year and I do get selected. At first it was just my dream but now seeing Ava and Con get so involved with it, I feel the need to make it come true."

"And it definitely will since you're working so hard and putting in such a lot of effort."

"I hope so."

"Make sure to take care of your health as well. You shouldn't overexhaust yourself."

"Yeah, Ava has taken up that role too. She makes sure I am eating well and going to sleep on time too."

"Sweet."

"What have you been up to these days? Hopefully, spring break won't be crushing you out like it's crushing me."

"I just got done with the straw hats; one for Ava, Luke and Nora."

"Not for Connor?"

"Nope. He doesn't deserve one because he thinks my hobby of weaving straw hats is weird."

"Zach, has anyone ever told you that your laugh is contagious?"

"Ava says my laugh is like a dying seal. You're the first person to say it's contagious, assuming that's a good thing."

"Of course it's  good thing... It can make other people laugh too."

"Ah, so you mean to say it's comical."

"Oh no, not like that. It's just that when you laugh, the other person can't help but join in. I find it very endearing."

*Who you're talking to, Zachary? Can't you see it's past your bedtime?* "Uh oh, here comes Ava..." *You better go to sleep before I knock you out, understand?*

"Hey, we can talk some other time. Go to sleep."

*Are you talking to Kara? Wait...* "No, you can't take the phone. I'm saying goodbye and cutting the call, I promise."

*Kara, tell him to go to bed!* "Yeah right, bye Kara."
