Luke: is it just me or has there really been no significant activity on this group since weeks?

Kara: you're right tho

Kara: everyone seems busy.

Nora: especially Aviana.

Connor: yeah, she barely has time to talk to me even.

Nora: awww, someone's missing her.

Connor: ...

Luke: and even Zach hasn't posted anything in a long time.

Luke: his social media is almost dead.

Kara: that's surprising.

Connor: yo Zach and Ava, you guys are alive, right?

Luke: no response...

Kara: should we go to their place and check?

Nora: perhaps.

Nora: I know for a fact that Aunt Morena and Uncle Jonah haven't left town because they had come over to Dad's shop yesterday.

Luke: but Zach and Ava have been unreachable. And that's so not them.

Kara: maybe something important came up and they got busy?

Connor: maybe.

Aviana: guys, we're alive.

Connor: thank God.

Aviana: and we haven't left town either.

Aviana: like Kara said, something came up and we've been really busy these days.

Luke: where's Zach?

Aviana: passed out.

Kara: ...

Luke: you haven't killed him, right?

Aviana: ...

Connor: Luke, come on...

Aviana: no.

Aviana: also, that was very rude.

Aviana: why would I kill him? He's my brother whether I like it or not so of course I would never intentionally kill him.

Nora: wow...

Connor: what do you mean by intentionally?

Aviana: it could be an accident...?

Kara: Ava, this is a joke, right?

Aviana: ofc I'm kidding 🤣

Aviana: he's very much alive and I haven't killed him.

Luke: I need proof.

Nora: do you know, Luke, that I ship you two hardcore after the way you care about him so much?

Luke: Zach is just a very very good friend of mine. So obviously I am concerned for his well-being.

Kara: yeah, we believe you. They're just teasing you as usual.

Luke: thanks, Kara, for always understanding.

Luke: but I still need proof, Ava. Is Zach okay?

Aviana: of course!

Aviana: take a look for yourself if you don't believe me.

Nora: poor dear, he looks exhausted!

Kara: yeah...

Kara: what have you been making him do, Ava?

Aviana: well...

Luke: looks like you have been making him do extensive labor, the sort that is used as a punishment for lifetime prisoners.

Aviana: oh come on, what do you guys take me for? Satan?

Connor: ...

Nora: ...

Kara: ...

Luke: ...

Aviana: you all being so suspiciously silent here is very alarming.

Kara: of course we don't consider you that cruel but still... 

Aviana: Zach is perfectly alright. He's just taking a much-needed rest.

Connor: but what have you two been up to?

Aviana: good question with no possible answer.

Luke: stop creating much unnecessary suspense.

Aviana: there's no suspense.

Aviana: you guys will find out soon.

Kara: now I'm very curious.

Nora: me too.

Aviana: when he wakes up, I'll tell him to call you guys and tell y'all himself that he's okay.

"Ava, hi, how are you?"

"Great, you?"

"I'm doing great too."

"Hey, are you free these days?"

"Depends who's asking."

"I'm asking."

"Of course I'm free. I have all the time in the world for you."

"Aw, that's sweet. But like you haven't made any vacation plans?"

"I might have to go to Gotham for some time but there's no fixed date for that. It won't be an issue to delay the trip." 

"Are you sure it's not a problem?"

"Yeah, of course. Tim would keep whining about it for a few days but he'll get over it."

"Oh right."

"So what do you want me to do?"

"You remember how you all were asking us what Zach has been doing that keeps him so occupied and I didn't tell you anything about it?"

"Yeah, it was kinda weird because you don't usually do that. Neither do you spend time with Zach willingly."

"I know, it's just that it's a bit confidential. But now I really need your help."

"Okay..."

"I told you guys earlier that Zach has a dream of being part of the Olympics marathons and he has been trying to get in since the past two years. He couldn't qualify but this year, I promised to help him with it since he had gotten very dejected last time. And because I keep my word, when he told me that selections for the next Olympics have started, I started to help him in training."

"..."

"So I've been really busy in keeping my word to him."

"That's remarkably nice of you. Zach is lucky to have such a caring sister."

"Oh he knows he's lucky. He's just not lucky enough to get selected but we surely want to change that this year."

"I wish you two all the best. But the question here is where do you need my help with all of this?"

"Yeah, I'm getting to that. The thing is, I have been making Zach run laps around the track in the park near our house and I've taken him to the beach in the morning as well and every other place I could think of for him to practice. But even though I have been timing him and all, I still can't run even a few meters to keep up with him. We need someone who would be able to keep up with him and record his progress. He has improved but I feel like he needs a little more motivation."

"Oh I see..."

"So I was just wondering if you would join the training sessions? I know you're great at sports and probably the only person I know who can run as fast as Zach. Probably even faster than him but yeah..."

"You need not say more. I'm in."

"Really?"

"Yup. Zach's my friend too after all and I would be glad to help him achieve his dream."

"Aww, thank you Connor. I love you."

"Love you too."

"Meet us at the beach tomorrow morning at six sharp then."

"Aye Aye, Captain."

"Thanks a lot though."

"Hey, don't mention it. I'm really looking forward to training Zach. And don't worry, my trip to Gotham can wait. This is clearly more important than a vacation."

"Connor, I don't want you to cancel any plans. I'm sure in a week or two, Zach won't need this sort of extreme training as he will surely improve. Then you can go to Gotham all the same."

"We'll see about that when the time comes."

"Okay..."

"Since it's an early start tomorrow, I've gotta go and prepare myself. See ya."

"Sure, good night."
