Yay I didn't procrastinate writing for once.~ And my birthday is this Sunday and I'm lowkey terrified for it, any who let's get on with the story.

~SC

Fire.

Flames engulfed your vision allowing for nothing else to be visible. You put a hand over your mouth and coughed, smoke started filling up your lungs. You squinted your eyes trying to make out where you were examining the room to find a safe route out, but you couldn't make past the smoke hovering around you.

"What the hell happened?" You questioned to yourself, mumbling as you slowly started walking. You eventually stumbled upon a very familiar stone statue. You stood wide-eyed at the statue as you realized where you were.

"Jojo?! Mother?! Father?! Mr. Joestar?!" You cried out each name. desperately trying to find someone, but your calls went unanswered. You trembled at the thought of you being stuck in the abandoned mansion.

'There was one name that you didn't call out yet' , the thought flashed across your mind.

"Dio?!" You were met with a loud yell from above. You looked up to see the outline of someone's body fastening falling. You tried to make out who the muscular body belonged to as it descended, but the flames made it hard to see.

"D-Dio?" You gasped as you made out the locks of blonde hair. 'It couldn't be him.' You thought. 'I mean he has muscles, but not like that.'

Your eyes dilated as you realized that the body was heading straight for the statue.

"No!" You yelled, not wanting the outcome that was bound to occur. Though there was nothing you could do to stop it. As soon as the body was about to reach it's tragic destination you felt a hand grab your shoulder and start shaking you.

"Sweetie it's time to get up." You rose up, body trembling. You glanced around to find yourself in the guest room, with no signs of a fire ever being there.

"Are you okay?" Your father asked, voice laced with concern.

You touched two fingers to your lips and then moved your hand to cover your cheek, slightly shaking. "Yeah just... a bad dream." You answered, voice wavering. Your dad looked over you skeptically, "is that all that's been going on?"

"What do you mean?" You asked.

"You seem to be all over the place lately, plus I haven't been seeing you and Jojo together much lately." Your dad commented.

"He's been busy." Your father didn't totally believe your reply, but didn't intrude any further. "Well hopefully Jojo can clear his busy schedule to say goodbye."

"We're leaving already?" You questioned in shock, time had completely passed your thought due to all that was running through your head during the past two weeks.

"Yes, Mr. Joestar and I finished the business we had to attend to, so it's about time for us to head home."

"Oh..." You trailed off a bit sad that you'd be leaving the mansion.

"Sorry kiddo, but we can't depend on the Joestars for everything ." Your father said as he ruffled your hair. "Now start packing so you can have the time to say your goodbyes."

You laid back down on your bed and let out a sigh, the dream still wandering through your mind.

'Why did I have a dream like that? Was it a warning?'

A knock interrupted your train of thought, nearly making you fall off the bed. You went to the door to see who it was to find Jonathan there.

"Jojo?"

"Hey." He smiled awkwardly. "I heard you guys are leaving today."

"Oh yeah, I actually have to start packing soon." You replied.

"Oh sorry, I'll leave you to that then." He hurriedly stated, almost leaving except you held him back by grabbing the sleeve of his shirt. "Jojo what's wrong?"

"I..." He trailed off as he looked around to see if there was anyone that might listen into their conversation. You tugged him into the room and shut the door behind him. You looked up at him expectantly, awaiting his answer to your question. He let out a deep breathe before giving his explanation. "I just felt as though I've been neglecting you while you've been here this time around, and I obviously shouldn't have done that. I've missed us hanging out."

"It's okay Jojo were still friends, plus you found someone for you so it's understandable that you'd want to be around them a lot." You replied.

Jonathan let out a nervous laugh and rubbed the back of his neck. "Yeah about that, she's been ignoring me lately." You looked at him in shock, pondering how anyone could do such a thing to your friend. "I'm sure she's probably just busy." You stated which made him sigh. "I'm not sure about that, but I am planning on finding out what's wrong with her."

"Wow maybe you should become an investigator instead of an archaeologist." You joked trying to lighten up the mood. Jonathan laughed at your attempt and patted your head. "So do you need help packing?"

"Not so much with packing as to getting my luggage down the stairs and outside." You stated acknowledging your weakness.

"Don't worry about that then I can take it down for you." He smiled.

"And there's the last one." Jonathan grunted as he lifted the last of your family's luggage into the carriage trunk. Even though you and Jonathan were laughing and hanging out like you use to as kids, you could tell the situation with Erina was bothering him.

"Hey Jojo why don't you go and check on Erina? Today might be the day that she'll tell you." He shook his head. "I don't need to do that right now with you leaving and all."

"I can tell it's bothering you so go. I'd rather like knowing the fact that you're happy before I leave and not stressed out by this situation. Just promise that we'll hang out more the next time I visit." You gave him a reassuring smile.

"Of course I promise! Thanks (YN) you're a really good friend!" Jonathan exclaimed before he left. You leaned up against the carriage's side watching him as he left.

"You know he should really stop leading the two of you on like that." A voice boomed behind you, normally this would have caused you to jump, but you've gotten use to this kind of thing happening.

"He's not leading me on Dio there was nothing there in the first place besides it's obvious that he's in love with her." You responded turning to look at the smug lad. "How did you know about Erina anyways?"

Dio let out a small secretive smile. "Oh I have my ways." He walked towards you. "Plus Jojo isn't very good at hiding his emotions." Dio stated as he leaning against the carriage besides you.

You let out a pathetic laugh. "Yeah that's very true."

You stood in silence for a while, not really wanting to talk about the subject at hand before Dio cleared his throat. "So you're finally leaving."

You glanced up at him. "What you going to miss me?"

"Yeah right more like my constant annoyance won't constantly be there, it'll be like heaven." Dio wittily replied.

Ever since the day on the hill whenever Jonathan left the mansion you would hang out with Dio. Usually you guys would just read, quietly enjoying the comfort of one another, but then when you'd get bored and poke Dio to no end you'd usually get scolded by him and then he'd take you out on a walk around the mansion, it was almost as if you were like a dog in those times. He was also your lookout for midnight raids of the kitchen.

"Come on you'll miss getting midnight snacks with me and my amazing stealth skills." You teased.

"You mean you stomping around the kitchen while I have to cover for you when people pass by and ask what the noise is. And you know eating snacks so late at night messes up your eating schedule which you shouldn't do for a young lady such as yourself." Dio nagged.

"Oi!" You glared at him in which he smirked, expecting you to reply just that way. His face then turned a bit serious and then drew his arm around you, pulling you into a hug.

"Dio?"

"Just shut up for a minute. You sure are a handful." He paused. "But I guess I do tolerate you, so I'll be expecting you to return soon." He commented, halfway through his words you hugged him back, slightly pleased by what he said.

"I guess I tolerate you too. Well I mean as long as Jojo isn't around us." You joked, smiling into his chest.

Someone cleared their throat, quickly making you separate yourself from Dio, who was displeased by the sudden interruption. The two of you looked towards the entrance of the mansion to see your parents along with Mr. Joestar. "Sorry for interrupting." Mr. Joestar smiled. Your father went to the carriage and placed his suitcase inside along with helping your mother into the carriage.

"It's nice to see you and Dio getting along." Mr. Joestar commented making you blush.

"She is a lovely lady, I'd be surprised by anyone who wouldn't get along with her." Dio added causing your blush to intensify. You were caught off guard by Dio's sudden change in attitude.

Your father fake coughed at the scene and added on. "You'll need by permission before anything happens young man."

"Dad!" Everyone laughed at your sudden outburst, making you want to hide in a corner and never come out.

"If you do need more time to say goodbye we can leave." Mr. Joestar teased.

"No, no we're done, bye Dio nice knowing you!" You pushed Dio's back so he'd go towards Mr. Joestar, causing your father's to look at the scene in amusement.

"Well then I guess it's about time for you guys to head out then (FN). It was nice seeing you all again. I'm very sorry Jonathan couldn't be here to see you guys off as well." Mr. Joestar stated.

"Don't worry about it George, he probably had something important to do, he'll come around and be a fine gentleman one of these days."

"I believe he already is." Mr. Joestar stated, leaving you to be right about your suspicions that he was just being tough on Jonathan since he expected and wanted the best for him.  Dio and Mr. Joestar went back into the mansion after saying their final farewells, your father got inside the carriage ready to take off, and you were just about to follow his pursuit until you saw Jonathan racing towards the mansion.

"Jojo hey did you find out what was wrong?" You questioned. He stopped in front of you, slightly out of breath. When your eyes met his you froze not liking the look in his eyes. "Jojo?..." You barely made out, anger was pierced through his eyes, his whole aura seemed to radiate it.

"Sorry, but yes I did. I'm about to go and take care of it right now, but don't worry about it just have a safe trip (YN) hopefully we'll see each other soon." He stated rather fast before rushing off into the mansion, leaving you on the step of the carriage very confused.

While you took off on your journey back home you couldn't get the image of Jonathan out of your mind. Something very bad must have happened to make Jonathan angry. You furrowed your brows together in concern. 'Hopefully everything is okay with him.'

"I never knew Dio and you got along." Your father brought back up the dreaded conversation.

"Oh yeah sometimes when Jojo was out we'd talk." You blankly replied, not paying much attention.

"Alone?" You mindlessly nodded.

Your mother raised an eyebrow in surprise at this. "What about Jonathan?" Your mother questioned.

"What about him?" You wondered, not totally understanding why your mother brought him up.

Your parents exchanged looks with each other "If Dio hurts you or makes you cry I'll kill him." Your father blurted.

You blinked at him. "Uh...okay?" You said, use to your father being overprotective.

Your mother hummed. "I thought you'd have chosen Jonathan, but Dio is the more better choice so for once you chose right." You glared at your mother for the comment, then registered just exactly what she had said.

"It's not like that!" You exclaimed, slightly embarrassed.

Little did you know that while you were being embarrassed and probed for details about you and Dio, that Jonathan and Dio were dealing with their own battle, a battle which would change their courses and cause unrest in the Joestar manor.
