This must be how it feels like to discover that you have a whole world at your very own fingertips, and after a split second you realize, without a kernel of doubt – that you are not ready. Like a bird, I'd say, that could have the whole world beneath its feet, but is yet to learn how to fly.

At this age, I want for so many. I map out my life like a pictograph, making numerous lists of things I want to accomplish, things I want to happen. I know I have a long way to go, so much to learn – but there are days when I find myself desperately wanting to cut to the chase. Sometimes, that anticipation swallows me from the inside and I forget how to breathe; other times I remember that this is because I am still learning how to swim.

Indeed, I want for so many. However, to know that I have a whole world at my fingertips is my power. Not today, not tomorrow, but soon I will be ready. And when that time comes, I will unfold my wings, and fly, and have the whole world beneath my feet.
