Looks can be deceiving,

   as there is always more than what meets the eye.

You may see her as a gust of wind,

   but she could easily be a tornado.

A pretty snowflake before a harsh avalanche,

   a shallow pond that hides a deep trench underneath.

You may think she's a radiant sunshine,

   ...but there's always a calm before the storm.
