Jesse's POV
"Hey guys. We should get inside." They all nodded and we headed inside. From the moment we walked in, everything looked gorgeous! The music, the decorations, the lights, everything, it was beautiful. You could hear the sound of people talking, laughing and chiming their glasses together over the classic music. Everyone was formally dressed, the women were wearing fancy dresses in every color and style you can think of. While the men were also in different style and color tuxes. Wow...the roof was made of all glass that gave the best view of the night sky you could ask for. There were also a couple crystal chandlers that hung from the sealing. We all talked for a bit before deciding to grab a few Piñacoladas from the bar. While we were ordering our drinks I notice someone in the crowd...someone familiar...
Crap...
Lukas' POV
I'm standing next to the bar and I notice Jesse staring off into the crowd. I followed her gaze and....
No! No! NO! Not tonight! WHY?!
Hopefully he doesn't see me or Jesse. Or any of us for that matter. I do not want to have to deal with him tonight. I know it's been a few years and I should have forgave him a long time ago but after what he did to me, Jesse, the rest of the group and the lives of an entire city, I'm not sure I can. Just ignore him. Tonight's about Jesse. He's seen us hasn't he...?
I glance back at him and we make eye-contact.
Crap...
He smirks then walks over to us...
Nooo...
He opens up his mouth to talk to us...
Dang it!
Aiden: "Lukas! It's nice to see you again. And you too Jesse"
"Hello Aiden..." I said unenthusiastically. Jesse stayed silent though.
Aiden: " It's been a long while..."
"Yes...last time I remember seeing you was when you we being dragged off by a guard in Sky City..." I replied being rude and I knew it too. But if I'm honest, I can't say I regretted it.
Jesse: "Lukas!" She said annoyed at my rude comment.
Aiden: " Yes well...*clears throat* it was a one time thing..."
Aiden attempted to change the subject and complemented Jesse saying: "My, Jesse, don't you look lovely tonight." He then grabbed Jesse's hand and bent down to try and kiss the back of it. Thankfully, Jesse pulled her hand away before he was able to and held it behind her back. Did- did he really just do that? Did he really just try to kiss the back of her hand? While I'm right next to her? Oh gosh I really hate this guy... I don't know if he was just trying to be friendly or if he was actually trying to flirt with her but either way, I'm pretty pissed. Out of nowhere, someone taps my shoulder. I turned around to see who it was and it was Jess. He told me that our drinks were ready. Oh my goodness! Jess, you are a life saver! He then looked at Aiden (not recognizing him because he's never met Aiden before. Lucky him) but before he could say anything, Aiden spoke up-
Aiden: " I'll let you have your night. It was nice seeing you both again" and with that, he left without saying another word.  We both were kinda speechless...Jess on the other hand, had no idea what was going on. We tried to forget about it while we sipped down our Piñacoladas but it was impossible. A few minutes go by and eventually Jesse asks me: "Are you okay?"
"Uh NO! He tried to kiss your hand! In front of me no less. How in the world would I be okay with that?" I said in a very annoyed and pissed off tone of voice.
Jesse: "It was...weird..." She said unsettled.
"That's one way to say it..." I muttered under my breath.
