Jesse's POV

I was so shocked and so startled that it was hard to process what had just happened. I silently whispered the words "Thank you". I got up and and continued to play, it being the only thing left to do...

Lukas' POV

I rushed over to help Jesse defend herself against a robber, while trying to avoid the gladiator's TNT. Jesse made the first move, only to have it blocked. The robber goes next, aiming for Jesse's feet but she moved out of the way, dodging the attack. The robber made another quick move and knocked her off her feet in the blink of an eye.

Due to the sudden fall, she dropped her shovel and it landed a few feet away, out of reach...

I looked up and a block of TNT was headed right for me. Bingo. "Hey, Ugly! Over here!" I yelled and he turned to look at me. "Jesse! Move!" I warned her. The TNT came right at me and at the right moment, I took a few steps backward and hit it with my shovel as if we were playing a baseball game.

Jesse's POV

Lukas yells for me to move in a bit of a panic and I happily did so. He then hits the TNT, in mid air, with his shovel and it came flying towards us. Remembering what Lukas instructed me to do, I dove out of the way. I landed hard on the snow as the sound of the TNT rang in my ears. My heart was racing and I was breathing heavily as I covered my head with my hands. With the sound of the explosion gone, I turned right side up and saw a massive hole just a few blocks in front of me. Lukas rushed over and knelt down next to me. "Are you okay?" He asked me with worry in his voice. I stayed silent other than my heavy breathing. "Jesse, are you hurt?" He asked, sounding more frantic this time. "No, no I'm fine. Just...shocked." He let out a sigh of relief, then gave me a small smile. He got up and extended his hand out to me. I gladly took it and he lifted me up off the snowy floor. With my hand still holding his, he asked one more time-
"Are you sure you're okay?"

"Honestly, honey, I'm fine. Thank you for saving me though."

Lukas:" Well it's not like I was just going to stand there and watch you die."

I smiled at him and let go of this hand. He smiles back at me (he's so cute ❤️) I turn around to grab my shovel that I had dropped when that robber had caught me by surprise. Only, its not there. It's not anywhere near where I was. Then I noticed a single one block hole a few blocks away. It wasn't there before. Oh no, that must have been where my shovel landed! Someone must have gotten rid of it while I was diving for cover. I'm defenseless...
Or maybe someone else picked it up to have an advantage? I looked around to see if anyone was carrying two shovels but no. It's gone. I turned again and looked up at Otto's viewing area and yelled at him, saying that someone got rid of my shovel.

Otto:" I'm sorry, Jesse, but there's nothing in the rules against a competitor taking away another person's shovel."

Are you kidding me?! So you're saying that I can't get my shovel back?!

Sorry this one's a bit shorter than what I usually upload but to be fair, I did upload one yesterday so...
