Hope

In the world full of violence and terror,

I met a small girl, smiling at me with glee,

Hope was the only rule in her world,

For she said "I hope someday I become a doctor"

As she looked back at the injured soldiers who rescued her people.

The girl lost everything in such a fragile age.

But I couldn't fail to notice that even when the god was cruel to take away everything from her, he couldn't take away the hope of a human.

As that day I finally learned,

That whenever you feel you're lost, remember there is always a hope.....

It was already noon, after my sweet little endearment and meeting with nemesis of Cordelia Chan.....I went straight back to my apartment and collapsed on the floor. I was exhausted with all my adventures today....but somehow I couldn't lay aside the thoughts of those grey eyed stranger.....they apparently held me star struck.

After collapsing on the floor, I woke up next in the early morning, scattered, sleeping in a weird angle almost smooching the ground beneath me, as I wiped the extra drool threatening to spill off my face, I stared with deemed eyes at the puddle of drool that I created on the ground where I was sleeping last night, indeed it was looking horrific, but I shrugged it off and wiped it with my T shirt, call it gross but I don't care.

It was already eight in the morning, getting up I tried to stretch as those stray dogs in the morning, apparently my latest nature adventure was to watch those homeless stray dogs from far away, their unique way of stretching really caught my attention.

I started emptying my suitcase, and tried to do some cleaning around, as the apartment floor and walls had some dust accumulated on it, as much as I hate cleaning up, I was compelled to do so, cause I couldn't afford another medical bill after my bandaged hand last night, it was obvious I lived in an unhygienic environment I was tend to get ill.

After doing the needful and finally setting in my new belongings, I smiled at the thought of having a home of my own, even though it was rental but still it was mine, to do whatever I want to do.

Having a quick bath and removing all the germs off my body, I finally decided to have a quick brunch, as my stomach was already growling.

Stumbling and Tumbling I made my way out of my weary looking apartment building...I was in search of some food and with that determination in my mind I made my way towards the same coffee shop besides the flower shop that I came across last night, where I met that grey eyed flower thief, how strange somehow or the other he always ends up being inside my head.

Having a great cup of coffee and my favourite blue berry pancake, I decided to head back home as I need to figure out my way towards Elite High tomorrow, I had no freaking idea how to reach there from my old apartment building.

Currently, I was kicking around some random stones on my way, mumbling my own cherry tune, but I guess God doesn't really wants me to be happy, as the stone unfortunately flew a bit far away hitting a big black dog, honestly I love dogs they are adorable, I mean I have even read about this dog on the internet who was a true best friend of a Schizophrenic girl and how he saved her life and eventually got married, but honestly here I'm no schizophrenic girl and that dog doesn't look like he want to be friends with me, I shuddered at the thought of his sharp teethes buried beneath my rear end, cryptic enough.

"Umm....sweet little doggie, I don't want any harm, stay right there....sweet little doggie" I gulped hard, the dog was glaring at me and his only reply for me was a huge growl.

The events occurred after that was quite embarrassing in itself, I got myself a free bath in the public as I was all drenched up in cold water because of some angry dog, which chased me all the way to my doom, which happens to be a lake.

After slopping out my way off the lake, I shook myself like a doggie as I tried to remove all the droplets off me, but I didn't realised the water to be cold, it was until and unless a gush of wind past by which eventually made me realised that indeed the water was cold, strike that...it was very cold, double strike....it was really very, very freaking cold.

But as I said, I was a stupid strong girl, strong enough to walk in the cold, shivering and doing a strange kind of Penguin walk I made my way towards a pizza corner a few streets away from the lake I fell in.

From afar it looked like an average pizza corner, where folks from around come here for eating out with their friends and family, people usually stared at me whenever I past by them, I guess it was strange for them to see a random teenager passing by, not their fault.....looking at me currently I looked like a drowned fish so yeah it was scary enough for them.

I also noticed that the people here grew up knowing each and everybody in the town, so certainly staring a girl, penguin walking hey way towards them was quite surprising enough for them.

On the way I met a woman with her son arguing over something; apparently my strange Penguin walk caught their attention.

"Mommy! Mommy! look at that girl, is she a zombie"

You got that right Kid; a drenched girl looked no less than a zombie/white walker.

"That's rude to do so Leo, what I taught you about pointing fingers at people sweetie! , now listen to me carefully, if you don't want to end up like her, you got to wear that muffler in winter, cause the Gods always punishes the one who doesn't listen to their Mommy, they get cursed into a zombie"

"No! I don't want to end up like her mommy! Here see I have warn my muffler"

Apparently I really admired the cooked up story made by the mother to scare of her son, it totally worked on him, but I really wished that she had made those efforts in her career, she could have written a good chick flick fantasy novel and would be a well flourished writer instead of being a mother, life would be certainly different for her, but I shrugged off the idea and concentrated on my current situation.

Well at least I was setting up some good example for the young generation.

I continued walking the strange walk.....while I finally reached the pizza corner....And that's the moment when things started to go all crazy.

"Welcome to Zoe's Pizza Corner! Ding-a-ling.! .....special discount!!! Tink! Tink! Ding-a-ling.... On our Double Margaret Cheesy Pizza.....Buy one get one Free!! Tink! Tink!"

Apparently, this annoying noise was made by some gigantic makeshift bunny, warn by some strange guy with annoying bells in his hands, I screeched at the tinkering noise as it was really painful for me to hear the Ding-a-ling noise chirping inside my head, I guess I'm not fond of these Tinkers, that's why I never watched Tinker bell.....

Hearing the free word....some crazy kid pushed me off and to my horror I bumped into that makeshift bunny guy, period it was indeed a moving creature...

"Hey are you alright, are you feeling dizzy? You can come over to our Zoe's Pizza Corner, we have some great juices to try on, but we have some really cheesy and delicious pizzas too, apparently Zoe's pizza offers free home delivery services and also we provide our first time customers with free gifts, aren't girls nowadays into those free gifts, I bet you will like it too and if you want I can ask for some special discount for beautiful girl like you ;) we can keep that as a little secret girly so what do you say?"

I dimly stared at the talking face of a stuffed animal....is this guy really works here?

I mean dressing up in a bunny suit is quite hilarious and entertaining to watch....but isn't he taking his job a bit too seriously?

"A...bunny....no I mean thanks, I'm alright and yeah I will certainly try some pizza's over here next time, but you see I just had my brunch and I'm kind of full" I quickly replied.

It was really strange to talk with a bunny head guy, trust me because I couldn't even see his face, so it felt really weird doing that.

By the time from the inside of the shop someone yelled.

"Hey! Carter.... you are off....see ya tomorrow"

"Hey thanks Broody, catch you later" I stared at the scene playing in front of me as I saw the bunny head guy waving to a Squirrel, no I mean a Squirrel headed guy, what is it really happening around me?! Now when I noticed the poster outside the pizza corner, they were celebrating an animal day today, so all the staffs here were dressed up as animals, that explains the bunny headed guy and the squirrel.

But I didn't fail to notice the bunny head guy in front of me, just like Spider Man removes his mask revealing his handsome face. The Bunny head guy removed his bunny head and there came a handsome looking boy with Brown thick hairs and amazing green eyes.

"You should watch where you are walking girl, it could be a car.....I mean seriously are you alright you are looking really pale" he held my hand and screamed like a dinosaur.....and trust me I haven't seen anybody scream so loudly ever in my life, my ear drums were currently paralyzed.

Somehow he got me inside the Zoe's Pizza shop, near a warm heater.....And held a towel in my hand.

"Girl are you serious I know it's tempting to die, but still bathing in cold water, that too in this weather.....trust me it's not at all cool"

"Not my fault, I was stuck in an unfortunate situation which landed me all wet" I decided not to tell him the truth; I mean who tells a cute boy that they were being chased by some dog.

"Hey chill, no need to get all hiked up, I guess you need to change from your clothes....they already creating a puddle of water on the carpet, I bet the janitor won't be happy with this puddle"

I thought for a second.....is it the right decision to trust him, indeed he looked helpful enough, but still I had my own doubts...

"Here's my T-shirt and hoodie, they will keep you warm....about the pants....I guess you need to wear these sweatpants, it would be big enough for you, but you don't have any choice do you?"

"Umm...thanks I guess"

I walked inside the bathroom and dumped my wet clothes in a bag and worn the clothes he gave in....the black batman T shirt was big enough for me but yet comfortable when I pulled up his hoodie over it, walking out of the bathroom, I saw that the brown haired boy was nowhere to be seen, but there was indeed a group of boys standing besides the lockers, maybe I can ask them about him?

"Hey, umm.....guys have you seen a brown haired, green eyed boy.....he happens to work here_-" but before I could continue they intervened

"Hey pal look isn't she wearing Carter's Clothes, hey chic are you his girlfriend"

"Wait....what!...I mean no, you guys are having a wrong idea"

"Damn! .....He is so lucky.....aren't you a beautiful one, come on with us we could even be more fun than him, did he tell you about his horrible family"

Immediately before the guys standing in front of me can continue further.....the brown haired boy emerged out of nowhere and banged his arm straight at the side lockers and at once the boys in front of me backed away.

"I'm sweet enough, to you guys during the working hours, but trust me dude you don't want to mess with me right now" he grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the exit.....and trust me his face was all dark....with anger residing in his green eyes, something was definitely wrong about him right now.

I guess it's something related to his family which made him get so angry, we neared the exit, but before we could leave any further, he abruptly stopped and turned towards the boys again as he spoke loudly

"Don't ever try to mess with me and my friends, pin it straight to your thick heads, cause the next time it won't only be the locker which will be bashed" immediately I stared at the locker where he banged his hand and indeed there was a nasty looking dent formed upon it, I guess this boy really works out hard.

In the end Moral of the story: Don't be judgemental, there are demons hidden behind every beautiful face.

And that's how we zoomed out of the pizza corner.

"I'm sorry girl, if they bothered you, sometimes they really don't understand what they are doing, by the way I'm Eigen Carter "he gave me his toothy grin which was so infectious that I couldn't help but smile myself, that was really a quick mood shift I mentally thought.

"It's cool Eigen, I guess they had some misunderstanding, by the way I'm Kiara Gyon and yeah thanks again for lending me these clothes" I gave him my polite smile.

"You know Kiara you look really cute in those over sized clothes of mine, just like a sack of potatoes" ,which got us both laughing really hard.

Talking with Eigen reminded me of Sid, he was just like him, a total sweetheart and yet clueless sometimes, but he definitely got many faces to show, this Eigen was totally different from the one I saw back in the pizza corner, hopefully a little less intimidating.

"So Kiara, where do you stay, if you want I can walk you back to your house"

"No, it's cool Eigen, I don't want to bother you and besides my apartment is couple of streets away only"

"It's nothing like that and besides I'm free at the moment, just got my shift over, so yeah its cool I'm dropping you off so you were saying something about living on your own, I mean that's pretty cool" Eigen continued the talk while walked ahead, he was a good few feet's taller than me and definitely made many heads turn around his way, do I even have to say he was a damn looker.

"Trust me Eigen, it's not at all cool and besides if you meet my landlady Mrs Cordelia Chan you won't think even about crossing her for once"

"Well from the way you have described her, she seems like really a person worth paying a visit for sure"

"If a person has lost his brain and if I get a chance to meet them, I would certainly slap in some senses within them to dare ever think about meeting her, I mean seriously she is a spawn of Satan"

"Well....well now I'm really excited to meet her Kiara, please let me visit your place....please pretty please"

Eigen begged me to meet Mrs Cordelia Chan at first I denied but then I have to give up on those beautiful green eyes, damn this boy uses his assets very well.

And this is the way we ended up standing in front of my old looking apartment building.

"Are you sure Eigen, you really want to do this" I asked him for the billionth time for thinking such an awful idea

"I'm excited now; of course yeah let's meet the sweet little Cordelia Chan"

"Cool then beware here comes your doom"

We walked inside the gates and we saw something creepy....Indeed Cordelia Chan was a Copster Doggie, smelling boys just like weeds before she can pounce on them.

I was frozen, staring in horror at the scene folding in front of me, indeed Cordelia Chan was tantalizing the boy beside me and to my extreme amusement Eigen was giving her those glassy puppy dog doe eyes, as if they are long lost friends.

"Are you serious Kiara, she looks to so adorable old granny, I mean look at her tiny frame she is so short and cute"

"Yeah Cute like more of a Creep for me, come on Eigen how can you miss her wolfish grin and besides that huge sword she is holding, how can you miss those major assets dude" I cried him to get serious with the situation we are currently in.

"Oh, don't be ridiculous Kiara, she has a look of motherly affection, she is amazing"

Okay I declare Eigen as a sure shot a goner, cause he isn't going to survive after this meeting, I mean how can he miss that trail of drool at the corner of that old hags mouth, she is giving him all those predator looks.

"Hey Come on let's meet up, the old gran, you never know she can even hand us some Cookies" Eigen jumped up and down like some excited kindergarten at the first day of their school, but I thought that how long his happy go lucky persona will last.

"Are you out of your mind, she can instead crush your cookies for god sake, use your brain you idiot"

"Relax Kiara, I mean sometime or the other you have to get along with your landlady, let's just meet her up, maybe she likes you when I tell her that you are friends with me"

"Look Eigen, we met just like twenty minutes ago and now you consider me as your friend, it's really flattering to know that but you shouldn't trust people so often and-"

"Hey Shush.....look I guess that old lady is coming downstairs"

And yes he was right, Cordelia Chan indeed came downstairs with Lot of makeup caked up on her face ,I mentally thought..... For whom the hell is she dressing up?!

"Kiachan- it's please to see you again dear, well I see you bought a handsome gentleman along with you, mind if you introduce me to him" okay I guess I'm about to puke right now, like how the hell this woman changes her faces every second, at once she is all crazy old hag and at another a loving grandma, I'm seriously telling you this woman has more face changing abilities then I ever had any hormonal change.

"Hey there beautiful, Hi! I'm Eigen.....Eigen Carter, Kiara's friend, she did told me that she has such a gem of a landlady" to my horror, he kissed her hand and I freaking bet that the old hag drooled at him the moment.

Smooth....really smooth Carter boy, apparently I learned Eigen got the wooing abilities right there and that's going to be the reason of his death.

"Awe......that's really sweet of you, why don't you come in for a cup of Japanese tea, I must tell you it really works for the young boys like you, making up your muscles and all, isn't that your priorities nowadays, I bet girls like me nowadays dig in for man like that heavenly bodies, Am I wrong Eigen?"

She was indeed staring at his torso, and I totally agree, Eigen wasn't that bad looker, but offering a cup of tea that to inside her haven of doom......Uh huh it's not a good sign, warning bells were jiggling ....please say no..... please say no....

"Oh, I would love to" noooo!!!!..... Freaking noooo!!!!!.... You stupid green eyed boy! Now she will kill you!

"But I guess couldn't, sorry to tell you that Mrs Cordelia but I got some errands to run for, I got to be heading, I was just dropping by Kiara back, may be next time" Thank god, that someone kicked some sense inside his head.

"Oh, that's really sad, but I must say it was thoughtful of you to drop Kiara back home and here I thought good boys like you never existed, maybe you can come later tomorrow"

"Yup, sure why not, okay then bye Kiara, I got to be going, you can give me those clothes back tomorrow at the pizza corner, I will see you around bye!"

"Hey Eigen! Wait.....at what time I'm suppose to come!" but he was long gone.

I turned around and froze, indeed Cordelia Chan was back to her bitchy self, as she continued staring at me intensely from head to toe,

"Umm....Mrs Cordelia Chan, is everything alright, you are kinda staring me out" I blurted out the words before I could think.

"I'm looking at what he sees in you, Indeed you are good looking, well I was also once good looking just like you and most importantly you better make this sure girl, that if you broke up with your eye candy boyfriend, then I'm kicking you out of here, I mean how the hell I'm suppose to meet him again if you don't date him"

I was shocked, nope let me rephrase it, I was astonished with her licentious comment, she wants me to date Eigen just for her own benefit, evil truly evil.

"I got to be going, I feel sick" Immediately I ran towards my apartment door and banged it closed taking a huge gulp of air, as I thought of the trail of events occurred today, that was really crazy.

Later in the night I was busy cooking a special soup that I learned to cook from the Royal Chef back in Millenrai, apparently that was the easiest thing for lazy people like me to cook, but all my appetite was lost when I got a call from this certain someone.

As I picked up the call, hearing the voice of that person annoyed the every cell of my body, I wasn't expecting him to call.

"You think you can run away from me Kitten ;)"
