wedding day

Alastors pov

I fixed my tie in the mirror, making sure it was straight. After today I'll be a married man. What a terrifying thought!

"Oh alastor you look so handsome" Rosie gushed "Are you ready to marry the love of your life?"

"I'm ready to get married yes" I shrugged.

"Alastor!" She gave me a disapproving look.

"It's fine Rosie" I patted her shoulder "go take your seat. I'll be out soon"

"Fine" she sighed as she headed off. I took one last look in the mirror. It's showtime!

*Time skip*

I stood at the alter where I watched Lucifer walked towards me, his father by his side. Rosie did a wonderful job on his outfit. He looked...

Lovely.

"Caught you staring" Lucifer giggled as his father reluctantly let him go "do you think I look pretty?"

"Actually I was admiring how that top hat makes you look taller" I flicked his hat.

"Jerk" he grumbled as he fixed his hat.

"Dearly beloved" Lucifer's cousin st Peter began the ceremony. After going over our vows he finished with a "you may now kiss the groom"

I froze. I have to kiss him? Fuck why didn't I think of that! How do I do this? Luckily I didn't have to think for long as Lucifer grabbed my tie and pulled me into a kiss. Strangely enough it didn't feel terrible.

"Was that good?" He asked as everyone clapped for us.

"Yes I suppose it was" I turned away to hide my red face "let's just get to the festivities"

*Time skip*

"You're surprisingly graceful" I commented as we had our first dance "were you practicing?"

"I actually learnt to dance from my mother" I was surprised by his answer. This is the first time I've heard anything about his mother.

"Funny I never met her"

"Well you wouldn't. She died a long time ago" he looked away sadly.

"Ah" I gave the boy a pitying look "I lost my own mother a few years ago so you have my sympathises"

"That sounds tough" he lay his head against my chest "I bet they would have been happy for us"

"Yes I think my mother would have liked you. You both had that annoying habit of seeing the best in people" he giggled at my words. I found myself smiling by the end of the dance. It was a surprisingly nice day.
