the joke of Olympia
Lucifers pov
"Lalalala" I sang to myself as I helped the grass and plants grow. I looked at my work proudly. I don't have the most important job but that's ok. It's important for everyone to do their part. That's what father always says.
"Oh gosh look at the time" I gasped before turning to my newly grown plants "bye bye my babies. I'll come back to help you grow more tomorrow" with that I flew back to my home.
Olympia.
This place is a kingdom full of gods of all shapes and sizes. Michael the god of war, Gabriel the god of wisdom, azreal the god of death, Raphael the god of judgement. A bunch of big titles like that. Mortals rarely remember the god of spring.
"Luci!" I was tackle hugged by my little sister Charlie the goddess of redemption. Even her title sounds cooler than mine! "How was work today?"
"It was alright. I managed to bring life back to a garden that was abandoned by mortals"
"That's so cool. I bet the mortals will really appreciate your hard work" she smiled sweetly "today I managed to turn a mortal away from stealing. With a little extra work he'll surely become an upstanding member of society"
"Amazing work as always Charlie" I stared at her in awe "well after all that hard work I'd say we earned a feast fit for a god"
She laughed at my dumb joke as we walked to the dining table. The chatter of my older siblings filled the room. Each of them were talking about their day.
"Man I'm beat" azreal sighed "why do humans have to drop like flies? It makes it real difficult to get some time off"
"That would probably be with all the war they insist on taking part in. Though it does make for decent entertainment" Michael chuckled.
"That's the beauty of humanity. They're each different people capable of both good, evil and a little in-between" Charlie smiled softly.
"Yeah. Humans sure are amazing" my eyes sparkled.
"How would you know?" Michael scoffed "you're the only god that doesn't interact with humans"
"Aw little Luci thinks he's as important as us" azreal pinched my cheeks.
"I am!" I slapped his hand away "everyone's jobs are important. Father said so!"
"He said that so you wouldn't feel bad Lucifer" Raphael sighed "your skills are useful I'll admit but you shouldn't overestimate yourself. Without us humans would struggle with everyday life. All you really do is speed up the process"
I watched as everyone burst into mocking laughter except Charlie who was given me a pityful look. I cut them off by slamming my hand down in the table.
"Well who cares what you think. You're all a bunch of arrogant jerks anyway!" I took off running before they could stop me.
Why do they have to treat me like a joke!
