I looked down nightmare had planted and infection during his last attack during the fight all those years ago, the others were shocked as I stopped hiding it. It had spread across my chest and was slowly making its way to my face, they back away and I knew I scared them.
"He did this to me and ever since I haven't been as strong or healed as quickly as I should have, already nightmare is stronger then me, unless I heal quickly soon I won't be strong enough to fight him," I sighed, the infection was a dark purple and looked like spikes making their way through my nightmare forms veins. It was golden Freddy who spoke first, he looked saddened.
"I was forced by nightmare to find an infection that slowly weakened his enemies, I at the time thought he was the one who saved me until you came along and I remembered you, I didn't know he would use it to try and cheat," Golden Freddy explained, immediately shadow Freddy had him pinned against a wall.
"YOU IDIOT!" He yelled, I had to use what weakened powers I had to seperate them.
"ENOUGH! It's not his fault he never knew what it's use was until now, nightmare wants us to tear apart so we are easy for him to kill, I doubt I will be able to live if I fail after I banished him but if I do he will use me as a battery to gain the energy he lost,"I explained standing between them, they cooled off after a while. I sat allowing the rain to just reach me, James who was very silent sat next to me.
"I won't allow the infection to kill you off if nightmare can't, this is cheating and isn't fair at all, because of this I will work on a cure for you no matter what this isn't counted as fair," James promised, he went off after taking a sample of the infection and leaving to work on it. I sighed and went to the mouth of the cave not wanting to go deeper or I would panic again, the rain began to calm down and slowly came to a stop. I walked out into the water covered world, I looked around allowing the cool breeze to smooth my cuts and sooth the infections. Suddenly a twig snapped and I stood still, I waited for whoever was watching my to move slightly and I used what power raged inside me to pin them to a tree. I instantly stopped seeing it was a human with his son, I shook my head the infections were getting to me. I stumbled back and looked at the man, he was stunned but didn't seem afraid of me. His son was shivering but he was curious, I turned to face them fully wondering why they were so curious.
"H-hello?" The man greeted, I looked at him I was probably terrifying in my condition.
"Hello," I replied as calmly as I could, they smiled and took a step closer but I stepped back. I wasn't safe, they understood this and stayed where they were.
"Y-your friendly?" The man asked, I nodded and they murmured something.
"Why do you humans hunt us for experiments?" I questioned, they looked shocked but the man who seemed to be the one with words replied.
"They call you aliens but, seeing up close the one who save us from that demon all those years ago I don't think your aliens, your creations of your own lives and your amazing yes I may have startled you but I witnessed that you can feel emotions like us, I may have been watching you all for a while but no one else knows, I used to know a guy, James was his name, he loved animatronics and I watched him create you, I watched him take you and hide you, I did nothing to help but when I found his lodge I thought you were to blame until I came across the battle, I didn't mean to stay but I watched you fight and how others feared for you, it makes me realise your not monsters but living things that people don't understand," he explained, it took me by surprise how much he knew but I bent down even in my scary state he didn't flinch or look away but he looked at me like no human had.
"The demon you say is called Nightmare, he killed James and many others trying to control my power which only me and Nightmare hold, I am sadly connected to his power and if he is near death I automatically transfer power to keep him alive, but it's not safe to be around here anymore, but come with me, we put James's soul into a spare suit we found come," I stood up and led the man and his boy to the cave, the others gave me curious looks but stayed where they were. James saw the man and stood, he came forwards and knelt down.
"H-Henry your still alive? And have a son?" James half asked himself, the man nodded.
"I have sad news I bring I need to tell you all, Nightmare correct? He's on the move hunting a killing those without mercy and leaving no survivors, I watched my town killed without mercy but managed to follow you all here without being followed, I didn't know if I would be treated kindly but I came anyways, I couldn't stand by and do nothing, everyone says the black demon, well Nightmare was killed years ago but I watched him leave while on my way to James's place, now he's coming back and I think he's after...... her," he motioned to me, I shook my head.
"I am still too weak to face him and my infection makes it worse, but I won't let you all be killed for mere power not as long as my soul and power flows through my body," I muttered and stood, I walked out to the cave mouth again looking into the distance.
"Henry thank for the news but since you know this much Nightmare will want you, it's safer for you to stay with us," Shadow Freddy explained, Henry nodded understanding why. I gave a sigh looking at nothing at in particular, if Nightmare was already tracking us down it meant he had all his strength again. Fear now choked me, I wasn't ready to take him on.
