I woke up inside the cave, the others were murmuring quietly. I sat up seeing Henry had bandaged my wounds, everyone looked over at my grunt of pain. They rushed over to my side, I knew they thought I was kidding earlier when I was close to death but now my wounds were treated and covered I could think.
"I...... failed you, Nightmare won and now he will do whatever he wishes, he said for me to vanish forever and never return," I explained in painful rasps, Freddy shook his head.
"If you are in banishment then we are too, we are your friends and will be forever more," shadow Freddy whispered, I shook my head softly.
"I-its my p-punishment n-not yours," I rasped, shadow Freddy looked at me through sad eyes. I knew he didn't want to loose me as we had known each other for so long, I sat up full holding my wounds even though they were bandaged.
"We won't know what to do without you," Golden Freddy sat by Shadow Freddy's side, I knew they would resist me going into banishment alone. In my state I couldn't stand and either way they would follow me anywhere, finally I gave in.
"Fine but we can't go out of hiding and must live on the run all the time until we find somewhere safe," I sighed, their eyes lit up slightly but they worried for my condition. I wished I could sleep away my worries but I couldn't, Nightmare was victorious. I failed the world and set their Doom, I would live forever banished. My whole left eye was bandaged to allow it to heal, Henry went to the nearest town a lot to get supplies. I would live my life forever guilty for loosing, the world would begin to fall apart thanks to me. I stared out into the falling snow, everyone was busy with something now. Shadow Freddy was watching me incase I made a sudden change, I sighed.
"How ya holding up?" Shadow Freddy questioned looking at me, I gave a painful shrug.
"I'm good other then the constant pain from my wounds," I muttered, a cool breeze blew into the cave chilling my wounds. It soothed the pain slightly but not enough to numb the pain. Shadow Freddy sat beside me trying to cheer me up, I couldn't get over the fact I failed everyone. Nightmare was probably out killing for power, he would enjoy my banishment forever.
"You will heal, you were so close to leaving us that James and Henry worked extra hard to stop your bleeding, and once your ready I hope you kill Nightmare for what he plans to do, if you don't I will," Shadow Freddy promised, I shivered thinking about how happy he was for his victory. Shadow Freddy seemed too content with Nightmares Demise it scared me, he noticed this and sighed.
"I'm sorry, I know how hard it was to face him when you weren't ready, I skip to conclusions too quickly, I just, I just can't believe what's happened recently, Nightmare now does what he wants, I wish you could have won," he sighed, now I was getting angry. He was getting more and more ungrateful, I turned away from him.
"I tried my best if I had risked using more energy I would be dead and gone!" I snapped, he winced at my words. Golden Freddy knew something was up and came over, at his look shadow Freddy left to make himself useful.
"Hey he's just worried, he isn't taking your condition well, it's hard, we almost lost you, James and Henry are exhausted and shadow is just trying to shed some hope but he can't figure out how, he's lost without your leadership," Golden Freddy comforted sitting beside me, I sighed knowing he was right.
"I know it's just hard, you all deserve better and here I am half dead, it's just hard for me to get used to it, I am meant to be facing this exile alone and dying, Nightmare won't stop until I suffer at his feet, he may have defeated me but if he figures out I'm not alone he will come after us," I explained, Golden Freddy now understood why I didn't want them to go into exile with me.
"If Nightmare wants us he will have to fight all of us, I know you won't let him touch us, you tried your hardest and we thank you for it but in your condition Nightmare will easily take you away just to weaken us," Golden Freddy whispered, I nodded knowing that if it weren't for me they would probably be confused and lost. I sat up properly having some strength back, Golden Freddy helped me sit up being ready incase I needed help.
"I will fight until I die to protect you all," I promised, a look of concern crossed his face when I said it. I looked at the entrance again, a laugh sounded from somewhere and made me look around. He was here, he followed me back. He was hearing every last word, seeing his eyes made me freeze.
